The emotions at the end there! Somehow it's pulling on my tears even stronger than the ending of Hero of Ages...
I love how we are getting chapters where we are seeing the story with Wayne's and Marasi's first person perspective, definitly made their characters felt closer as a reader. Getting to see the kandras returning into the story is also very exicting!
Really interesting to see Marasi's slow bubble getting some critical uses again towards the end there just like Alloy of Law. I really want to know if we will get Wayne and Marasi getting to use their bubbles together, what benefits could that give? Either a slow bubble fully enclosing a fast bubble or something like a venn diagram where you stuck a person in between the two? Obviously don't spoil me whether that happens in a later book or not, I will RAFO myself :D

We have all seen Canada Posts financial statements which indicates that they are in the red by over 3 billion dollars these past 6 years and that number is only going to keep growing, leading to a possible bankruptcy in the future. Since both sides are at an impasse in negotiations why don't we try something different and let the union run Canada post and be involved in the decision making process. If the union is able to steer Canada post in the right direction and actually turn a profit then they can give themselves whatever wage increase and benefits they desire. However If they are unable to turn things around and Canada post remains in a financial death spiral then they can take the responsibility of cutting workers and benefits.

I want to make a short film, This film is called “The Hollow Man” not sure if I’m pushing the boundaries of amateur film making? This film is 30 mins.

CGI (Maybe) Sound Cast Camera Operators/W cameras Assistant Costume Designers and and makeup artist Etc..
This is an unpaid gig, for learning purposes .
Script is already written. If need be I can start a kickstarter or Gofundme for compensation and things we may need.
As I said, this is for learning purposes and I will post the backstory of the script below. I think this would be awesome to do and see how far we can push ourselves. Check it out and let me know what you think?
The Hollow Man’s Backstory: “The Wretched Curse”
Long before the creature became The Hollow Man, it was a man named Elias Crane, a quiet, kind-hearted individual who lived in a small, superstitious village. Elias was an artist, known for crafting porcelain masks that captured emotions with uncanny accuracy. His masks brought joy to some and unease to others, as they seemed to reflect not just the wearer’s face, but the soul beneath. The villagers, steeped in superstition, began to fear Elias’s gift, whispering that his creations were unnatural and that he must have made a pact with the devil.
Their fears boiled over when tragedy struck the village. Crops failed, livestock vanished, and eerie whispers echoed in the woods at night. The villagers, desperate for answers, turned on Elias. They accused him of witchcraft, convinced his masks had cursed their land. Their fear turned to hatred, and hatred turned to violence.
The Night of Betrayal
One fateful night, a mob stormed Elias’s home. He was asleep with his wife, Lila, and their young daughter, Mara, unaware of the terror outside. The mob shattered windows and broke down the door, dragging Elias and his family into the village square. Mara clung to her father, sobbing, while Lila begged for mercy, but the villagers had none. They tied Elias to a stake, forcing him to watch as they turned their wrath on the ones he loved.
They accused Lila of being a witch as well, branding her a conspirator in Elias’s supposed crimes. Without hesitation, they bound her to another stake and set her ablaze. Lila’s screams pierced the night, her eyes locked on Elias until the fire consumed her. Mara was next. The mob, chanting that the child was “tainted by evil,” took her from Elias’s arms. She cried for her father, her small hands reaching for him as they silenced her screams forever.
Elias was forced to watch it all, helpless as the two people he loved most in the world were destroyed before his eyes. His screams of anguish echoed through the square, but the villagers showed no remorse. When they were finished, they turned to him.
The Curse
As they tied Elias to the pyre, he no longer begged for mercy. He stared into the crowd, his eyes hollow with despair and burning with hatred. When the flames were lit, he didn’t cry out in pain. Instead, his voice cut through the crackling fire with a curse:
“If you see my face again, it will be the last thing you see. I will show you the truth of what you’ve done, and it will destroy you.”
The villagers laughed at his words, believing they had silenced him forever. But they were wrong.
The Transformation
Elias’s death was not the end. His grief, rage, and despair anchored his soul to the physical realm. The curse he uttered became real, warping his body into a reflection of his torment. His flesh burned away, replaced by pale, cracked porcelain, a haunting mimicry of the masks he once created. His hollow eye sockets began to weep, stretching downward like streaks of melting wax, symbolizing the endless tears he could no longer shed. His mouth twisted into a grotesque smile, filled with jagged, monstrous teeth, mocking the humanity that had betrayed him.
The Hollow Man was born—a creature neither alive nor dead, haunting the woods around the village. He exists in the space between worlds, fading in and out of existence, his presence heralded by whispers and shadows. The remnants of Elias’s masks, scattered across the forest, became conduits of his curse, marking those who disturbed them.
The Curse’s Power
The Hollow Man does not simply kill his victims. He forces them to relive their deepest fears, their hidden guilt, and their darkest secrets. Those who see his face are consumed by madness, unable to escape the truths he reveals. When he finally takes them, he drags their souls into his spectral realm, leaving behind nothing but shattered porcelain and faint, echoing cries.
Those who desecrate the forest or disturb his masks are marked, doomed to be hunted by him. The more they deny their guilt, the stronger he grows, feeding on their fear until their minds break. And when they succumb, their faces join the fragments of his shattered masks, a grim reminder of his eternal torment.
The Eternal Grief
Deep within The Hollow Man, the ghost of Elias Crane still lingers, shackled by his eternal torment. He relives the night of his family’s death endlessly—his wife’s desperate cries, his daughter’s innocent pleas, the acrid smell of fire and ash. His rage burns as fiercely as his sorrow, but his form has been twisted beyond recognition. He is no longer a man, but a creature of pain and vengeance, his humanity lost to the curse he unleashed in his final moments.
Elias does not seek forgiveness. He does not desire peace. The memory of his wife and child being torn from him is a wound that cannot heal, a fire that will never burn out. He exists only to make the world feel a fraction of the agony he endures, to show those who wander into his domain the truth of their own darkness—and to strip away their sanity in the process.
There is no redemption for The Hollow Man. There is no hope. He is grief incarnate, a harbinger of despair, and a reminder of the horrors humanity can inflict upon itself. His curse will echo forever, carried on by the whispers of the woods, warning the living to stay away.
But the whispers are rarely heeded.
And so, The Hollow Man waits, lingering just beyond the veil of reality, his cracked porcelain face and monstrous smile promising one thing to those who dare enter his domain:
“You will see the truth—and it will destroy you.”
