 | https://preview.redd.it/7e3w8zxkxtde1.png?width=149&format=png&auto=webp&s=2ece134edf9ffe4a681430424f05156706142bf9 After playing GI for years, since its launch day, the past few days were the first time I voluntarily missed doing my commissions, and missing my commissions involuntarily was exceptionally rare because I would make a concerted effort to do them daily even through all scheduling complications, whether it be on my phone or whatever. I did not skip them in WuWa. I'm not certain why I did it, I just mentally prioritized what I wanted to do in WuWa. I really wanted to finish the Coop event with some friends of mine who also started playing, and it was fun strategizing echo choices and trying to get a higher score. I also really wanted to clear my world of echos for Zhezhi and Yinlin's new echo set because they're some of my favorite sub DPS classes and that set is a really awesome buff to their capabilities. It just didn't leave any mental energy to login to GI. I pulled Mavuika. I pulled Citlali. They weren't whale pulls, I actually get pretty lucky and got Citlali early after a mid-range whale on Mavuika for the Archon collection. I finished Natlan...and like...I realized there are so many things I am just sick of when playing. - I hate that I cannot skip boring, completely meaningless side quest dialogue if I don't have time for it or don't care. - I hate that I am stuck running around the world with a limited stamina bar. - I hate that I am slowly crawling up walls and mobility just feels dated and aged. - I hate that artifacts are extremely limited in how often and how much I can farm for them. - I hate that I'm limited on what days I can do what for things other than artifacts. - I hate feeling like Hoyo is balancing the entire game around their bottom line. All companies and business do this, but when it feels so blatant (I'm sorry but Citlali and Mavuika on the same patch just feels scummy even if I did get both luckily). Then when I went to do abyss...that made it feel even worse. Can you make the team requirements for relative success any more narrow? - I hate that the story is basically just going nowhere and has not gone anywhere since the very beginning. Sure, there are a lot of things that make it *seem* like the story is going somewhere, and a lot of things have happened that make it *feel* like maybe it's building to something...but I'm starting to think it's all just a mirage. The story of Natlan was disappointing, and I've started to lose faith that Hoyo actually has the narrative prowress to tie this all together in to some kind of neat little bow by the end. I feel like there's no way they can land this plane cleanly, and so they will instead give us some flailing, middling, "meh" ending (just like Natlan) that won't be horridly offensive but won't satisfy anyone. Hooray. How much have we learned about Paimon, our supposed "best friend" in several **years** of traveling with her? Literally damn nothing other than some BS about a string coming from the sky like a Celestia Balloon or something. Like...*who cares*. Yes, it's hinty, and mysterious, but there's only so much hinty & mysterious BS I can take before it starts to just bounce off of me as innocuous and eye-roll worthy. I figured it out though, all of this. Why they do all of this: they're simply wasting my time. They want me to log in every day and subject myself to all this junk to waste my time more and more. See the next pointless story beat that, in reality, tells me nothing of substance that I actually care about (inb4 in-depth lore nerds tell me all of the massively important critical details that we've learned from Natlan story *rolleyes*). Constantly hurry up and *wait* for the next day I'm allowed to do whatever it is I want to do. I'm just sick of all of that. All the waiting, all the conditions and nonsense with an overcast of corporate greed. It has moved the veil back a bit, like I'm a puppet in some kind of system that on the outside is attempting to be an insightful experience (or at least once was) but I can now clearly see it as a gigantic waste of mental energy and time. It's going to sound stupid, but this tiny little action of skipping a few days after being so annoyed with all these things that have bothered me for so long sort of made something click inside of my brain. I realized that I'm not having fun logging in to GI anymore and I'm actively enjoying WuWa as if it *were* what I used to think of Genshin. Do I feel a sense of sunk cost? Absolutely. It actually really hurts because I feel like GI has always been my "rock" game-wise. Even when I move in and out of other games, Genshin is always there to be my "baseline"...and for a while I was playing both Genshin and WuWa, and every since WuWa has started to improve patch by patch, it has more and more like Genshin is the "chore", while WuWA is