I’m not usually one thats interested in long distance and/or online relationships but this guy has me in a chokehold genuinely. He and I began talking as friends in a discord server and immediately clicked and got closer and closer as days went by. I didn’t realize how things were going then suddenly we were in some sort of talking stage naturally, this was until he decided he wanted time for himself to focus on school and his self image to which I respected and agreed despite the sadness it brought me since well just like anyone else its natural to feel upset losing someone in that sense. Everything has been fine but theres one thing I keep thinking about and hadn’t brought up to him. He is 18 and I am 18 in a few days. When I joined the server we met in I had less than 2 months until I was going to turn 18 but I selected the 18-19 role because well I was bordering from 17 to 18 soon so it just made sense at the time in my head to go with that as I had no reason to be concerned since I wasn’t interacting with anyone in there in any flirty or non-platonic way so it just wasn’t a thought I had in my head at all really. Back to the guy, although we aren’t talking in that way anymore we are going to meet in a couple months and I do hope something comes of our relationship when he’s ready but I don’t want to continue/start something serious if I am not honest and I do not want to lose his trust or anything. I’m aware I could have said something sooner but it was just not something that was brought up or anything and I just want things to be clear I don’t want to ruin his image of me but I’m not sure if this is that serious to him I really have no clue. He’s a very understanding person and he’s extremely good at hearing me out but I just don’t know when the right time is to say something because I don’t see the point in waiting but my birthday is soon and I know he will wish me a good one and I don’t know how to go about mentioning this or even what to say. I am aware that I was lying in all actuality even if I wasn’t actively putting it out there that I was 18 but I know he thinks I’m turning 19 not 18. Sorry if I seem like a shit person also this is my first time posting here I just want advice on how I should go about talking to him about it.

Emergency call out for a top of shaft smoke. Another company came out yesterday and bypassed the point. I can’t get into basic programming to disable NACs or relays. The google machine told me it’s a 4 digit number and I’ve tried all 1’s, all 2’s and all 3’s. Any ideas?

2025.01.19 16:50 Hypothian Got this rug off the side of the road, any ideas how to clean it?
I have never cleaned a rug in my life and considering this was a free rug, ideally Id like to spend as little as possible in the cleaning process. There are lots of little stains and a few bigger areas. I am not too concered with eliminating all the stains so much as I am with just making it clean enough to bring in the house. Thanks!

2025.01.19 16:50 Grimmportent Anyone played an Illrigger in the Hells?
Greetings all!
Currently playing in a Descent/Chains game (level 13 atm)where my GM has added the option to play as an Illrigger.
I love the flavor of the class and especially like the idea of playing it in the Hells, my character recently failed some death saving throws and was contacted. If you know you know.
Long of the short, a lot of the Illrigger's abilities seem to revolve around fire or necrotic damage. The hells seem like a place where these damage types will be frequently resisted, etc
Has anyone played an Illrigger in the hells? And if so, how was your experience in regards to things regularly resisting your seals & infernal conduit?
Thanks in advance for any and all information. I'm trying to avoid overly meta gaming, but don't want to sabotage the next 3 or 4 months of play.

2025.01.19 16:50 FlyingCarsArePlanes Function key on Logitech Ergo K860 not registering
I'm running OSX Sequoia and have the above mentioned keyboard. I've had to remap my modifier keys, which has been relatively straightforward with Event Viewer and the application itself.
However, the Fn key on the keyboard doesn't register at all in the Event Viewer. I can't remap it because it doesn't do anything.
I realize this is not a Karabiner issue, per se, but I figured that this was as good a subreddit as any to get help with my issue. Any idea why it's not registering any events when pressed?

Just updated game, took out mods/saves/tray before updated then ran the game and had no problem. Now that I put my mods back in this pop up gets me the color wheel when I try to x out of it. I’ve noticed the x button is all messed up though. Wondering if that’s happening to anyone else?

A bit of context, I was playing on this rpg forum (in french, I'm bilingual) back in 2002-2009 in the old internet days.
It died a long time ago and now I'm feeling nostalgia from the setting which also introduced me to writing in the first place. I have fond memories. Miraculously it is still online in 2025 but deserted.
I wonder if it would be possible to rebuild it elsewhere and revive it even without the original staff and privy to knowledge of the setting.. but the original structure of it is there, the backstory posts, etc. Minus the image templates which I have no experience with.
So I'm wondering, and yes I'm aware this is probably the closest to stupid yet non stupid question.. how do I preserve what's left, and would it be possible to recreate and advertise it, or maybe build a version in the future loosely based on the original? Had a few ideas but I also suck at graphic design, I only write and can't find templates for forums with that old 2000s vibe, the gifs, etc so it feels authentic.
Tldr what should I do, try to remake it as close to the original, make an inspired forum, preserve what's left?
