2025.01.19 14:01 Patient-Tune-4421 Robot testing of clubs/irons
I've seen videos where they use a golf robot to test golf balls. But I can't seem to find any where they are testing clubs and irons?
Surely, this would be a solid way to test exactly how a club performs at different swing speeds, and with different types of mishits? Is it truly forgiving? Lets hit 20 balls off the toe/heel.
Do these exist, or is it just not a good idea?

2025.01.19 14:01 amfaultd Compiling PHP to JS
I’ve started work on a new hobby project of mine - transforming a PHP file to valid JavaScript, so you could write your JS directly in PHP, and not need Livewire or the like (think ClojureScript, GleamJS, KotlinJS). Am not very far in the process yet, but the idea is pretty straight forward - create a JS transformer by parsing the PHP AST tree via nikic PHP-Parser and then create a JS compiler that puts the transformed results together.
Am writing this post to see if maybe someone else has done something like it already and have some potential pointers or gotchas to share. My overall goal would be to be able to write back-end and front-end in the same language, without resorting to expensive ajax calls for computation, since ideally we don’t want PHP execution for every single time front-end loads, just compile once and cache, or compile directly to .js files.

2025.01.19 14:01 ResponsibleYogurt749 What questions do I ask?
I have an old mobile home I need to have demolished, and a new one put in its place.
Outside there is a wood pole with some type of electrical/power source, I have no idea about any of this so bare with me. Inside there’s a breaker box.
I understand these sound very 4th grade so I’m wondering how I word them to an electrician lol.
Questions -Can I disconnect power myself, or do I need an electrician to do it? -Can I have the power source upgraded to something that supports more outlets? It sparks sometimes. -If I can, what is it called?
I literally have anxiety keeping me up at night about an electrical fire, I can’t wait to get this old mobile home torn down. I have outlets burn and melt.

2025.01.19 14:01 idiotbandwidth I used to shit only twice a week before drinking water consistently
Ever since I spawned on this earth I thought that was a normal amount of times. ""Coincidentally"" that was also a time when I was dehydrated as I only drank like 3 cups of water throughout the day. Now that I keep a bottle beside me and sip from it regularly, I started paying the sewer tax daily at the relief of my colon. And before someone asks: yes, there is a correlation between drinking water and bowel movement.

2025.01.19 14:01 GreenDreamForever Harassed at a department store... again.
I was shopping in a large well known store... taking my time as is my right. Two cops start walking towards me saying they were called because I was acting like I was under the influence of drugs. We had a nice chat (I mask well). They told me they have to respond to all calls (which is BS because I've called them when there has been trouble or violence on my street and they NEVER show up). I let that statement they made slide in the interest of keeping things pleasant. They said I did not look distressed, I was not acting suspiciously when they approached me and I did not look drug affected. They said they thought the store overreacted (you f'ing reckon??) and they left me to it.
Maybe I stimmed or something. Maybe I didn't make eye contact or I didn't respond "properly" to the annoying attempts at small talk from the sales people.
I can only assume what would've happened if I didn't mask well or if I panicked or got flustered by the sight of approaching cops.
A few years ago I was asked to remove my headphones from the same chain of stores... then I was followed around and eventually asked to leave.

2025.01.19 14:01 aznpersuazion Why Vancouver has THE BEST FOOD IN NORTH AMERICA
Alright, buckle up because we're diving into why Vancouver's food scene is straight-up legendary. Forget the regular city vibes; Vancouver is a melting pot of flavors, a culinary carnival that beats anything else in North America. Join me on this personal quest to unravel why the combo of Asian influence, Pacific Northwest goodness, and chill dining vibes makes Vancouver the top pick for foodies.
Asian Culinary Delights: Tradition and Creativity Unleashed
Vancouver's streets resonate with the aromas of traditional Asian dishes, prepared with a touch of authenticity that transports you across borders. Picture slurping savory ramen in Chinatown or savoring hand-pulled noodles in a cozy corner of East Van. But what makes Vancouver's Asian food scene truly exceptional is its fusion of tradition with modern creativity.
In this city, innovation meets tradition on a plate. Take, for instance, squid ink brioche with sea urchin pâté – a daring yet harmonious blend of flavors that pushes the boundaries of culinary expectations. Vancouver's chefs are culinary artists, creating dishes that not only pay homage to traditional recipes but also elevate them into extraordinary, palate-pleasing experiences.
And let's not forget the matcha mochi croissants that have taken the city by storm. A fusion of Japanese mochi and French croissants, these delectable pastries are a testament to Vancouver's culinary diversity. Each bite is a dance of textures and tastes, showcasing the city's flair for seamlessly blending cultures and cuisines.
Pacific Northwest's Grocery List: Seafood Galore and More
Living next to the Pacific Ocean is like having a seafood aisle in your backyard. Fresh salmon, sweet Dungeness crab, and chubby spot prawns – Vancouver's seafood game is on point. And let's not forget the local veggies and meats, straight from the region's green landscapes. It's like nature’s way of saying, "Hey, enjoy the good stuff!"
Nature Vibes: Dining with a View
Vancouver's layout is like a dating app for food and nature; they're a match made in heaven. Whether you're brunching in a leafy neighborhood or devouring seafood with an ocean panorama, the city serves up an Instagrammable backdrop for every meal. Picture this: a patio, a breeze, and the scent of fir trees – eating out just got a whole lot cooler.
Neighborhood Chronicles: Culinary Adventures Off the Beaten Path
Downtown is cool, but venture out, and you'll hit foodie gold. Commercial Drive's eclectic spots or Richmond's legit Asian flavors – Vancouver's neighborhoods are like culinary treasure maps. Each area has its own flavor story, tempting you to be the food explorer you were born to be.
Conclusion
Vancouver isn't just a city with good food; it's a food fiesta waiting to happen. The Asian vibes, the Pacific Northwest's goodies, and the city's chill connection with nature make dining here a full-blown experience. Vancouver isn't just North America's food champion; it's a vibe, a journey through flavors, and a big, fat stamp on your foodie passport. So, next time you're craving a culinary adventure, Vancouver's got your back, fork, and knife.
