I think I got a decent deal? I needed a fast, durable(hopefully all metal) laptop with a decent sized screen with good battery life(more than 10 hours). I'm an engineering student who still has the first Gen g14 which isn't quite up to the task anymore, the plastic bottom is cracking and the track pad just crapped out. I can fix it but at this point it's just too slow for what I'm doing. Was a good laptop while it lasted.
Anything I should look out for?/ Is there something comparable out there that I can swap this out for?

TLDR at the end.
So, I work as a cashier and goddamn people lose all decency when Black Friday comes around. This one customer, this fucking bitch had the AUDACITY to give the ol "if you don't like the job don't do it" line after what she fucking did.
What did she do? Okay, so, one item didn't come up what she thought it would. Okay, fine I'll check it for you. Except this absolute bitch of a woman decided to be UTTERLY pissy af at me before I even get a chance to check. Okay, know what, I can deal with that, but it gets worse so much fucking worse.
Every single fucking item. She complains about the price and makes me double check it. Every. Single. Fucking. One. And there was like, 30+ items. Then, at the end, she makes me void basically everything. So, I decide to just void the whole thing and only put on the stuff she actually wants and she got pissy about THAT! I finally get done with her order and I hear her muttering about me but at that point I do not give half a shit. I clean up the absolute mess she made (cause the items she made me void she just left sitting in the middle of the goddamn lane ffs) and after that am jus done for the day.
But it doesn't end there. Apparently management was already fed up with this SAME woman cause she was pissed that they wouldn't give her a $500 TV for $75. Like tf? Black Friday has good deals but not that good.
TLDR: Fuck self entitled assholes so much.

Hey there! My in home clients family prepared a plate for me (without my knowledge until it was ready) during mealtime today, and I tried to decline but they insisted to the point where it felt rude to refuse it, so I ate it (sidenote: it was absolutely delicious!) they are a different culture than me, and I believe part of their culture is feeding “guests” but technically I’m not considered a guest as I’m working when I’m there. I’m just kinda freaking out cuz like they gave me a whole meal and I know we’re not supposed to accept gifts or anything and I don’t want to get in trouble for eating it, but my clients mom insisted so much that I felt like it would be rude and hurt her feelings if I didn’t, and now I keep thinking about it and wondering if I broke the code of ethics 😭

2024.11.30 01:39 StayLexusLFA GTOmega just went out of stock till next May. What else is good?

Have been looking for a rig to significantly upgrade my setup, with a front wheelbase mount and functionality for 4-post motion in the future. The GTOmega PRIME seemed to be the best deal in the US, but as of today, they made it such that you have to preorder this week for it to ship by May 2025.
This is not an option for me and is a little upsetting. What other "160/40 base" or similar stiffness rigs are good buys in the US? Are there plans to make my own P1X clone from extrusion? Thanks.
