2025.01.19 00:18 Limp_Break_9055 SSRI usage and gender identity
I spent the majority of my 20s on SSRIs (specifically Fluoxetine, or Prozac). I also spent the majority of my 20s believing that I was a woman and that I would have to transition eventually. There are a lot of external factors to consider with regards to why I might have felt that way, from the general uncertainty of being in my 20s; bouncing around from place to place, job to job, to things like social media usage.
I have a sneaking suspicion though, that the medication played a big part in that thought process. That idea first came about on the year that I started taking the medication. I was off and on it a few times in the years that followed but I don't really remember exploring the topic at the time. It was less a case of wanting to go off them, and more that my economic situation prevented me from filling my prescriptions and so I had more pressing matters to consider than my gender identity.
But a few years ago at 29, I made the decision to go off them entirely and it was like a light switch flipped in my head. It was almost overnight, I woke up one morning a couple of weeks later and found myself perfectly comfortable with my life, my appearance and my role in society. My situation hadn't changed. Same job, same roommates, but cutting out the SSRIs seemed to completely upend my way of thinking.
It's hard to find information on the topic. A lot of google results are academic papers for doctors looking to prescribe to patients which I'm not necessarily able to parse. There are certainly some Reddit posts, though they generally tend to take the approach that gender is something set in stone (ie you're born transgender), and that SSRI medications simply clear away the fog and reveal some version of your true self, which I'm skeptical of. I view gender as more of a fluid thing that twists and flows with your identity at large rather than any sort of biological truth.
That being said, my medicinal regime lined up a bit too neatly for me to ever have been able to pass it off as entirely a coincidence, so I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has had a similar experience with anti-depressant medications.

I am searching for a hardcore shooter like hell let loose or squad - but singleplayer. Are there any? Would be nice if it is a "gametime to infinity and beyond" game with grind. Arma3 has singleplayer but it's more like a sandbox and I actually don't know what to do after campaign and scenarios. And please don't suggest something like Ghost Recon - I am looking for a hardcore game. - PC Player

Does anyone have a favorite AI tool for editing or collaborating one's book? I've tried many over a couple of years. And have recently purchase ChatGPT to help me put a shine to my story, using their Projects feature. While it started out pretty good, it has quicky gone whacky, bringing up portions of my book that I never wrote or know where it came from. And there are a bevy of other issues, that's driving me crazy.
Using the same text, and asking for the same task I'm finding that Claude provides a much better result. And when I give it some perspective on how the character is feeling or whatever, it takes it and rewrites the text bringing out how the character would be reacting or whatev in such an impressive way.
So, I do I purchase Claude also? My book is large, it's been through 10 drafts and several first readers.
Please let me know what you're experience has been. Maybe I'm not not providing the correct instructions in ChatGPT and confusing it, or something else. Please let me know your thoughts.

I can see the balanca including the correct meme coin on solscan, but i don't see the coin on ledger live.

I still have "allow blind signature" set to no. Do I have to set it to yes for it to show up?

Was randomly looking on the website today and got put into a Virtual Queue. Iβve never ordered from Fairyloot before. Is there some kind of sale of previously in demand books going on? Are the books on sale now just recently back in stock from being sold out? Or are they leftover stock from not being able to sell out?
Iβm interested in a book that was out in September but I donβt know if Iβll like it so I thought if it was still in stock, demand must not be very high and i should try to read it first before buying. But if it was back-in-stock only today, I might buy it.
