I still feel this message is confusing, the message could be extended to include a better explanation of the issue, for example: "LF will be replaced by CRLF in file.json after removing the file and checking it out again". Note: Git 2.19 (Sept 2018), when using core.autocrlf, the bogus "LF will be replaced by CRLF" warning is now suppressed. This means that both float and double reach printf as double and therefore %f and %lf both expect double and therefore are the same. This is why also you never see %hd because it works exactly the same as %d. Additionally this is why you don't need to cast a char to int if it is given to %d. I want to force Git to check out files under Windows using just LF not CR+LF. I checked the two configuration options, but was not able to find the right combination of settings. I want to convert all files to have LF line breaks and keep the LF in the files. Remark: I used autocrlf = input but this just repairs the files when you commit them. In C89, %lf caused undefined behaviour although it was a common extension to treat it as %f. The reason that one specifier can be used for two different types in printf is because of the default argument promotions ; arguments of type float are promoted to double when used to call a function and not matching a parameter in a function prototype. Git will convert LF to CRLF when checking out text files. When committing text files, CRLF will be converted to LF. For cross-platform projects, this is the recommended setting on Windows ("core.autocrlf" is set to "true") Checkout as-is, commit Unix-style. Git will not perform any conversion when checking out text files. When it is enabled, git will convert CRLF to LF during commit and LF to CRLF during checkout. A file that contains a mixture of LF and CRLF before the commit cannot be recreated by git. For text files this is the right thing to do: it corrects line endings such that we have only LF line endings in the repository. CR and LF are control characters, respectively coded 0x0D (13 decimal) and 0x0A (10 decimal). They are used to mark a line break in a text file. As you indicated, Windows uses two characters the CR LF sequence; Unix (and macOS starting with Mac OS X 10.0) only uses LF; and the classic Mac OS (before 10.0) used CR. An apocryphal historical ... This allowed for "overprinting", placing multiple lines of output on one line. Things like underlining were achieved this way, as was BOLD print. LF advanced the paper one line. If there was no CR, the next line would print as a staggered-step because LF didn't move the print head. FF advanced the paper to the next page. %lf for double %Lf for long double; It just so happens that when arguments of type float are passed as variadic parameters, such arguments are implicitly converted to type double. This is the reason why in printf format specifiers %f and %lf are equivalent and interchangeable. In printf you can "cross-use" %lf with float or %f with double. The warning "LF will be replaced by CRLF" says that you (having autocrlf=true) will lose your unix-style LF after commit-checkout cycle (it will be replaced by windows-style CRLF). Git doesn't expect you to use unix-style LF under Windows.

I’m new to doing this. I was able to connect to another server for a couple of events in Pokemon black but I was only getting secret egg and shelter, darkrai once. So I tried to connect to Wiimmfi but it won’t connect when I test the connect. I’m using the right servers I think, I haven’t input it incorrectly. Is the server now? Or were there additional steps I need to do for wiimmfi on a 3ds?

is this normal?
was playing a couple of apex matches and later changed to wuwa (wuthering waves) must have been 1hr gaming at best. suddenly a message saying "overheating. turning console off" appeared. or something like that and the screen turned black.... for 3-4 secounds, afterwards the screen showed the game again and it continued normal.
my question is did this happen to anyone else? is this normal?
a bit more of info got a ps5 slim, which i use with a vertical stand. the console has more or less 8 month. it is well ventilated. My ambient temp from around is 20-22 C°. and it has an aditional ssd memory with head sync.

When launching a backed up copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl the screen just scrolls up without stopping and reappears at the bottom, but the game works fine. When leaving the game and going to the home menu it becomes very buggy and slow with black lines at the bottom. I've tried reinstalling the wbfs and clearing the save file but it didn't work.
