TLDR;
Applied for a driving license at Krishnarajapura RTO (KA-53). First attempt in November failed due to an impossible test setup in an underground parking lot. On my second attempt in December, I realized the proper open-ground tests were reserved for driving school applicants. Gave in to the system, paid a ₹1,500 bribe via a printing shop contact, and was allowed to give the test as a formality in the open ground. Finally got my license in January. Frustrating experience with inefficiency and bribery.
Story:
Last year, around October, I applied for my driving license and eventually the day came where I had to give driving test as last step. The RTO was "Regional Transport Office, Krishnarajapura, KA-53"
Before applying for learner license, I tried reading (Quora and Maps) reviews of the RTO and there was no mention of any kind of bribery, so went ahead of applied. But I had read that DL test happen in an open ground, bit far from the RTO.
On my first try for DL test (November), Along with one of my roommate, who also had applied for license, we went to RTO, got our bio-metrics done. And we have to proceed to submit our payment details, this is present in 1st floor. There that guy mentioned, we need few more documents to be printed, (these documents were not required, but still we compliment), he directed us to printing shop behind the RTO.
We went over to printing shop, got the document printed, but while giving us document back, they wrapped the those print out in a brown folder.
We came to RTO, to same guy before from 1st floor, he mentioned all document to be in place and directed as to ground floor again where we had to do entry of our name and vehicle number, we did. And we were asked to get our bikes to underground parking lot. We asked him, why underground parking lot, we have read there is another ground where the test happens, he mentioned, it is for morning slots only, for afternoon, the tests happen in underground parking.
We took our bike and went to the underground parking where test was happening. As soon as I saw the circuit, I am doomed. Let me describe it for you, 4 cones where placed with gap of 1 meter, there are bikes been parked on either side and at the end of 4th cone there very little space left to do a 180 degree turn. The test was meant to be failed. I could see, no one was able complete the circuit. And then my turn came, and fate would have it, my bike stalled, me who have been driving that bike for past 3 year, stalled. I could not complete the 180 degree turn without having to back my bike. Felt complete noob. Similar thing happened with my roommate, at least. his bike did not stall, but he could not complete the 180 degree turn, he also had to back up his bike and complete it. Evidently we failed the test.
Comes my second try for DL test (December), my roommate gave up and gets his DL done from native place. I still have my hopes up. But this time, my allotted time was in afternoon, I go in early to open ground where test was happing along with my brown folder. One of the RTO officer saw my brown folder, and said for the online booking, this is not the place for test, for me the test will happen in RTO parking lot. So I told him the test over there is not passable, so he laughed and said yes yes and told me to go away, as the test in the ground are for people who come from driving schools.
So I come back to RTO, same process, bio metrics, 1st floor, and note down vehicle number. There is where I meet a guy, who also mentioned that parking lot test is not passable. I agreed. He suggested to catch hold of someone from print shop, as they might have connection. We both went to shop, asked if its possible for a bribe. He asked for 2k, then settled for 1.5k for both. He told us to get our bikes to that open ground and there we will be meet a guy. Before leaving, he took our brown folder, and gave another folder with this color: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/content/images/2021/10/golang.png (I am not sure which color is this, maybe sky blue??), with few document in it. We took our bike, meet the guy, gave our test as a formality, which was not required as per the guy we meet. The guy mentioned, we will get our license in a month.
And its been a month (January), just got my license.

