Adi Shankaracharya is often portrayed as a fair skinned Sanskrit-speaking individual, when in fact the opposite should be historically true. Since Adi Shankaracharya was born in the 8th century CE, he most likely did not speak Sanskrit natively as Sanskrit had stopped being natively spoken by the 1st millennium BCE, itself. So Adi Shankaracharya was most likely a Tamil speaker who only used Sanskrit for liturgical purposes. He may have spoken Western Tamil dialects which started diverging from Tamil, only after the 10th century CE to become modern Malayalam. Also, the large scale migration of Brahmins from North India to South India, began only after the the 11th century CE, before which most Brahmins in TN/Kerala were pretty dark-skinned. So, in conclusion, Adi Shankaracharya was most likely a dark-skinned Western-Tamil/proto-Malayalam - speaking individual who only used Sanskrit for liturgical purposes. North Indians are trying to appropriate the legacy of Adi Shankaracharya in an effort to steal South Indian history. There has been a recurring pattern of North Indian claiming every good thing coming out of South India as pan-India achievements (and thus, indirectly North Indian achievements, since according to Northies, North India = India), while every bad aspect of South India is South India's and not pan-India.

When that dude asked me to send my photos to calculate my destiny, I sent my pic without thinking. Then he starts blackmailing me to pay him a lot of money or else he will post me and my gf photos on his page. I want to report this but as you know, facebook AI can't really check our reports. Can someone please help me? What should I do? I want to report his post and page for blackmailing.

2025.01.18 10:50 KoreanGarlicWizard Hairline lowering before future hair loss?
19M. I haven't started losing hair yet but every man in my family over 25 barely has any hair, so I'm expecting for it to start soon for me as well. I have a naturally huge forehead and severe widow's peak, and I'm therefore considering getting a hairline lowering transplant.
But, as you probably know, this will eventually result in the hair loss to happen behind the new, transplanted hairline. But I've been thinking that this is a good thing because 1) it'll be easier to spot and catch early (I'll hop on finasteride, minoxidil, etc.), and 2) it'll be easy to cover up as I wait for it to regrow.
However, when I read about this online, it's always recommended to wait for the full hair loss to progress before getting a transplant. But why? Any thoughts on this or insights in general would be greatly appreciated

2025.01.18 10:50 Fast-Needleworker509 Tarantula wrapped in web housing?
This little guy had to have been in between my magic bullet blender lids for a couple of days maybe weeks now. He had built the roof of his house on the top of one lid and the rest on the other so when I separated the lids his roof got torn open and I got startled. I quickly threw him into a bag and try to help him get out. He crawled out no problem and to my surprise came right up to me. I transferred him into a cup with ventalition so he could breathe & everywhere I put my hand on the cup he would crawl towards it. I gave him water and put him in a heated room in his own corner hidden as I read they like to be hidden.
I live in the mountains and it is currently 33 degrees farenheit. My question is, why was he/she in this balled up web? Is this T hibernating or did he coincidentally start to molt the second I go to use my blender (which I haven't used for a year or so lol.) Also, can I keep this little guy during the winter and treat him the same as a pet store tarantula or will this hurt him?

Im a libra with an aquarius moon and virgo rising. One of the things they say about libras is that we have surface level , superficial friendships/relationships. Which in my case I find true. After some self reflection I realised I dont build deep bonds with people. I dont really open up and let people know my deepest secrets, anxieties and fears. I listen and give advice if they do...but i am ok if they are not. I am very easily able to break a friendship , be it a month or a decade long and I dont fight for a friendship either. I can find another 🤷♀️ I am not lonely , it is not sad, it is not horrible...this is my normal. I dont have a big friend group but i dont have a "best friend" either. There are 3 girls i would call close friends and maybe 5 more i would call "associates"...we spend time in social settings but dont know much of each others life. And that is fine with me.
. Everyone is different. But i have been told i need to let people in and i need to open up...but my deepest feelings etc are for me only, not for anyone else. But any other libran who finds the same situation?

Hi everyone,
I am currently in the process of buying my first house with my partner. However I have noticed we have very different aesthetics that we like. He likes more modern,soft chic styles whereas I like modern farmhouse and I have noticed that whenever we try and agree on a style of room together the ones he usually likes have pale blues and pale pinks in them. For example he chose a kitchen idea off Pinterest which had baby blue cabinets and a bathroom which has a cool coral pinky panelling along the wall with gold accessories such as taps and mirrors. And the ones i like are neutral with hints of greens and often with woods and plants. However when we sell our house down the line I am wanting the value of it to be higher than we bought the house for. Will our differences in aesthetics impact the value of the house? If so is there a way we can tie both of these aesthetics together to create one aesthetic throughout the house?
