Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to respond to the criticism I’ve received after my post about buying $100 worth of packs from a TikTok livestream. First off, I completely understand the concerns around scalpers, and I agree that it’s a serious issue within the community. Looking back, I realize that by making that purchase, I may have unintentionally contributed to the problem. I want to be mindful of that moving forward and will make more thoughtful choices in the future.
For some background: I’m fairly new to this community, and I initially got into it to connect with my 10-year-old son. We’ve been learning about the hobby together, and it’s been a great way to bond. I tried to pre-order, but as many of you know, those sold out almost immediately. After that, I reached out to local stores the night before release in hopes of finding some stock. I even waited in line outside one store on release day, but when the doors opened, I found out all the in-store inventory had been pre-purchased online for in-store pickup at 2 a.m. I left empty-handed.
It was really tough coming home and having to tell my son that we didn’t get anything to open. Later that day, I was scrolling through my phone and came across the livestream. On impulse, I called my son in to join me, and we watched the streamer open the packs live with 2,000 other people. It felt like the next best thing to what we’d missed out on.
I came here to share a fun moment and connect with others, not to promote scalping or anything negative. I didn’t expect the backlash that followed, and while I understand the passion many of you have for this hobby, it did catch me off guard.
Let’s try to show a little more humility and kindness to others. We all come from different places, have different experiences, and could all benefit from a little more understanding and support.

Looking to upgrade my bipod game from the Magpul and cheap Chinese knockoff Harris I’ve been using.
I shoot bench rest competitions and NRL22. Original thought of getting an Atlas BT65-LW17 for bench and either the MDT GRND or Harris sbrmp for NRL22. I came to the realization that buying these two would put me in the price range of 1 Accu Tac.
Is there an Accu Tac that would work for both? Looking to get peoples experiences, recommendations, input, etc. Thanks.

Hello all! I'll try and keep this post short, and leave most of the details for PMs. Right now, I am in search of a partner or two to write some engaging stories with! Allow me to introduce myself:
- I go by Lyon, and I've been writing for about five years now. In RP lingo, I write in an advanced lit/novella style although I am certainly very adaptable.
- I prefer to write women as my main character, but beyond that I am open to most anything character wise. In terms of romance, I am open to it between characters no matter the gender combination.
- I am in the US East / GMT-5 timezone, but I do not mind where you are so long as we can find a way to make it work!
- I prefer to write on discord for organizational purposes, so please be willing to do that as well.
Plot wise, I have a few general ideas in mind, but I am totally willing to workshop/world build alongside my partner. I'll list them here. When it comes to the character I would be playing in these, I have at least a general idea for all of them, but some are more fleshed out than others. Take a look, and hopefully one sparks interest! These are very brief descriptions, only because I don't want to make this post much longer that it already is.
- A Tomb Raider Inspired Adventure: This story would involve one of more my developed OCs, a young archaeologist and PhD candidate. The plot would be similar to the Tomb Raider and Uncharted games in style and vibe, following M/C and Y/C as they fight their modern enemies and uncover the ancient past. I'll admit, I've got a soft spot for this plot considering I am an archaeologist in real life.
- Star Wars (Galactic Civil War / New Republic Era): It has been a while since I've written a story that took place in the Star Wars universe, but I've had a renewed interest in it. I think it would be especially interesting if this story took place after Jakku and the fall of the Empire, and followed a remnant faction in some capacity. I was looking to play a Stormtrooper of some kind, although I have a mandalorian OC that I could dust off if we decide to go down the path of the story taking place during the Galactic Civil War.
- Late 19th, Early 20th Century Era World: If you look through my post history, You'll see that I've posted quite a bit regarding my home brewed world. I am always looking for people to write within it, so If you'd like feel free to browse those posts and let me know if you are interested! This world is incredibly fleshed out, so there really isn't a limit on the kind of plot we could do! My OC and main character, Carmen Alvarez is a young Captain and graduate of a Military Academy, though she consistently grapples with her role in the military of a Imperial power.

I run the Bolt and Mini on wifi for the past 6 years. I have it with a cable card thru spectrum in Los Angeles. By running a TiVo I lost some channels from the guide, Im not sure exactly which ones but it's a good amount and most importantly. I really cared about my MotorTrend channel because they run the 24 hours of LeMans. Other than that I'm happy with it. I recently received (just like everyone here) the upgrade to Edge with lifetime service. I got it just because it's the frugal thing to do instead of paying 20 for the rest of the lifetime of my Bolt. That being said.....should I do it? Can I run 2 boxes simultaneously instead of the Mini? Even if TiVo goes out of business in the next 2 years, I'm saving the cash. What's everyone's experience with the Edge and switching to the Edge been like? Thank you for your time and help.

Family of 4 (myself, my wife, 2 elementary school age kids) relocating back to the US and considering Boulder CO vs. Silicon Valley (Saratoga, Los Altos, Portola Valley).
Priorities: access to nature, large flat yard for kids to play, neighbourhood where kids can safely walk or bike to friends houses, school quality, good weather most of the time, sense of community.
We are semi-retired so work is not a factor.
Concerns on Silicon Valley: center of the tech rat race (will we fit in as non-tech, retired people?), high pressure environment for kids, traffic
Concerns on Boulder: lack of diversity, less access to Asia/asian culture (wife is Korean).
Anyone with experience in both places, would appreciate your thoughts.

It's my 30th birthday tomorrow. Tonight we went out to eat and I couldn't keep it down. I've been ok for a long time now but in the last week I've purged about 4 times. I have never binged, so idk what you'd call me lol ana/bullimic? I was good for maybe a couple of years, but this past year it's been on and off. I don't want to go back down this path but the comfort of it is hard to resist. I'm struggling again and I feel like I'm supposed to be going into my 30's strong but I'm failing. This really sucks and idk how I'm going to get a handle on it.

I’m looking for a crewcab k30, always been a dream truck for me for various reasons. But they are hard to find in good condition.. UNLESS they are a dually, many of the 4x4 dually in my area are in great condition and cheap. Hi,
I have a design for a small PCB enclosure with a USB-A port on it. I have the Step and STL files for it.
The design for the enclosure is two pieces that snap together over a small PCB. The design needs a little improvement to make sure that the pieces snap together to form a tight fit. I have a few pieces printed which are 95% up to spec and I can show you those as well.
Final goal is to print this in ASA but for the prototyping any material is fine.
If anyone in the Bay Area (Santa Clara) could help me out with this, please DM me.