Bom, estou morando com o meu namorado há 2 anos e algumas situações têm me incomodado bastante a ponto de estar sempre pensando em terminar com ele, porém com medo de tomar essa decisão e me arrepender depois, talvez por medo de não me acostumar mais a ficar sozinha. Na verdade, desde que eu conheci meu namorado percebi que ele não é uma pessoa mt fácil de lidar em determinados momentos. Quando ele se estressa (e ele costuma se estressar com coisas pequenas da convivência) ele sempre me chama de fdp, de louca e de burra, sem hesitar. Várias vezes ele tb me chama desses nomes em público, principalmente de louca e insuportável, não gritando, mas falando alto o suficiente pra quem quiser escutar. Já conversamos várias vezes sobre isso pq já dei um ultimato (mais de 10x com ctza) falando que iria terminar com ele se ele não melhorasse nesses momentos de estresse, mas ainda é algo que acontece com mt frequência… Eu sou super tranquila com ele, normalmente esses ataques de ódio dele acontecem quando eu peço pra ele fazer algo ou quando eu faço alguma coisa errada, seja tarefa doméstica ou alguma atividade que estejamos fazendo juntos ou quando simplesmente algo dá errado no dia dele… Sempre escuto alguma ofensa. Eu não sou uma santa, tb levanto a voz e me estresso várias vezes mas eu sempre tento ter uma tolerância maior e quando me estresso com algo tb tento medir um pouco as palavras, n xingo ele com a mesma facilidade que ele, com qqr estresse. Até evito levantar a voz pra ele não começar a dar chilique e termos mais discussões. Enfim, o ponto é que fora desse contexto de estresse nós nos damos super bem, somos mt grudados, estamos sempre fazendo td juntos, eu dou risada com ele, quando saÃmos com outros amigos costuma ser legal, a convivência é boa fora desses momentos, realmente temos mt intimidade. Ele tb demonstra mt carinho e é bem carente de atenção/carinho etc… tem esses momentos que nos damos bem tb. Mas só até certo ponto. O que me fez questionar mt mais o meu relacionamento é pq eu perdi totalmente a vontade de ter relação com ele… Não sei se perdi o tesão por tantas e tantas situações de estresse por coisas tão pequenas e ter escutado tantas ofensas… ou se é simplesmente pq enjoei da convivência praticamente 24h por dia com a mesma pessoa (pq trabalhamos de casa). Só sei que n sinto mais vontade nenhuma e tb não quero me esforçar pra ter. Eu estou cada dia mais certa da decisão que tenho que tomar… só tenho medo de como enfrentar a realidade no momento que tomar a decisão…. Sei que ele vai chorar mt e implorar pra eu ficar. E sei que eu vou ter que encarar a solidão e a falta dele.

I’m in a career where looks are important( acting). I also work at a bar. I’m doing my best by working out and being as healthy as possible and I look averagely attractive.
But I can’t seem to understand why so many girls always look at my other friends/coworkers? I just can’t figure it out. No matter what I do and what I change, whether I act confident or act shy or act tough, or act smart, I just can’t seem to replicate it. And sometimes I even act like I don’t care?!
I feel absolutely hopeless guys. It feels like God sentenced me to this. Why do some guys get to be so attractive and have crap personalities? Why do some guys are blessed with 6ft4 height and yet are some of the worst people in the world? It’s just not fair?
I’m seriously giving up hope.

 | Hey everyone, I need some advice on a situation I’ve found myself in with my car. I recently entrusted a well-regarded shop with a full respray for my car, a job that ended up costing over 20k AED in labor, plus another 5k in parts I had to source myself. The entire process took about five months, during which the shop owner stayed in regular contact with me. This was a straightforward respray—no bodywork was needed—after removing a poorly applied wrap. The job ran into some delays due to finishing details, which I completely understood at the time. However, when the car was initially delivered, the paintwork had some noticeable issues, including small imperfections in the finish. The owner mentioned that it could have been due to contamination in the paint booth, but they worked on rectifying it, which I appreciated. As the work progressed, though, more concerns surfaced. Several trim pieces were reinstalled using glue instead of replacing broken clips, which led to rattling noises. I ended up sourcing replacement parts to address these issues. At one point, a crack appeared in the bumper, which required additional discussion with the shop before they agreed to address it. Eventually, I took the car back, but I’ve since noticed other problems. Front bumper lines are horrible, piano black decorative components are scratched (qualify for replacement), and there’s over-spray in several areas where they cut the line and instead of disassembling things, they decided to cover it for spraying. Polishing compound residue has also proven difficult to remove. While I know these things can happen in such jobs, the cumulative effect has left me feeling disheartened, disappointed and frustrated. I’m now at a crossroads. The car isn’t in a condition where I could confidently sell it, even at a significant discount. I’m considering either taking it to another specialist to try and resolve the remaining issues, or pursuing legal action to recover some of the costs. That said, I don’t want to damage the reputation of a shop that many in this community hold in high regard, and I’d prefer to keep things constructive.What do you think is the best course of action here? Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Any advice or recommendations would be hugely appreciated. I’m not posting for a solution, just in the hopes that someone at Polestar reads these.
I had a PS2 and recently upgraded to a PS3. Mostly love the car, needs some software improvements to mitigate some frustrations.
Anyway, in my PS2, if you had the rain sense wipers on and sat down in the seat it was a race to slam the door before the wipers would flip rain or snow into the vehicle. I had hopes that this would have changed in the 3. Not so.
In an ICE vehicle, or any vehicle that you manually turn on, this hasn’t been an issue, but the auto start nature of the car and its features creates this weird confluence of circumstances. Would be nice if rain sense waited until the vehicle was in gear before slinging moisture everywhere.