the "main course". So why leave in such a redundancy to my daily routine when I can just skip it and put my time to something else that I actually like doing? I realized I've been sticking with GI all this time because I feel like I had a bond with the story and characters, but in actuality I was wrestled in to an iron grip of manipulation. Kuro is a business and I know they are out to get my money in every bit the same way as Genshin. I'm sure if presented with the opportunity to make as much money as Genshin, they'd take it without a second thought, but *something* about them after all of this amazing content tells me...they'd still be looking out for the players. Yes, they'll continue to grow, yes they will find more ways to monetize things and we will all grin and roll our eyes, but I truly do feel like they won't forget about us and that our enjoyment will be a priority regardless. The grass is honestly, truly, greener, and it took me a while to really get it all in perspective. I'm sad, but at the same time a huge sense of relief...right up to the *very end* I was pulling for characters I thought I wanted to play for the long term, and I have so many characters built and so many constellations and weapons and items and progress...and yet...I don't care. It's all a symbol of the vast amount of time I feel like Hoyo manipulated out of me. It just feels corrupt and dirty now, and I want to leave it behind. Thank you Kuro games, for helping me figure this out. It's only been a few days, but my mood when jumping on the PC at the end of the day to play games just feels...so much lighter. I'm happy to be focusing on a game that I feel like respects my time. Fun to play, tons of QOL features and mechanics that diversify my experience...and no anchor that I need "keep up on" in the background. Maybe one day I will try playing both again, but that time is not now. GI would have to, at this point, make some seriously vast leaps in improvement that match the momentum that WuWa now has (in my eyes). For now...I'm a Rover through and through. I work a retail job alongside my coworker, who I’ll refer to as B. Last semester, B enrolled in a nursing program at our local hospital, which I believe he’ll get an associates degree once he is finished (although I’m not 100% sure about that because the way he explains it is confusing). For context, he is 19 and has no other nursing experience. According to him, a lot of it is regular classes/coursework that you would expect in getting any degree, alongside weekly practicals. Through the program, they also are allowed to work on assigned floors directly with patients, with the supervision of the actual trained nurses (sorry I don’t really know correct terminology, CNAs?). At the end of last semester, he told me a story about him and another classmate attempting to assist a patient. The patient was lying down on their back, and they were attempting to turn them on their side. B and his classmate were struggling to do this, and the patient (who was older and obviously not within their right mind) was yelling about something. I can’t remember exactly what the patient was saying but they were clearly distraught. According to B, he was laughing so hard that he had to leave the room. Prior to this, I assumed that they ALWAYS had to have supervision from the actual nurses, but apparently this all occurred without ANY knowledge or supervision from them. The way B reacted to and also how he recalled the situation seemed kind of cruel to me as well.
Is it normal for people who are training to be nurses to be in these situations? He had only been in this program for a couple months at the time this occurred. Mind you they are NOT hired staff, it is an educational program. This is in the USA.

Hey everyone, I was recently looking into the requirements of a few different grad programs and saw the linkedin profiles of a few grads, all of whom have a lot more experience than I do. I have a little bit of experience in my field but most of experience is in retail. I also did an exchange semester and am doing honours this year but not sure if that will help. Would it still be worth applying if I don't have as much experience as others and is there anything I should try and do to boost my chances?

I’ve had ocular migraines since I was a young teenager. I don’t get them often and sometimes years have gone by without having any, but they seem to be happening every few months now.
Last night I thought I was dreaming I was having a migraine as I could see the aura when I was asleep, but I woke up to find it was real. It passed the way they always do but I was left struggling with low energy and depression all day, to the point where I cancelled plans and stayed home feeling rubbish. Anyone else experience depressive episodes after an ocular migraines? Wondering whether it’s a coincidence or not.
