I'm on a work trip to America for the best part of 6 weeks and staying in a hotel and there's no kettle or even a coffee pot in the room. I kinda expected a lack of kettle because Americans don't do tea the way we do, but no coffee pot either.
Now, I'm not complaining at all, I'm in America for 6 weeks. But it got me thinking....
What's essential for a Brit in a hotel room. For me it's a good brew kit.

Hi, I've been prompted from the pharmacy to order my second pen! I was late starting so I've only just taken my 3rd injection of 2.5mg but it's been good! I've lost 1.8kg and 2kg over the last 2 weeks for a total loss of just under 4kg. I'm literally never hungry but I'm also going through a breakup this week so I'm not sure if it's the drug or heartbreak that's taken my appetite 😅. I'm wondering whether or not to bump up to 5mg and potentially half dose or stick with 2.5? I'd like to remain on the lowest possible dose throughout my journey.

It's possible that we won't see a recession, but highly likely that we see a significant pullback in the market. There is a wave of wealth transfer that has been happening and will rise over the next 5-10 years which could increase selling pressure. Also, the fact that we are at valuation levels higher than the Dot Com Bubble and the GFC is also concerning. Residential foreclosures are on the rise, property insurance has skyrocketed, and insurers in several states have stopped insuring real estate (which is needed to hold a mortgage) due to increased rates of natural disasters.
I have been doing something similar to Buffett, except I'm buying TLT (20+ year treasuries) at just under 5% yield. Also, I have been buying many fairly valued/undervalued stocks that are down over 50% over the past several years. Currently, I'm sitting at around 40% in treasuries, 50% in undervalued stocks, and 10% in cash. The next 5-10 years will more than likely disappoint very many regular investors, and principal-driven investors will have the opportunity of a lifetime.
With this strategy I've been able to achieve an alpha of 5-10 against the S&P 500 and NASDAQ over the past 2 years.

Hi all,
I just finished my three day MS optic neuritis prednisone 1250mg. I am currently on a 10 day taper and was wondering how long it takes for the prednisone side effects to go away/subside?? I basically had the whole gamut of side effects: water retention, facial flushing, mood changes, insomnia, taste changes, and more. My biggest pet peeve is the water weight: will the water weight drop back down on its own because I've gained 5lbs in 3 days and feel sooo puffy. Would love to get some insight on your experiences with MS high dose prednisone for ON.
