2024.11.30 03:37 xxmalinda New fan and I just saw Cavetown in concert!!!
Oh my gosh!! I’m sooo happy and so proud of myself!!
I recently got into Cavetown and I absolutely FELL in love. I had heard a few of his songs before but never really looked into him as a band, but now i’m HOOKED! I kept seeing he was going to be performing on 30 mins from me and although the show was him opening for Pierce The Veil i felt like it was my opportunity to see him NOW because his next tour dates are in Europe and there’s no way i’d be able to go to those. But WOW!!! It was amazing!!! I went by myself and I was nervous about it but it went fine!!!
At the end of his set he walked off and stood by the side of the stage and i somehow had the adrenaline and confidence to close to the stands where he was and wave down at him and i said “I came to this show just for you!” like a weirdo but I don’t think he could really hear me but he waved and smiled at me! I wish I had stayed longer and maybe gotten a video of it but I’m also kinda glad I didn’t do that 😅
Anyways I had the best time and I really hope to go to one of his own shows some day!!?

I’ve been experimenting with taking family portraits at golden hour. I’m relatively new to photography and also the r6 mkii is a recent purchase.
I’ve spent hours researching on Reddit threads, the manual, and watching some YouTubers to learn about their settings for family portraits (usually there are rambunctious toddlers), and I still don’t know if ive cracked the best settings for sharp images.
Currently, I’m using Whole area AF, AF Servo, and touch and drag. I also set the * button to eye tracking.
What I’ve found is that touch and drag is a little nerve wracking to use so I’ve been resorting to stopping down to something like 2.8 (using RF 35mm 1.8) just to get a few reliable shots of everyone in focus. I’m also shooting high speed continuous and mechanical shutter.
I’m probably oversharing all these settings, and wouldn’t be surprised if I’m doing things wrong, but any and all advice/criticisms/questions are greatly appreciated to help me get more sharp shots (specifically with all eyes in focus).

I’ve never much looked into stoicism so I could also be using the “new to stoicism” flair, but I am interested in it. Any help on the subject is greatly appreciated. I am 18M and over think every single thing in my life to an insane degree. It consumes my life. I think it may be due to how my parents never really raised me to be open with my feelings and it’s just something that was never talked about so I never learned how to deal with them? I’m not 100% sure though. Even though the overthinking affects every part of my life, the worst of it is in my relationship.
I’ve been dating my girlfriend (16F) for over a year now and she is absolutely incredible. I love her so incredibly much and she makes my life so much better. I know everyone says this, but I truly believe that we could grow old together because of how great we are together. This is what I think of her. But when I’m alone, my mind overthinks my relationship insanely bad. Like for example “high school relationships don’t last. We’re gonna break up eventually. It’s stupid to think otherwise” or “I forgot to text her back (normally it’s been at most an hour). This shows I’m losing feelings for her” or “I’m tired right now and want to go home. This shows I don’t like being with her anymore” etc. I know I don’t believe these things and even typing them out right now, they sound stupid as hell. But even still, the thoughts never stop occurring to me. The whole reason k decided to type this out is because I just saw a post on AmIOverReacting and an 18M and 16F and he broke up with her because they were incompatible. And even though it shouldn’t, the post got to me because it scares me and I don’t want that to happen to us.
I’m sorry if this doesn’t make much sense. You can comment and I’ll try my best to explain more if you need me to. I’ve never been the best at explaining my feelings as it’s like the moment I start talking about them or writing about them, I can never find the right words. Again, possibly due to how I was raised. I think stoicism could really help with not worrying about everything constantly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Im at a friends house tonight and we did the Girl Guides program when we were younger.
We have discovered. Our leader wasnt great. She was very organized. Great music. But some of what we learned was questionable.
We made First Aid kits together. We put two mini chocolate bars into the kit.
She told us. In case someone has hypothermia. You need to keep chocolate on hand?
Is that anywhere near correct?
Was that a cutesy girl thing? Oh were so cold! Haha! I have chocolate bars just for this occasion?
I did outdoor adventure training in a different program and we learned a whole other thing for hypothermia treatment.

My vote for the 5 remaining is now Cloak and Dagger, Blade, Black Widow (from pictures floating around detailing teamups such as Cloak and Dagger empowering Blade/Moon Knight and Hawkeye empowering Black Widow), Wolverine as last (devs said last revealed character has a teamup with Hulk which is probably fastball special) and since we're all thinking FF will come out as a set later down the road that leaves Ultron, Squirrel Girl and Iron Fist. IF looks like he will be later down the line as it was stated a while back his development started early this year. I have seen a picture floating around online somewhere that Hawkeye was engaging Ultron in battle so here:

Squirrel Girl, Iron Fist and the FF to be launched down the road. As a kicker I think tomorrow we will see a Launch Trailer that will showcase our missing 5 followed by daily videos of their abilities/which skin they'll be coming with.

Kept it simple again. Thicker ribeye. Blackstone. S+P and light garlic rub seasoning. Its cold here tonight, around 38, did 10.5 min total on my blackstone, all high heat, 3 min, flip, 4 min under my basting hood, flip, 3 more min, rested for about 7 min. Let me know what you think!!!

Hello, looking for criticisms on an idea for a specialist weapon in my army. I have tried researching various unique weapons used throughout history. This army specializes in siege warfare. They can't use magic, but use various sigils and runes to control machinery. Mechanized infantry, heavy weapons squads, light to super heavy tanks, artillery, mech suits and automata are all the things these guys use. So for the specialist weaponry, instead of making WMDs like bio-weapons, I decided on sonic weaponry simply for the cool factor. Loud sound can cause burst eardrums and disorientation. Low intensity sounds go through the body, but super loud low intensity sounds can damage sensitive organs. And super loud sound can damage just about everything in your body. Also the weapon can be tuned down and adjusted if you want things like sonar or echolocation.
TLDR: Should I incorporate sonic weapons in a mechanized fantasy army because I thought it's cool? And what are the criticisms that come with it?

I have a 2011 Subaru outback 2.5i premium and I accelerated and my coolant exploded and my temperature light started blinking red and blue out I have since replaced the thermometer,temperature sensor, and radiator and the light is still flashing I have checked and confirmed it is not a head gasket issue so I’m very stumped
