Unfortunately I didn't finish reading a whole lot of books in 2024, as I kept reading on & off. I have a hard time fitting reading into my schedule, due to feeling like I should be doing other important tasks besides reading for fun, if that makes sense.
I'm wondering how long it usually takes someone to read a self-help book, while taking notes too. For example, I've still been reading 'Atomic Habits'. I want to make sure I'm learning & absorbing the information well but don't want to keep taking unnecessarily too long to finish. I've been reading the same 3 books (a fictional book, memoir, & the self-help book) for several months now.

I just got to the part where Amy got promoted to manager and had her salary announced to the whole store. I'm happy for Amy because she deserves it despite of how she got the job from Laurie. I'm just so pissed at how everyone is acting towards her now like they didn't literally encourage her to take the job???
I am especially annoyed with Chayenne's behavior towards Amy after finding out how much she's getting. I get feeling bitter because of the pay gap but being a complete asshole to Amy is so uncalled for. Especially when Amy's always been looking out for her.
That's all I just wanted to say I'm pissed. lol

 | There was something about playing on bn that always seemed off to me. It just didn't feel the same as steam (when the version was not broken and I disabled steam overlay). The input latency and overall game feel was much better on steam and the xbox app. I am referring to cod here. Well, I might have just figured out why. This is without bn vs with battlenet. For some reason which is unknown to me. Battlenet causes interrupt spikes of up to 4500 in random intervals. This could be perceived as network lag by someone who dosent know what this is and this is what I thought as well for a while. Mind you, this is with a fully maxed out z790 platform paired with a 14900k. Cores are locked, voltages are locked and static. C States, speed shift, etc are all disabled. Core parking is disabled. My cpu runs at a constant pace 24/7. Even the ring clock is locked. Check out my results. For most people that spike would be of up to 15k or even higher. Which very well WILL result in hard game stutters, input latency variations, and an overall poor gaming experience and perhaps even crashes? I hope this has been helpful. My girlfriend moved out of her mom's house 2 years ago because her mom and her mom's boyfriend were extremely toxic. Her mom only checks in with her kapag may ipapabili or manghihingi ng pera. Minsan mangungutang pa kuno mom niya sakin kahit alam kong hindi naman babayaran. My girlfriend even referred her mom to a job (ni refer niya sa client niya), a job her mom had been dreaming of for a long time: work-from-home with a salary paid in dollars, which is 4x higher than what she earned as a call center agent. Nagtataka kami saan napupunta yung pera ng mom niya. It’s literally just her stepdad and her mom now, (thankfully walang kapatid girlfriend ko) ni hindi nanghihingi kahit piso yung girlfriend ko sakanya.
When my girlfriend was diagnosed with diabetes, nagkanda utang utang kami because of hospital bills and meds. Pero nung binalita namin yun sa mom niya - putangina nagpapaawa sa amin na magpa deliver naman daw kami ng food sakanya kasi nagkaroon din daw siya ng lagnat.
When my girlfriend was living with her mom, at the age of 18, as in kaka birthday niya palang, naghanap na agad siya ng work kasi nga hindi na raw siya kayang paaralin ng mom niya. Pero may pang gastos yung mom niya sa stepdad na walang silbi, binibilhan pa ng branded na shoes, na bilhan pa talaga ng brandnew na motor! Yung sahod ng girlfriend ko that could have been used for her tuition fees ended up being used sa bills and food nila kasi siya na ang inexpect mag step up to do that. Meanwhile, yung boyfriend, hindi maobliga kahit piso sa sahod.
When my girlfriend and I entered the freelancing world, yung nanay niya, umalis ng trabaho kasi raw she was burned out na and asked if my girlfriend could take over for her. Pinagbigyan siya ng girlfriend ko, 7 months hindi nag work yung nanay niya at sagot ng partner ko lahat, kahit ako tumutulong para masuportahan mom niya. When my girlfriend finally got her mom a good WFH job, she thought the constant requests for money would stop. But no - pota kumuha ng brandnew car na hulugan, iphone, at house and lot. Ending? pag short nanay niya, kami ang tatakbuhan at uutangan.
Natalo pa kami na 6 figures ang sahod pero hindi pa kumukuha ng sasakyan at bahay. Nakapag throw ng birthday party yung mom niya sa aso niya nung nag 1 year old, like bongga talaga na party with souvenir and catering shit at marami pang bisita. But when my live-in partner had her birthday, her mom made her pay for the gift COD through LBC WTFFFFF
Actually, this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many more nightmares that her mom has put my girlfriend through.
