I’m a sophomore computer science major and I keep applying to internships for the summer. Each role seems to have their own set of skills so I don’t know how to curate my resume for each job when I have a limited skillset. I don’t have a mentor. I had two who guided me for cybersecurity and I quickly realized it’s not for me.
As I’m applying amongst thousands of other computer science student, I’m worried I don’t stand out. Despite some basic projects, I’m like the rest, in fact average. I don’t understand what value I have above other candidates. What makes a person hired?
I see posts about how saturated the market is for CS students now and I worry. Friends in my major are mostly too far advanced. How do I make friends who grow together in my major when I’m lacking? What am I doing wrong? Is it my small skill set? I don’t code a lot outside of class. Do only geeks get the jobs?
I know I’m lost, please don’t be rude. I’m tired. answer what you can, thank you.

I have always loved video games, but lately I began to start being bored to death of them. So I decided to go to gamestop to see if there were any interesting looking switch games and saw borderlands 1 in a crappy case with no cover art for $25 and I decided to go for it. Best video game purchase I've made by far. It got me back into video games and I'm really enjoying them now.
Anyone else have special connection with borderlands 1?

I recently applied for a sit around 3 hours drive from where we live. The owner came back to me and said that it was a necessity to visit the property before the sit was to take place. Whilst I completely understand that they would like to get to know us/ show us what’s what, I can’t help but feel this is where instructions/ manuals/ video calls etc should be utilised instead. This is a mutually beneficial agreement and whilst we aren’t being paid for our sit, we are requesting to travel and look after animals (of course accommodation provided) but the HO would save costs around 1-2k + for a two week stay. Has anyone else had requests like this? Is this even something that they are allowed to do? It just seems a bit of an unreasonable request to make a 6 hour round trip .. only for the HO to potentially accept an application/ cancel. I’ve 5 stars with plenty of refs just for the record!

I am trying to finish the Herald's Jounal for the +1 DP.
The first quest in Book 2 is to catch a blue grade fish in under 15 min and talk to Crio.
I have tried finish this quest many times, but every time i catch one blue grade fish it pops the "objective complet" and then, i talk to Crio (always in under 15 minutes) and it won't finish because "time has expired".
Once, i even caught 2 Sea Eels in under 8 minutes and still could not finish the quest.
Is this bugged? Anyone having the same problem?

2025.01.18 23:19 Lanky-Display-7258 Hitting a creative wall for a brand new homebrew world main quest.
First, I'll admit that perhaps I'm trying to do too much. But here's the overview and I'd love to hear some input. My apologies for the long read... I'm not even sure what a good TLDR would be.
The world has 3 moons. Creation involved 4 celestial beings/gods and they aligned these 3 moons and used their collective energy to form the world. Each moon has it's own orbit rate, and i had this idea that full moon alignments cause different events. By the power of ChatGPT, I was able to actually calculate these events.
The first two moons align every 5 years and 28 days... which might cause a relatively small global event like a minor earthquake or something... it's noticed, but not significant and maybe very few people think to even track it.
The first and third moons align every 30 years and 140 days. This could be something like an aurora that points to something or gives some kind of clues that very few notice.
The second and third moon align every 132 years and 178 days. I'm envisioning this to cause a piece of the 3rd moon to break off and be flung to earth for some reason but am having trouble what the effect could be. What does the moon rock do? I don't want it so big as to "wipe out the dinos" kinda thing... but those who realize that it's happening seek them out.
Finally... all 3 moons align every 1855 years and 140 days. This one starts at creation... the second coincides with the birth of a child of one of the gods and a mortal woman which I have this idea that he will seek godhood at the next 3 moon alignment though he doesn't know who he is yet. This also sparked the release (actually re-release) of magical "energy". Early in history, magic was a thing, because the gods actually walked the earth. They left because of coming threat and subsequently magic faded. This new birth re-ignited latent magical energy and the campaign starts a couple hundred years later. The world still doesn't fully understand it and the gods have been mostly quiet but not silent for several hundred years at this point.
The world is fractured regionally and a basically a certain priest wants to take full control under the guise of unity (based on prophesy of the aforementioned birth recently found)... though his right hand man is a powerful wizard and head of a secret society that plans to take control himself.
So main questions: What do the bad guys need to take control themselves? Ancient relic leftover by the gods? Something else? How do the asteroids play into everything? There's more than one so... do they need all of them? Can their plans still go on with a handful?
Like I said... I'm hitting a creative wall and would love some feedback. Happy to provide more details if needed and even link to my legendkeeper book if that might help. I feel like I'm pulling my hair out except I'm already bald soooooooooo..... thanks in advance.

2025.01.18 23:19 Astro0719 Issues with removing 2014 Nissan Maxima Headlight Assembly
I've been having some issues with removing the driver-side assembly. The whole thing will come out but barely and it looks like the harness has an extra wire coming out of it that I belive is a ground wire which is bolted to the car. The problem is that it's too short and won't let me pull the headlight out far enough to detach the harness clips from the headlight. It's just weird to me because that wire wasn't on the passenger side while I was removing it and it came out just like all of the instructional videos I've watched.
I'm thinking I'll have to disconnect the battery and then unbolt the wire attached to the car so I can get it out.
If anyone has any suggestions or info please let me know.

it’s so strange like my fortnite looks grainy whenever in full screen or window boarderless but whenever i open an app overtop of it or press the windows key it goes back to looking smooth and i think it has something to do with lossless scaling but it’s the only game thats affected like this the rest aren’t and i don’t even have lossless scaling open how do i get my game back to looking smooth?

2025.01.18 23:19 SeatownSwagger Tire shop replaced 235s with a pair of 225s in the rear of the car.
I ended up with a slow leak due to a nail puncture on one of my 235/40R18 OEM tires. The tire shop wouldn't repair it and ended up replacing the tire with a pair of 225/45R18s. They installed the pair on the rear (not sure why they didn't install the 235s on the rear, I thought wider always went in the back). Question, should I have them swap the 235s to the rear? And is this combo ok for a 2022 Honda Sport touring civic?
