Hey y'all! I'm new around here but have done some looking around, and yes I know many people have asked this question many times... But I'd LOVE to make an animatronic just for the heck of it. Plus I've got a local day pass arcade with a stage just Begging to have an animatronic on it. They've even got an original(?) Showbiz sign and some CEC posters! (Can't find any photos on my phone so taking what I can from the site... Probably take some tomorrow if I go.) Shout out electric starship arcade!! Anyways, I know I'd want to build something similar to the old chuck e cheese animatronic, with a moving head arms,(I was thinking double action pneumatic cylinders for the up and down "flapping" motion, and service for the forward and backwards motion, as well as the forearms, and some for fingers if I have the budget) and I have access to a 3d printer so I'd like to try the Do It Wrong Yourself eyes if there's ever a link (or if I can find it.). Also if there are more efficient eyes, using less servos, please let me know!! Looking at the old endoskeleton I think there's 5 actuators/cylinders 2 for arm movement and one for torso movement, but since I plan on using servos if I can for most of the arm movement, so I hopefully only need 3. For the eyes, DIWY's use 8 servos (yikes) and I'll need 2 for the arms, and 1 for the jaw, and 1 for waist rotation if I can, if not it'll go to the neck, so that's 12, possibly 13, in total if I can do both, But I do have a broken ender 3 pro with 3 stepper motors that I'd like to be able to repurpose for this project! the 2 arms preferably having a higher weight limit, and I think I'll need solenoid valves so 3 of those if I'm not mistaken, and the tubes of course (not buying a compressor because I have one). Also (I know this probably is a horrible idea, and probably an animatronic sin) I'm thinking of using a wooden frame FOR NOW, I will try to support it with some aluminum braces where I can.
TLDR, I wanna build an animatronic based off the old chuck e cheese animatronic with the moving arms, I'll need 13 servos, if i can, I'd like to repurpose, 3 pneumatic cylinders and solenoid valves, wood, aluminum braces, and a PC which I can use my old one. Where should I start? I can try doing a sketch but it won't look good and probably not much different from the original, minus the servos, (is it even possible to mix servos and pneumatics?) I've calculated pneumatics and servos, which'll be about $45-$50 on Amazon, and $75 for the pneumatics and solenoids (yikes... My budget is NOT enough) and I can probably steal some wood from somewhere. Also I have NO idea what I want it/him/her to look like.. Soo... What would y'all like to see?? No guarantees though this is just a pipe dream. I don't even have a job but would like to work at the fore mentioned arcade. Sorry for the long post but I want to be as detailed as possible! Mensen verklaren je vaak voor gek als je over euthanasie voor ouderen begint, maar laten we eens alle scenario's doornemen. Dan zie je dat euthanasie een steeds realistischer optie wordt. Niet omdat ik dat wil, maar door de vergrijzing en onze bevolkingspiramide, die door materialisme op een omgekeerde driehoek is gaan lijken. We hebben straks miljoenen ouderen boven de zestig die niet meer bijdragen, niet meer werken, en te weinig mensen om hen te verzorgen. En ja, ouderen zeggen vaak: "We hebben toch veertig jaar gewerkt voor ons pensioen."
Ja, maar dat is geld. Waar zijn de mensen? Je kunt nog zoveel geld hebben, maar als er geen mensen zijn om te werken in verzorgingstehuizen of thuiszorg, gebeurt er niets. En wie verbouwt het eten, werkt in de supermarkten, of verzorgt andere diensten als ouderen naar het theater willen of reizen?
Vaak zoeken we oplossingen in migratie, maar dat brengt eigen problemen met zich mee. Veel nieuwkomers spreken geen Nederlands, waardoor ze moeilijk aan de slag kunnen in zorginstellingen. Bovendien belandt een groot deel van de migranten direct in de uitkering, waardoor ze een financiële last voor de samenleving worden. En zelfs de migranten die wel werken, verlaten Nederland vaak na enkele jaren weer, omdat ze voor kortere perioden komen en meestal terugkeren naar hun land van herkomst.
Een andere oplossing is dat kinderen hun ouders in huis nemen, zoals vroeger. Maar tegenwoordig is dat financieel en praktisch bijna onmogelijk.
Dus wat blijft er over? Als migratie niet werkt en kinderen niet voor hun ouders kunnen zorgen, blijven er weinig opties. Robots? Dat is niet realistisch. Uiteindelijk kom je uit bij euthanasie. Als er straks 4 à 5 miljoen mensen boven de 65 zijn, wordt de vraag gesteld: "Wilt u euthanasie?"
Kijk maar naar Canada. Daar worden ouderen bij ernstige ziekten zoals kanker al gevraagd of ze euthanasie willen. Commerciële partijen verdienen er zelfs aan en benaderen daklozen op straat met dezelfde vraag. Dit klinkt extreem, maar het is de realiteit. Dus voordat je mij voor gek verklaart, bedenk zelf eens een oplossing. Migranten lossen het niet op, en autochtonen kunnen het niet alleen. Dit klinkt misschien extreem, maar het laat wel zien hoe lastig de situatie is. Dus, wat zou jouw oplossing zijn?

