I’m gearing up for a ski trip and trying to decide between using Hot Hands toe warmers or investing in heated socks to keep my feet warm. I’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve used either (or both). • Hot Hands Toe Warmers: Cheap and disposable, but are they effective for a full day on the mountain? • Heated Socks: Are there any good options under $100? That’s the top of my budget, so I’m wondering if it’s worth it or if I’m better off sticking with toe warmers.
If you have any pros/cons for either, or personal experiences, I’d really appreciate it. Staying warm is key! Thanks!

 | Water once or twice a week, depending on how dry it is. Soil is miracle grow or fox farms (I can’t quite remember) and was repotted last spring. I have a photo showing how close it is to the nearest window (it’s also near a heating vent if that matters). I’ve had the plant for 6 years now and just noticed the leaves discoloring a week or so ago. We had spider mites that I just managed to get rid of a month or so ago, I used neem oil to treat all my plants, along with soapy water (I alternated between the neem oil and soapy water). I recently got into Pokemon and love buying packs to rip, both for the pulls AND all the other cool cards.
I’ve settled on putting everything in penny sleeves, but now I’m getting to have a lot of them and want a good way to store them and organize them. Where does everyone who actually likes opening their packs put their cards afterward? My daughter likes to sort them by type but I also have thought about sorting by individual Pokemon or by set. What’s the most fun and easy to use?
My primary goal is good storage but organizing options would be great too.
I’ve thought of cards-still-in-sleeves into binders, but that really only seems like a good choice once they are all organized and won’t move around again too much (otherwise it feels like it’ll be a pain to pull the cards in and out of a binder again and again).
I have maybe 1000 cards at this point. Might try to grade some one day, but mostly enjoy just opening them and putting the ones I really like in perfect fit KMC sleeves and then Ultra One-Touch hard cases. I bought some top loaders too that sometimes I double sleeve cards into. I also tried buying some card savers as that’s what PSA recommends for grading, just like to practice or try something different.
I’m open to any option people love. Really I just want to keep my cards nice, consolidated, and organized.

As someone who has been absolutely enamored with Atlus' works (especially Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Etrian Odyssey), I’m currently developing my own dungeon-crawling RPG, Further Down, and while it leans heavily into Etrian Odyssey-inspired mechanics, aesthetically (like floating menus) I'm taking from the whole Metaphor / Persona / SMT games.
Previously, I reached out to other RPG-focused communities (including Wizardry) to gather thoughts through surveys, and the feedback and support have been things I could only ever dream of. So I thought, why not also do the same to my other beloved game series and hear from this community about what makes Metaphor and similar games so special to you:
- What hooks you about the lore and worldbuilding in these games?
- Are there gameplay features (tactical combat, social mechanics, class customization, etc.) that stand out as essential to your experience?
