Hi everyone!
I'm looking for someone (of any gender, I don't really care), who is willing to listen to me yap about my interests and yap to me about theirs, play games with me, and overall just keep me company. I'd prefer those within a few years of my age and around my timezone (EST), though as long as you're over 18 and not a dry texter I'm not gonna be too picky ^^
To start about myself, I’m really into PC gaming. Phasmophobia, Minecraft, Palworld, BG3, Terraria, Lethal company, and many many more! I’m currently playing Black Myth: Wukong and I’m absolutely obsessed so far!
I’m also really into Dungeons and Dragons, it’s been the interest I’ve been fixated on as of the past few years. I think the lore is really interesting and I love world-building and crafting stories and interesting characters, it’s been a dream of mine for a while to be involved in or run a really long campaign
I’ve also been trying to get back into art, I’m not good at it whatsoever but it makes me happy to see myself improve. Same with crafts like crochet, sewing, fursuit making, and knitting
Other than all that I’m very into anything space related (astronomy, not astrology) and language learning. It’s one of my life goals to be fluent in at least five languages, so if you happen to have a second language that you’d like to share, I’d love to learn! Hallo zusammen!
Nach immer mehr Informationen sammeln und viel mitlesen hier im Reddit habe ich mich dazu entschieden auch endlich auf Flatex zu wechseln. Ich hätte hier nur ein paar Fragen an Euch, die mir in den letzten Tagen/Wochen beim Mitlesen aufgefallen sind, um meinen Ansatz zu bestätigen bzw. Einfach auch Eure Meinung zu hören.
BASICS: Mama und Papa wollen für ihre Kinder (4j, 1j) sparen, damit der Start in deren Unabhängigkeit leichter fällt. Dementsprechend Anlagehorizont 15-20 Jahre.
Einmalanlage: 13k€ Monatlicher Sparplan: 80€
Meine Fragen dazu im generellen:
-> (vielleicht überzogen, trotzdem denke ich daran..) Trump wird morgen als POTUS angelobt. Warten ein paar Tage oder gleich rein am Montag?
-> ich habe mit der depotanlage 100€ orderguthaben. Wie/bei was kann das verwendet werden?
Einmalanlage hätte ich den Premium ETF A2PKXG genommen, Sparplan wäre LYX0YD geworden (wegen der 1,5€ Befreiung).
-> ist es "blöd", wenn im Depot mehrere Positionen sind? Auch in Hinblick auf die Premium etf Auswahl von Flatex könnten da ja im Laufe der Jahre mehrere ETFs landen, weil die Liste ja scheinbar jährlich geändert wird?
Es gibt immer wieder Ereignisse (birthdays, Weihnachten, etc), bei dem die Kinder Geld fürs Sparkonto bekommen.
-> wie wäre da der beste Umgang? Da wird es sich um 100-500€ handeln, dementsprechend keine 4stellige Summe für den A2PKXG.

Estimations and capacity planning are a big part of sprint and roadmap planning activities that the entire tech org get involved in but I havent seen much content/best practices around these.
Sharing my thoughts on the topic & keen to hear how you do it in your orgs, and if you have best practices to share. It's a major time suck for me right now so looking for tips and hacks.
How I sell work estimation and capacity planning internally & why I think it's important
- Don't overcommit/overwork the team - If done well, estimation and capacity planning ensure that your team is not overworked or underworked.
- Decide where the team will put their time in - If done well, estimation and capacity planning force you to work out details of ideas, the difficulty/risks of executing those details and ultimately work out which work items you'll focus as a team given finite resources.
- Manage stakeholders/customers expectations - Customers demand increasing value for the money they pay, Prospects have must-have features they need to close the deal & execs need to justify their budgets and hit their KPIs as early as possible. By estimating, you set better expectations which features come earlier - pleasing a customer, closing a prospect, hitting exec/investor KPIs earlier.
- Roadmap planning every quarter - working out which work/ where time will be spent longer term at a high level
- Sprint planning every 2 weeks - working out which work/ where time will be spent short term at a more granular level
- Each feature is broken down into tickets and story points
- Capacity of team determined in story points - based on working days & avg story points per working day
- Story points budget worked out per bucket of work (eg. 60pct for features, 20pct for maintenance, 30pct for tech projects)
- Pull tickets into sprint up to meet story points budgets (including fallovers from previous sprint)
- Roadmaps updated if short term plans change any long term plans (eg. some work is going to take longer than expected which delays the next feature on the roadmap)
Roadmap planning
- Capacity of team determined (eg. in FTE weeks or other capacity unit)
- Budget per theme worked out (eg. 60pct for features, 20pct for maintenance, 30pct for tech projects)
- Each potential roadmap item broken down into high level size (eg. FTE weeks)
- Most critical initiatives pulled on each theme up until FTE budget met. We typically don't have initiatives for support/maintenance work, we just treat that budget as something we will use during sprints for ad-hoc work.
- Discussion with team on priorities
- Discussion with exec/leadership on priorities
- Tweak FTE budget per theme, initiatives, priorities
- Roadmaps updated for the next quarters or beyond.
Tools I use for sprint and capacity planning
- Capacity planning - I built a calculator that works out budgets in story points or FTE for sprints and roadmap planning that we use internally.
- Sprint & roadmap work - The actual committed sprint work typically lives in Jira (where engineers do planning) where as the roadmap work lives in Product board/Excel/Jira (where product people do planning)
- Roadmap comms - We have Confluence pages and Google Slides translating the roadmap / removing details for different audiences.

Getting into content creation (more like online persona creation, but I couldnt find any personal branding subs). I was head of branding (which included digital marketing since we didnt have a marketing person) at a beauty company, and have a good idea on how to manage both longform and shortform channels.
My question is - how crazy is it to have:
a) youtube videos (10-25 min long) for one niche
b) website blog for (1-2k word long articles) for another niche
c) shortform platforms where I would discuss like 70-80% b), and 20-30% a)
My reasoning is there is no need to make blog posts about the stuff I want to talk on youtube, and vice-versa, no need to make youtube vids about what I want to talk on my blog. At least, not in a way that would really engage with people.
However the concern is whether I would be spreading myself too thin? Would it hurt my credibility?
The product (content) would be packaged in a way that is super coherent and on-brand for me, and both niches attract a very similar audience, even though they are not direct sub-niches of each other.
I haven't really seen people do this, but if someone has any tips, or cases of people who talk about one niche on one platform, and another on a second platform, I'd really appreciate! Thanks!

Super random but I was at Tamachi Station at about 5:45pm tonight (19th Jan) and there were heaps of people crowded around the tracks both on the platform and the overhead bridge above. Lots with cameras/phones out videoing.
Does anyone know what that may have been about? Not sure if it’s something that happens often or in other locations. Were they waiting for a certain train or somebody?
This isn’t a burning or important question of course, we were just super curious about what people could have been waiting for! I’ve never seen something like that in my home country