Mga January 2018 nang gabi pumunta ako sa bahay ng lola ko, pagdating ko sa bahay ni Lola, ramdam ko agad ang bigat ng paligid. Luma na talaga yung bahay yung tipong bawat hakbang ko sa sahig, parang may bumubulong sa ilalim. Pero masaya pa rin ako kasi matagal na rin akong hindi nakakapunta.
Napansin ko agad na laging nakasara yung kwarto ni Lola. Kahit noong bata pa ako, parang hindi ko siya nakikitang binubuksan. Kaya nung tinanong ko siya, “La, bakit laging sarado ‘tong kwarto mo?” Bigla siyang tumigil sa ginagawa niya. Tumingin siya sa akin, seryoso ang mukha. “Huwag mong papasukin ‘yan, kahit kailan,” sabi niya.
Ang tono niya, parang wala nang usapan. Kaya tumango na lang ako, pero sa totoo lang, sobrang curious ako. Bakit kaya?
Kinagabihan, hindi ako makatulog. Tahimik sa buong bahay, pero parang ang ingay sa isip ko. Nandun lang ako, nakahiga, tapos biglang narinig ko yung kaluskos. Mahina lang, pero nanggagaling sa kwarto ni Lola. “Baka hangin lang,” sabi ko sa sarili ko. Pero maya-maya, may tunog na “tok, tok, tok.” Hindi ko na kinaya. Kailangan kong silipin.
Lumabas ako ng kwarto at naglakad papunta sa pinto. Ang bigat ng mga hakbang ko. Habang papalapit ako, parang bumibigat din ang hangin. Tumayo ako sa harap ng pinto, hawak ang doorknob, nanginginig. Hindi ko alam kung anong ini-expect ko.
Pagbukas ko, malamig na hangin ang sumalubong sa akin. Parang may dumaan na hindi mo nakikita. Ang una kong napansin, yung lumang rocking chair sa gitna ng kwarto. Gumagalaw siya mag-isa, dahan-dahan. Tapos sa gilid, may salaming malaki at punong-puno ng alikabok.
Nilapitan ko yung salamin kahit pakiramdam ko gusto kong umatras. Pero nung tumingin ako, hindi ako yung nasa repleksyon. Babae ang nakita ko. Matanda, mahaba ang buhok, naka itim, nakatalikod.
Halos huminto yung puso ko nung bigla siyang humarap. Wala siyang mukha. Walang mata. Walang ilong. Walang bibig. Pero kahit ganun, parang ramdam kong nakatitig siya sa akin.
Bigla siyang tumayo sa salamin. Tapos nagsimulang lumapit. Hindi siya naglalakad parang lumulutang siya, deretso sa akin. “Tulungan mo ako…” basag na basag yung boses niya, pero parang diretso sa ulo ko. Hindi ako makagalaw. Hindi ako makahinga. Parang lahat ng lamig sa kwarto, dumiretso sa katawan ko.

Hanggang ngayon, iniisip ko pa rin kung totoo ba lahat ng nangyari. Pero sabi ng mga kapitbahay, gabi-gabi nilang naririnig yung “tok, tok, tok” mula sa loob ng silid ni Lola.

It's been 20 yrs into this pusiness we started from a std.pco and now we have a established a pretty good brand name. ...as to give a roughly idea everyone we established 11 bheega land(mainly on highways) without any loan We have reach over 40 villages around you can say nd each and evryone knows us. So i'm thinking of using this brand name and build something in parallel to it as time is changing now so stamp paper agreements and xerox will not sustain in future as at each end of the gali there is a xerox shop so obv profit gonaa be low. ....any suggestions!!

I see that you get unlimited express bands after the 8 hour your but it looks like the 5 hour is evening only (at least the one I’m seeing). If i were to do the 5 hour, do we get express passes beforehand if we check in?
Alternatively, if there is a 5 hour in the morning would i get unlimited express passes for the afternoon?

How to give a cat medication?
We have just adopted a second cat, her name is Milly and she’s about 3.5 years old. We have only had her for a week and a day. She’s gotten extremely sick in the short time we’ve had her. The vet prescribed 7 different medications, some are eyedrops, eye ointment, nose drops, and multiple hard pills. We have one cat who is 5 years old who has never gotten sick so we have no experience with any of this. Since she’s not familiar with us, she runs and hides. It’s very hard to get her out and we really don’t want to stress her out anymore. It takes about 20 minutes of my partner and I moving the bed around the room to be able to get into a position to grab her. When we do get her, we have to hold her down for 30/45 minutes and it’s multiple rounds of ointment and syringes. We have to wait 10 minutes in between each ointment so this is why it takes so long. We’re really out of our depth here and it’s cost us over $1,000 in bills in the short time we’ve had her. We also really don’t want her to hate us. We saw signs of her getting comfortable before we took her to the vet but ever since then, the trust has completely vanished and now she is extremely fearful of us. My partner will also not be able to help me for much longer as they are returning to work, I would have to do this process alone moving forward for the next two weeks.
Is it okay to be grabbing her and forcing this on her? The organization we adopted her from has offered to take her back as. Is this better for her? To be helped by people who are more experienced with this? We really just want to do what’s best for her. While the cost is tough, it’s not about the money, we purchased insurance for her when we adopted her so a portion of the amount spent will be reimbursed.
My other cat is also acting up now because of all the time we have to spend taking care of Milly. They have been kept in separate rooms ever since we brought Milly home. Our other cat has not liked this change from the start and has hissed at Milly through the door several times (Milly seemed unaffected and curious to see our other cat). I’m just very lost and this has been a stressful week for all of us involved. Any help from anyone familiar with something like this would be greatly appreciated. Also willing to answer any questions you guys have, I’m just not sure how much I’m allowed to share

I've noticed that many of the better reps use clone movements. A small number use Miyota or ETA movement.
I was recently intrigued by the design of a discontinued watch (Milgauss) but I saw that the best rep by VSF uses a 3131, which I honestly cannot find much info about. This made me concern if something happened and I needed to get it serviced by someone
I noticed that some of my earlier purchased reps use Miyota 9015, which I can find a lot of info and gain reassurance about.
What are your thoughts about this? Curious on whether people here choose their reps based on movement and what is your thought process behind it? Any and all inputs are welcome, I also accept the downvoted if this is not a welcome topic to discuss
