I'm trying to compare my PC to the new m4 Macbooks (thinking of making the switch) and I'm looking at Puget Bench results.
But there are wildly different scores on seemingly the same hardware? take a look

How is this possible? I know that certain settings and maybe having apps open can effect scores a bit, but by this much?

If a laptop can get me ~90% of performance of my desktop in Premiere I'll take it, but if it's only 33% then there's no way.

2024.11.30 04:29 Badestrand Can't type non-English on external keyboard
Hi
We have a HONOR Android tablet and an external keyboard and can't type in another language.
In System -> Language&Input -> Language and region we put English and Thai.
In System -> Language&Input -> Gboard -> Languages we put English and Thai.
The virtual keyboard we can toggle between English and Thai.
Pressing Fn+Space on the physical keyboard we can switch the language as well, it shows so in a little popup and the on-screen keyboard shows Thai letters.
But, anything we type on the external keyboard always just writes english letters instead of the Thai letters. I tried typing in a browser, a notes application and a chat application.
After hours of trying and Googling I am at a loss.
Anyone has any experience or tips?

2024.11.30 04:29 Jen-Jens Is anyone else disappointed by the change?
I’m not even exaggerating when I say My Little Universe used to be my favourite little mobile game. I could deal with the ads when going into/out of mines or dropping new tiles or even upgrading tools and refining materials. But now there’s literally an ad every 5 minutes no matter what I do. I can’t just sit and gather resources without having to close an ad after literally every 5 minutes. This one change has made the game pretty much unplayable for me. Idk if anyone else feels this way but I just completely lost my enthusiasm for the game. I will choose to watch ads when I want the resources, and I don’t even mind the ones stated above, but this just feels like they’ve gone too far.

This evening I had a feeling I haven’t felt before being sober, I was walking through the house to go do something and it occurred to me that I feel refreshed this evening, zero desire to drink and don’t feel the need to have more than 2 nonalcoholic beers or mocktails in the evening. I actually chose to drink water after I finished my second one….. all these mini milestones are a relief that I am rewiring my thought patterns and old habits in a positive way. Other than one small weirdness with an inlaw and being super tired from prepping everything, I had a pretty great and uneventful thanksgiving and I am thankful for that! For those just starting or not far into the process, trust the process, and hang in there, it gets better.

I hate to say this about this game because I do love this game. It looks incredible, it has awesome scale, awesome creatures and is overall a great game. But holy hell it has some of the most unresponsive and clunky controls I've ever had the honor of playing.
The amount of times I've tried to jump backwards off of something and instead of jumping backwards, I jump up and hit my head is ridiculous. Sometimes I'll jump and try to move back, or do a quick jump maneuver but instead my character just jumps straight up and gets annihilated by whatever I'm trying to dodge. Not to mention the fact that he jumps like he's on the moon and takes like 3 seconds to actually land back on the ground. There's so many times where I'm trying to climb a colossus and he gets caught on literally nothing and just sits there and jitters instead of just climbing over it.
And the horse ai in this game is absolutely atrocious sometimes but I don't wanna get into that rn lol. Sorry but I needed to vent because I was about to go insane playing this game

Not sure if this falls under this flair or not as it just me personalizing my 2024 ecoboost to my personality. Long story short…2014 I got my first Mustang used. A 2012 modified to look like a GT but was just premium package v6. So I didn’t get to personalize her to me other than add a charmander window decal to the little rear seat window driver’s side and another decal to her trunk. June 2023 that Mustang said fuck this I am sorry but I need to retire.
So as a surprise 20th wedding anniversary gift to me my husband put in an order for a 2024 baseline ecoboost. It arrived from the factory October 2023, the day after my wedding anniversary and the day my father passed unexpectedly. Four days later I was sent to work in my husband’s Ford Escape only to return to find Sapphire, the 2024, in my parking spot with a stuffed white dragon my daughter picked out for me staring at me through the front windshield from her spot on my dash. A total blank slate that took 4 months and an anime convention with my daughter to finally decide how I wanted her to look.
Currently have the following personalizations on her:
- Holo graphic Charmander decal driver side rear passenger window. This decal is from the anime convention I drove her too and what started it all.
- Zoro’s Jolly Roger trunk
- Dragon decal trunk
- Dragon necklace hanging from rear view mirror
- Purple tire valve caps
- Purple sun shade to protect my black dash and cool car a little more from Florida sun.
- Eye scar decal over freshly repaired headlight, bent hood and front of side panel passenger side. Running joke between daughter and me that Sapphire got into a fight protecting white stuffed dragon navigator from another bigger dragon.
Will post pictures after it’s all done as the ladies in my FB group for Mustangs want to see it all completed. Only thing not in original idea was the alligator charm I glued to my dash in front of the center screen in honor of my father who wanted to see my 2024 the moment it was on my possession but couldn’t. I made sure to drive her to his funeral because he always loved sport/muscle cars.

Hey guys, I'm in need of some advice. I've read a ton on here and read a ton of different options. I have a yellow jacket nest(yes, confirmed yellow jackets) on a tree branch right next to my driveway. I'm in central CA and have some delta dust and a bulb duster. But the reach is only like 8 inches. I don't want to get that close as I have no real protective clothing. I'd like to see these bastards gone within the next few days. Can I buy an extension rod for the duster and use it that way? I've also read that soapy water will do the trick but have not tried that yet and want total reaults(if possible). Thanks.
