At least, what it is to me. A relaxing adventure, let's say. An endless escape backed by years of lore and nostalgia.
But clearly Mod Pity has no such creative vision. He's been working to make the game more and more sleazy for years. The hero pass crap should've been the last straw. Yet, here we are again with another embarrassing fallout.
RuneScape is too iconic for this kind of bullshit. They need to get somebody else in there who really understands why RuneScape is what it is for so many people.
I think some of the game design and a lot of the UIs are a damn shame, but generally I am happy with all of the new skill and graphical reworks and content updates. If they can just keep focusing on that then I, for one, do not have a problem paying more.

I was a Philosophy Major af Uni and all I heard about Neitzsche, and further, existenialism was that it caused people to feel like shit, led to nililism, and broke down healthy consciousness to it's fundemental core. Recently, on here, and I don't mean to accuse anyone, I've seen people talk about N's writing making them feel even worse cause they don't feel like an Ubermensch. Again, don't wanna blast anyone so sorry if this sounds like finger pointing.
But, I never felt this way. Neitzsche's philosophy, as I'm FINALLY, actually, reading it has been Inspiring AF for me. The Birth of Tradejy as a sublimation of Pain, Beyond G/E as a confrontation to break down the world and live in a world of power and strength, Geneology as a display of weakness and hatred as the foundation of our cultural morality. Everything he has said is, honestly, what I've always FELT but never understood or explained. The class system of personal strengths, morality as a recognition of Endgames, personal responsibilty in your decisions and life, and a push to believe in yourself with the confrontation that the world will push back and accept the consquences. Plus, honestly, I follow the Greek gods so I feel personally vindicated by all the stuff he says. Esp Dionysius and I do belive D led me to read N at this point in my life.
Even Sartre. His 'Existenialism in Humanism' was what I always loved about Existenialism. Camus' essay on Sisypus broke me to the core but I built myself back stronger (I literally had a panic attack), and I loved Kirkegaard although it was 15yrs ago and don't 'really' remember why haha. I went to his grave in Copenhagen and honestly felt he came to me there.
Am I really on the outside with all this? Why does everyone feel so shitty when they read this stuff? Again, I don't mean to throw anyone under the bus and I don't mean to say I'm the coolest person ever...I'm honestly confused why I've always heard everyone else have the opposite reaction then me.

2025.01.18 23:10 Decaf_Macintosh For engineering, should I take physics and calculus 2 or chemistry and calculus 2?
Or should I take all three, or just one per semester? I struggled in Calculus 1, and that was about 5 years ago when I took it in college. I never took any chemistry or physics before.
I think I’m better at studying and understanding material these days, but wanna make sure I am being realistic.

Hi.
Let’s get this out of the way: I don’t know if she’s autistic however, she has very peculiar social behavior and when I first met her, she was unbelievably awkward and couldn’t really hold a conversation little alone keep it going. She speaks in a certain tone and she ALWAYS ends her interactions with me in the same tone and exact same phrasing. I’m just assuming and I’m doing that respectfully.
Ok. So. This girl is a cashier at my local market. We’ve been chatting while she’s working for about 1yr now. I’m aware of the situation (her place of work) and I’m trying my absolute hardest to be as respectful and considerate of this without making her feel uncomfortable. I’ve intentionally SLOWLY built this dialogue between us so that she kinda feels safe and that I’m not trying to be weird. At this point, she now, literally, waves her hand at me and does a small little hop when she sees I’m in her checkout lane. I find it adorable..
Ok with all that out of the way: I genuinely don’t know a good way to say to express “I’d like to talk more and these 1min interactions are awful but we can chat more outside but I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable at your job if this extension is weird…”
I’ve thought about saying to her kindly that I can leave my number and she can decide to reach out and if not, THATS OK! I won’t ask ever again.
Idk.. need some help here.. we get along so well : /

