Can anyone give a current TLDR simplified summary of the bambu situation in regard to them locking down software?
All I’ve been able to gather is that they are closing their API to connect printers to third party slicers in the name of “security”?
I’m kind of an idiot and a lot of these posts have been sporadic and I feel like I’m jumping into the middle of a convo that I have zero context into. I’m new to 3D printing and just got an A1 mini for christmas.

Bonjour!
Je m'apprête à terminer mon DEC en Informatique ce printemps avec un stage restant pour l'été. Je me demande déjà dans quel branche des TI me spécialiser pour les années à venir et la sécurité m'intéresse beaucoup.
Le problème, c'est que je ne suis pas sûr dans quelle direction aller. Je visualise les chemins potentiels de la façon suivante:
- Aller au BAC en Info à l'ETS, faire quelques stages en entreprise et accumuler de l'expérience en sautant d'un poste à l'autre (Help Desk, SysAdmin, Opérateur dans un SOC, PenTester, etc.).
- Rester avec un DEC et simplement accumuler de l'expérience tout en allant chercher des certifications (CCNA, CISSP et autres).
L'impression que j'ai, c'est qu'il faut avoir une base solide en réseautique et en développement d'applications. Pratiquer avec des défis CtF et des compétitions de piratage peuvent être d'excellents moyens de développer ses aptitudes.
