I was coming home from a festival and we were stuck in traffic for 2hrs when the driver wanted to get something from the pharmacy, I felt sober and kept the car moving along when 5min later we went through a police checkpoint, the reason for the traffic. I had taken a quarter of an ecstacy 24h prior and thought I would be fine but I guess not.
I received a low-level driving under the influence (MDMA) misdemeanor (not criminal) charge which resulted in a €500 fine and 1 mo driving ban. How much does this affect a work visa application?

After spending hours growing a dino, I log back in after the server reset (logged out safely), get in the game, go drink some water, I start seeing my water meter stop going up and fishes swimming on land. Bam, main menu [Server connection lost] my dino shows as unsafe, I log back in and I get the dino selection screen..... You'd think that despite having the slowest dev time ever, they'd at least have better servers and mechanics around it to prevent things like that, but no, players could abuse it to save their dinos, so instead we'll also punish those suffering from our bad servers. This wasted hours of my day, because hey, dinos gotta take hours to grow too... I love this game when it works well, but when it doesn't, which is often, it'll waste your time like rarely any others. It'd be like having a rogue-like that doesn't save your progression during a run and keeps crashing.

2025.01.19 08:30 Square-Pressure7392 Concerning housemate with interest in legal weapons
For context this is a HMO (UK)
There's no two ways about it this housemate is not good news. This I already knew about him. However the concerning signs keep coming. I need to make this housemate situation work for the time being but at what point do I take action and risk rocking the boat? Even if I were to take action how would I do so?
I don't know where to begin describing this guy. There is a whole list of relatively minor issues such as not flushing the toilet, not locking the door, not cleaning and just not being house trained in general.
He says he has schizophrenia, he does drugs, sells drugs (only at a small time level, I think he's trying to prove something to himself) and has a concerning interest in being "prepared" and amassing legal weapons. He showed me his tactical flashlight and started talking about how he has a Swiss army knife and power cords (STC or something like that?). Why he was telling me this I don't know. What was I supposed to think?
If what he's freely told me is this concerning, it makes me wonder what he HASN'T told me. He's always been friendly enough but is clearly a nutter. He thinks he's in control of his actions but he is not (since drugs and mental illness) and he does not understand this. This is the most concerning thing. Even people of relatively sound mind aren't truly in control of their actions but that's one for another time.
Keeping legal weapons and being "prepared" while still being of reasonably sound mind is one thing, but combine that with drugs and mental illness and, frankly, outright stupidity, and you have a deeply concerning cocktail. It's a HMO so the landlord decides who to put in the house and he is completely indiscriminate.
I could have a word with the landlord but however I go about it I'd be risking consequences as I'd still have to live with the guy.
I could digress and go on a tangent about how it's seemingly impossible to afford non-shared accommodation despite working full time meaning I'm seemingly stuck living with degenerate morons for life. That's one for another time I think.
Do I sit tight or do I do something about this?

When looking at my Aunt’s DNA matches, she has connections to around 10 people who all share the same ancestor born in the 1820’s. The cm approximation for these matches range from 8-12cm. The interesting thing about these matches is that they are all half Spanish/Indigenous. These matches are on my 100% Sicilian grandmother’s side.
My aunt, mother, brother and I do not have Spanish or Indigenous DNA that shows up on Ancestry. However, on multiple DNA sights that trace DNA farther back, they detect Indigenous in my mother, specifically South American and Mexican. IllustrativeDNA matched my mother to Indigenous tribes in Mexico where my Aunt’s DNA matches have lived for generations. I would like to add my mother did not take a DNA test on Ancestry but 23andMe.
Can someone please help me figure this out, I truly would appreciate it.

i think my industrial might be infected but i can't tell. i got it done about 2 weeks ago, its been fine up until this point. i woke up and its been itchy, throbbing, and irritated all day today. there was a tiny bit of light green discharge on the barbell coming out of the hole. my aftercare is a spray cleaner that came in a piercing kit i bought, (THIS PIERCING IS NOT SELF-PIERCED!) and then neilmed spray saline solution after that.

2025.01.19 08:30 BonusPerfect863 mouse/trackpad drag file and won't let go frequently
I have been having this issue for a long time, every now and then when I try to drag a file it stick to my cursor and won't let go.
Pressing esc can sort of fix this but as long as I drag anything it will stick to my cursor again, with the only fix is to put my macbook in sleep and get back.
It isn't that kind of critical glitch but have been extremely annoying because of how often it happens and interrupt my work. Anyone having this issue like me?

2025.01.19 08:30 Proud-Ad6730 Manager called my doctor to ask about scheduling. Does this violate HIPPA?
I’m on workers comp and still working with restrictions. Every Monday morning I email my manager my updated restrictions and date/time for follow up appointment. My appointments have been every Friday since the injury. About 6 weeks so far. I was told by manager it was ok but if I had to leave early I would not be paid. This past Friday my manager confronted me about why my appointments are on Friday and demanding I schedule my appointments outside work hours. About 2 hours later she emailed me saying she called my doctors office and confirmed they had availability on the weekend. Stated I misinformed her while CC’ing HR to the email. I didn’t change it due to it being so last minute. But I’m wondering if she violated my rights by calling the doctors to ask.
