Hi there, looking for some advice on enjoyable drives. I passed my driving test late last year, bought an auto 2006 Corsa (all I could afford). I'd like to take my spouse out for a drive on the weekends. Please can you suggest enjoyable driving routes in the county?
Ideally, some of these criteria: nice scenes, nice destination town/village/tourist site, sensible road layouts (nothing wacky to catch out tourists), avoiding motorways (never done them before).
I hear a lot of chatter that UK driving is just unavoidably awful. Now I've got my full license, I really want to fall in love with driving, and continue to improve, so I hope someone can advise. Thanks in advance!

Hi team,
Hope everyone is doing ok.
I had all four of mine removed on Thursday, in what was supposed to be a quick, local anaesthetic procedure that ended up lasting 2 hours because all of my roots were twisted and hooked lol. It was grim but glad I got them out.
I have been strict with my medication and diet, eating mashed potato, yoghurt, scrambled eggs and soup. I have an antimicrobial rinse that I use after each meal, and have tried very very gently brushing my teeth a few times. I am following antibiotics for the next few days. From what I can see, the blood clots are still in there and seem unchanged, but obviously I am super paranoid about dry socket. I have been sleeping upright and will continue to do so until the swelling has gone down. All things considered it seems to be healing fine.
I am curious, how long did it take for you guys to feel back to normal? How long until you no longer had to be hyperaware of everything you ate, of not spitting etc? How long until I can relax a bit and not worry about dry socket lol? Will the stitches take long to dissolve? When they do dissolve, will I have an open hole in my mouth? Basically, what should I expect over the next few days.
I am still in minor constant pain and stiffness, with the occasional weird stabbing pain when I swallow or drink water, which I am assuming is normal and due to the stitches etc.

I even read the Communist Manifesto to impress her ( yes I know, I fuckin' know man, I was down bad ) The vocabulary of that book gave me migraines ( and Ik she didn't owe me nothing for reading it :) ...Anyways.. 2 days before my birthday, she vanishes into thin air like my will to live during exams...Zero closure.. One minute I’m her "best friend" (no, I never confessed—I was happy being her friend), and the next I’m getting ghosted...Trust issues unlocked, thanks COMRADE!! lmao, I giggled writing this...
Now it’s 2025, and I’ve been hitting the gym for 4-5 months. But instead of proper technique, I’ve mastered the art of staring at walls and floors. I couldn't tell you what any girl in my gym looks like even if I'm held at gunpoint. what if they think I’m a creep for existing in their peripheral vision... Also, I look like shit... And no, don’t hit me with the “beauty is subjective” crap. I’m objectively AND subjectively ugly. It’s a scientific fact at this point, not up for debate. I understand what people mean when they say that but nuh uh.
I touch a lot of grass btw, every sunday I'm at the zoo so don't pull up w that crap either.
I know this is a me problem I’m not one of those female-hating, chronically online guy drowning in self-pity. I genuinely need to know...how do I reboot my self-esteem before I evolve into a sentient floowall-staring organism? lol
