2025.01.18 12:31 Forward_Emu142 Scheduling question for unassigned regular
I am a UR in an overstaffed office. We currently have 7 UR city carriers and 1 PTF in an office with 21 routes. This past Monday I was able to put a hold down on a route. That hold is set to begin today, Saturday 1/18 and runs until 1/28. The scheduled day off for that route is also today, so it was my understanding that today would be my off day, since that's when the hold begins. My PM confirmed that for me on Thursday of this week.
Here's where the problem is. For context, last week I finally put my foot down with management calling my personal cell phone and blocked all their numbers, including the office. So, yesterday my PM was trying to call me through any means necessary and I refused to respond. I even went as far as filing a grievance against him for harassment and wrote my statement last night to submit to my steward. Now he is pissed and is now saying today is NOT my off day, because of the holiday on Monday. Is that even possible? If it's not today, when is my scheduled day off for this week? I am NOT on the OT list, and since the office is overstaffed, nobody is even close to maxing on OT. I am 100% not going to work today and I told the evening supervisor that directly, last night.
What can they realistically do to discipline me for this, if anything. My steward is aware of all of this, but I'd like some other perspectives.

Salut!
Aș vrea să investesc aproximativ 65.000 EUR pe termen lung (nu am nevoie de banii aceștia în următorii 5-6 ani, poate chiar mai mult). În plus, plănuiesc să mai adaug 10.000-15.000 EUR anual, în funcție de economii.
Problema e că nu am timpul necesar să stau mereu să analizez grafice, creșteri sau scăderi. Caut ceva de tipul “buy and hold” – să investesc, să mai adaug periodic (lunar sau chiar mai rar) și să revizuiesc portofoliul o oră-două din când în când.
Cunostințele mele despre bursă și instrumentele financiare sunt aproape de 0, deci caut ceva relativ simplu și ușor de gestionat.
Întrebarea mea este: • Ce considerați că ar fi cea mai “safe” și rentabilă opțiune pe termen lung? • Spre ce arii/instrumente ar trebui să mă orientez? • Ce surse de documentare îmi recomandați, având în vedere că nu am foarte mult timp pentru citit?
Orice sfat sau recomandare ar fi binevenită! Mulțumesc mult!

hi guys, I’m a first year at USYD this year and when doing my timetable preferences i noticed one of my courses (MGCY1030) had a normal lecture + tutorial but also a workshop-SCANA?
I haven’t even heard of this and not entirely sure what it is. The brief description on Sydney Timetable says it’s an “optional” activity type?
I only ask because for this class it only runs once a week and would clash with another class of mine so just checking to see whether it’s compulsory or not.
If anyone knows or can offer any advice that would be great! Enrolment has made me a bit nervous ngl
