I hope this is allowed for Saturday but out of everyone in the cats and crew what is your favorite thing about them? It can also be anyone that has played a supporting character as well! I’ll go first:
1.) Jacob Anderson: my favorite thing about him is that he’s always such a positive person and very funny as well. I also love how he’s very committed to the role of Louis just like how Sam is committed to the role of Lestat and they have a good bond with one another.
2.) Sam Reid: I love how he is so passionate about Lestat and how he is able to morph himself to the character on screen. Not only does he have a good friendship with Jacob Anderson, but he also has such a great sense of humor as well since it was shown in the bloopers for the show.
3.) Rolin Jones: ever since he was seen carrying the Vampire Lestat at this years SDCC, I just love and admire his passion for the show and how close he is with the cast and you can tell how he puts so much thought into the series as well.
4.) Assad Zaman: I really could listen to him talk for hours on end about anything because he seems so invested in his work and just like with Jacob, Eric, and Sam he also has a great sense of humor too.
5.) Eric Bogosian: I love his dry sense of humor and how he’s a renaissance man because I was shocked to find out that he is also a playwright and an experienced actor as well! I even admire his friendship with Assad Zaman and how excited he was to transform into a vampire as Daniel Molloy.
6.) KP Phagnasay: not only do I appreciate him for updating us during the strikes last summer but I also love his bts videos that he’s posted on his YouTube because everyone seemed to have a good time on set as they were goofing around. I also admire his passion for his work and craft because I think it’s pretty neat.
7.) Ben Daniels: to be honest, the one thing that I love about him is that he’s able to morph himself into any character that he plays because it’s living proof that his range is immaculate and off the charts! I hope that after loosing his husband this year, he’s taking as long as he needs to decompress because he will be welcomed back with open arms.
8.) Delainey Hayles: I love how despite being announced as a replacement for Bailey bass, she studied Claudia carefully and delivered such a heartbreaking performance as her because she was so breathtaking especially during the trial scene with her and Madeleine.
9.) Bailey bass: I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors but I loved watching her vlogs that featured her interacting with not only Jacob and Sam, but the rest of the TV crew on set despite filming during the pandemic. I can really tell that Bailey is a person who not only cares about the environment but also her craft as an actor and I’m so excited for what the future holds in store for her.
10.) Roxane Duran: where do I begin? Despite only being in a few episodes of the show, she really surprised me as Madeleine because I had no idea on who she was before the show but after seeing the debut on my screen, she really impressed me since they gave the character of Madeleine more depth and I will forever stand by it. Her and Delainey are just amazing in many, many ways and she had such wonderful chemistry with her.

A while back, I tried to book an international roundtrip trans-pacific United Airlines flight. I found tickets on a third-party website that looked a little bit too good to be true pricing-wise, when compared to the common aggregators like Google Flights, Expedia, Booking.com, etc. It was $600 vs. $1000.
About half an hour committing to the purchase committing to the purchase, I get a call from the travel agency explaining to me the terms of the ticket - that it was basic economy, not refundable, can't choose seats, etc. the usual spiel with cheap airline tickets. All sounded good until they mentioned as part of the terms that I'm not allowed to bring anything besides a phone and anything that will fit in my pockets. I'm not allowed to take a carry-on or check-in baggage, nor am I even allowed to pay extra for it. I've done a fair bit of international travel over the past decade, and I've never ever heard of such a policy, especially for an international flight - like how can they expect you to carry basically nothing on a long-haul international flight?! After hearing those terms, I wanted to back out and say I didn't want the tickets anymore, but they said that the booking is already confirmed and that it was not refundable.
I refused to accept those terms, so they gave me two options: take the tickets as is, or upgrade to regular economy which would include baggage. I asked how much it would cost for the upgrade, and they mentioned it would be $400. $400 sounded reasonable since that matches the costs that I see on United's website itself. I agree and they send me an email to reply to confirm the upgrade. In the email, it mentions that the new price is $1400. I'm still on the phone with them, so I asked about why it's listed as $1400, and they say that's the additional charge for both ways. They did not mention that and I stated as such, but they insisted that they mentioned the $400 cost was for each way (they did not, they never mentioned it). They also tried to reason that the prices are the way they are because it's the holidays and blah blah blah.
At this point, I've already realized what this kind of call was and that I'm being taken for a ride. I declined their upgrade "offer" and again tried to back out of the purchase, but they keep pushing back saying the tickets are not refundable. After refusing to give my verbal consent (which sounds like that was that they needed/wanted), they offered to find another flight for me with more reasonable prices/terms. I refused and told them I'd take it up with the credit card company and hung up on them. Over the next two days, they continued to call my phone repeatedly and send me emails that "if you don't respond, you may lose my booking". I also noticed a new charge on my credit card where the merchant is listed as United.
In the end, I ended up booking directly with United, but when I did, I got an email from United stating about being double booked and that I should contact them to resolve this or one of the bookings will be canceled. Strange, considering I've never received a booking confirmation for the first booking. So I contacted their customer support about it, explained the situation, and the customer support located both my bookings and sent both confirmations to my email. I asked the representative to cancel the first booking, asked if it can be refunded, but the representative said that it was not refundable and offered a credit instead, which I am content with. Just for my own knowledge, I also tried to confirm with the representative about the terms of the first booking about the baggage policy, and even they said that baggage is included and that I can add more for a fee.
Some extra info I couldn't fit into the story above:

Did I just get scammed? Or at the very least, fell into some kind of deceptive scheme to coerce me into upgrading my flight at some obscene cost?

Okay so I’ve been using actives on my skin now for quite some time. Salicylic acid, lactic acids and vitamin c serum. But I’ve noticed recently whenever I apply the InnisFree vitamin c serum from Sephora my face begins to get red and hot. That never used to happen with this vitamin c serum, I really liked it up until recently and I never had issues with it before. I also never really ever used actives until a few months back and I was loving the skincare until the vitamin c serum stopped working for me. I used a new bottle too of the vitamin c serum so I know it wasn’t the bottle expiring or anything like that. I apply the serum after washing my face and toning with the Peach Slices Salicylic Acid wash/toner and I assume that I’m over exfoliating but I never had this issue before. I also was giving my skin a break from the serum but I’m just confused as to why now all of a sudden I’m having this issue.
I like these actives because they make my skin feel more smooth and look more bright and glowy, but I obviously can’t continue to use them if it’s irritating my skin. What should I do? I’m also fair skinned with rosacea and sensitive skin. My skin breaks out from products very easily so I was really happy when I finally found these products that worked for me up until now.