2025.01.18 23:10 Remus71 Ranger Sorcerer Is Honestly Completely Overpowered
Hello Guys,
I've spent the last few days obsessing over a Multiclass which you really don't see a lot of. I've made some post about my progress and have now reached critical mass at the end of Act 2 and I'm convinced this build is S++ Tier, right up there with Swords Bard, Gloom Assassin, Open Hand Monk, the lot:
**All 3 of these fights are with no surprise round, no stealth mechanics. I literally just run in and start blasting**
Thisobold Solo - Got hit once
Malus Thorm Solo - Didnt get hit once
Gith Ambush Solo - Didnt get hit once
**The Build**
Disclaimer - I've only taken it to Lvl 8 so far.
**Early game**
Ranger 2, Sorceror 2 - Take Bounty Hunter from Ranger and Ensnaring Strike, this is the whole build. Enemies save with disadvantage from ensnaring strike. This is huge. Disadvantage on spell saves is the capstone feature of Eldrith Knight and Arcane Trickster. Yes it only applies to Ensnaring Strike but its the only spell you need. Take Longstrider for Qol and Hail Of Thorns for Shotgun memes. This lets you play with the main mechanic very early. Its super resource intensive but broadly equivalent to Swords Bard, War Cleric and Fighter in that its 4 extra attacks per long rest. However, these extra attacks give you a hard CC that virtually nothing resists. Enemies make every subsequent save with disadvantage and your allies have advantage. It ends most fights in the first round, especially if you have GWM/Sharpshooter party members
**Mid Game**
Work Towards Gloom Stalker 5/Sorcerer 2 - Like alot of other builds the Ranger Sorcerer takes off when you get to Moonrise. Why? Potion Of Angelic Reprieve from Lann Tarv. Its cheesy and tedious to do but overflowing your spell slots enables you to twin cast Ensnaring Strike every round and follow up with extra attack. You absolutely don't need to do this in a party but its necessary for the try-hard Solo fights above.
Congratulations, you 3 full attacks every round, 2 of which are CCing and damaging enemies, inflicting multiple status effects.
**The Gear**
This is where it gets really Silly
Hat Of Storm Scions Power - Drakethroat your bow to stack acuity.
Bow Of The Banshee - Blood Curdling Emission Procs ALOT, frightening enemies.
Gloves Of Belligerent Skies/Boots Of Stormy Clamour - Reverb off your attacks
Cats Grace - +2 Dex and you have Draconic Resilience
Hamerhaft - Generate Acuity with your movement. Drink a potion of flying and off you.
Crushers Ring - Move Speed
Risky Ring - Its the Risky Ring
Amulet Of Branding & Surgeons subjugation for bosses.
**The Gameplay**
Start fights with an arrow of many targets the follow up with an unsavable ensnare on two priority/nearest targets to pin them down. Run/Fly out of everyone's range attack range and end turn. Everyone will dash towards you. Pin the next nearest two with twinned ensnaring strike. Anyone gets to close prone them with hamerhaft, run away and ensnare them. If two enemies get on top of you twin cast Hail Of Thorns and delete them. In Solo play you string the enemy across the map killing them one by one and there is nothing they can do about it. Anyone who gets closed is pinned down by full ranger damage.
Don't Touch Isobel, Mate
**Its honestly crazy what the build can do, I can't wait for Act 3!**

I never thought I'd make a reddit account but I'm so desprate right now and really just need some advice. Just for context I'm in high school and last year I was pretty decent and getting 5'6" in practice. Over the summer I started working out so I could get more speed and also going to this other coach who was, in my opinion, very intense. My steps (I do a 10 step) made me feel very close to the bar and I requested a bungee, which he said he didn't do and assured me my steps were good. I'm not so sure if I was actually too close to the bar or just not used to my speed but I got to a point where I would run up to the bar and wouldn't jump at all, so I stopped going to him. Now in the winter I thought that problem would go away but it's gotten to the point where I would open up at a mid height and wouldn't jump the next one. It's getting worst as the season progresses and I really don't know if I should quit or just take a break. I feel like I've tried everything (like jumping 4'0" from a 2 step, 4 step) but whenever the bar goes slightly higher or when I try it from a 10 step I'll spend hours hyping myself up and still won't jump. It's frusterating because I know I can do it since I've done 5'4" with a bungee, but when I start my run when there's a bar my whole body tells me to stop. Sorry if I wrote alot but I don't know if I should quit jumping or keep trying. I really like this sport but I just wish I could feel good jumping like I did last year

I was thinking about how much she goes on about how much she loves TikTok but she always talks about it in a self serving way. How amazing Jeffree is. Her friends, going live etc. But I don't think I've ever heard her actually talking about the content on the app. I've never heard her say "oh this trend is so funny" or "I saw this really cute video today" or any drama or anything on the app. She never really talks about creators she likes unless it's one of her friends.
Anyone else notice this?
