bought a vodka redbull from the bars right when you walk in towards the back of the crowd for $22 (not including tip), bf bought a DOUBLE vodka redbull from one of the bars on the corner of the middle floor for $19 (not including tip). tested it out again at the cheaper bar to see if it was just luck but nope $19 again. just a heads up if you wanna save some money go to the side bars ig? :)

You know, I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Throughout history, art doesn’t seem to come from destruction or burning down what came before—it comes from building on it. Like, the Renaissance didn’t happen because people destroyed medieval art. It happened because they rediscovered and built on the ideas of ancient Greece and Rome. Even after wars or revolutions, the art that came after wasn’t because of the destruction itself, but because people rebuilt and created something meaningful out of it.
That’s what makes me concerned about where we are today with art, fandoms, and the culture around creativity. I’m not trying to throw shade at anyone here, but it feels like a lot of what we see now isn’t coming from the same place of passion or curiosity that it used to. Don’t get me wrong, people might really love their medium—whether it’s gaming, animation, or comics,etc—but a lot of what gets made feels like it’s driven by the need to trigger someone, push an agenda, or just get a reaction. It’s like we’re forgetting what makes art timeless and meaningful.
So, I’m wondering: what if we changed that? What if we focused less on proving others wrong or making a statement, and instead just created art for the sake of it? Not to “own” anyone or to fight some culture war, but to build something that lasts—something people can connect with on a deeper level. If we want better art, better communities, and a brighter future for creativity, doesn’t it start with us? What would it take to create an environment where people actually want to create—not out of reaction, but out of genuine passion?
I do have my personal opinion and ideas about this but I’d love to hear what y'all think.

So I work a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday schedule, and I started 3 weeks ago. I was told you dont get paid until the 2nd week and it takes 3-5 business days for your paycheck. I dont mind waiting, but its been a week since and I still havent gotten paid. Is this common? Should I just continue to wait?

Imagine you just got in bed. Are trying to sleep so you can study in the AM and move some stuff out to get to your new home, and your roommate and his little follower wake you up banging on your door shouting expletives. I already don’t feel safe in this house and have felt numerous times that my privacy and multiple lines have been crossed multiple times in the year I’ve been living here along with multiple bouts of drama that have affected not only my life but the lives of others with their behavior, I.e cheating on spouses, vague threats on other peoples lives, racking a shotgun at our neighbors, getting a local pregnant and making it the tenants problem somehow. Genuinely some of yall are the greatest guys I’ve ever met and I’ve had the best experience of my life in the army but holy fuck. Some of you really got me thankful I’ve started carrying for my own safety.
Can I please get a venti black coffee and a large water. I gotta sober up

I respect her idealogies and she does the same. We been talking for sometime (almost an year) and it gotten closer to a point it can happen. And it'll be a perfect thing if it does happen. Only thing's stopping are the parents. As in, what's the point of dating if her parents aren't gonna approve us in the end.
Non of us got the idea to convert. I really want to make this work. We working our jobs going up the hierarchy in our careers and doing our degrees. We ain't falling off track in our lives. It's just her parents being very conservative. We 22 23 aged and I believe it the right time we met. But I just can't figure out a way around this.

I don't really know how to word this all besides just giving a quick family history regarding my mom and dad (Other people aren't too important in telling this). My mom came from an abusive relationship but always ready to be there for others. My dad came from a rough neighborhood and always provided for us. My dad had an affair when I was quite young but the woman got an abortion. I'd say that I matured quite fast because of my mannerisms and looks. I've never particularly considered my dad to be "out" of my life. I just know that he's working for the things I have and am appreciative of that, but it's not usually anything more. Late into COVID, he started to "work overtime", coming home later than usual. I picked up on this behavior being kind of suspicious, but I kept it to myself because "What do I know about work? I'm just a kid." It turns out that he lied to us for a year straight and the entire time that he was working overtime, he had another affair. This time, they didn't get an abortion. And to make things easier on himself (He's helping pay for a lot of his family's expenses at this point), the mom, her older son, and the affair baby start living with us. I didn't hold any resentment towards them and instead thought of them as like walking symbols of his affair. Suddenly, the once quiet house was filled with baby screams, baby talking, and a shit ton of cocomelon/paw patrol. The constant noises kind of just get to you over time as a quiet natured person (I also hate babies largely for this reason). The conflict started to happen around a month ago between my mom and dad because my mom got a job offer from Tesla. She didn't accept because it would be an immediate pay drop and she genuinely enjoys her current job. I don't exactly know why he didn't like this decision but in the end, he told my mom that she's not showing the same effort and ambitions that he is. She's going to stay at my brother's apartment until she can get a house/2 or 3 bedroom apartment for us and she invited me to stay with her. My dad then threatened to involve lawyers to get me back (I hate that) if my grades dropped or something like that. Now, we get to today's events when he had nearly an hour long talk with me as I had lunch. I was fully expecting to consider his words to be fake because of his past actions and move on, but then he began to cry around halfway through. He also went to my room and told me goodnight which he hardly ever does. His actions recently have just been so different from what his usual stone cold self and I don't know how to feel about it. I doubt I'd be able to mend my relationship with him due to his 2 affairs and overall treatment. The only real thing I know is that I'm not calling him dad at all (I've only been doing it on here for privacy and simplicity). How do I figure out my emotions about this? TL;DR: Dad makes an unexpectedly honest apology and I feel skeptical
