 | The other day I was visiting Golconda forte (Hyderabad) and there was an old barrel of Cannon (Top, तोप) was lying in the open and I got curious if it's made of iron so doesn't it rust, so I just rubbed it with the tip of my shoes a little to see if there's rust. There was a guy nearby who got offended and said that there's Arabic written on it so don't touch it with feet. I couldn't stop a bit of laugh and said "you know that it's probably written 'Cannon(तोप)' or the name of the maker, right?" He was like it doesn't matter as long as it is Arabic. I mean it's just a fucking language or English or Hindi or whatever. I wanted to say to him that "you know that you're not Arabic, right? You ancestor were probably Hindus or some other animist archaic religion followers who probably were forced to convert to Islam, right?". But I thought that this guy isn't someone who listens to reason, so I didn't say anything. This incident reminded me of some story I heard from a Pakistani scholar long back (maybe Tarek Fateh or someone else) who was discussing the same point and telling a story that he took his wife for Haj and his wife kissed Arabic written on a door, and he told her laughing that it was written "toilet" in Arabic. What is this fetish with Arabian culture? I mean you could follow a religion, if you really want to, and not be from the place where the religion was born. Not all Christians and Jews from Jerusalem. It is like they hate their roots and are ashamed of it. I just want to find such a person who thinks he is of Arabic heritage and his ancestors came to India to settle, and bet him to get his DNA checked for ancestry and if he is more Arabic than me (born in "Brahmin" family, that too in Varanasi) then I would pay for it. 2025.01.19 16:25 Low_Cicada_8818 Bizarre & Perverted Facebook Recommendations.. Anyone else experiencing?
So recently I have noticed that when scrolling on Facebook, not only is 80% of what I am seeing not from anyone that I follow, but a lot of it is also either AI generated rubbish, or perverted news headlines about how many men an OF worker can sleep with in one day. As a woman who does not engage in content of this kind, I am left completely and utterly puzzled as to why this is happening, and will probably delete the app. I have tried researching why this is happening but found nothing; has anyone else got any information as to why Meta is shoving this content down our throats?

Hi all, we come to St. Croix once or twice a year for the last 10 years, and with my two favorite restaurants, Salt and 40 strand being closed, I was hoping maybe there were some recommendations of places we haven't tried yet? We do Savant and Hamilton's every year and are always very happy with them. We drove out to AMA last year and while the view was unbelievable, the food was lacking. We've also done Bombay club, which is just meh, Duggan's is ok. Some of our favorite low-key spots are Rhythms, castaways, Chicken shack, Roti day at Domino Club, Landings at Cane bay. When we are out walking in in Christiansted there always seems to be a number of tucked away restaurants that I'm not sure of the names of and haven't tried, and we don't go to Fredericksted much so maybe some recommendations in those areas but open anything I didn't list. Also, has anyone gone to the restaurant that was put in at Bluewater Terrace, how is that? Can't wait to be back in February and thank you in advance!

She deleted a save file that held our family in it so that she could remake them in a save file that has a family I made in it, so they can be friends. She forgot I had a separate family in the same save file and now they are gone. That was the first family I made it father in the game with. I had a cat, they were married and they had 2 kids that had great skills. That was all a first for me. I just don't know how to feel because I can never get them back and it's the second time I've lost the man in that family

i’m considering leaving my rug out overnight (between 0 and -2 degrees celsius) in snow in order to kill dust mites due to severe allergies, but i see a lot of people spanking or brushing their rugs with brooms. is that necessary or is it enough to just leave it in snow to "disinfect" and then vacuum it when it’s dry? i currently am not in a state for that much physical labor considering the area rug is pretty large and i’m battling a fever from sinusitis.

I (30) female have been married to my wife (31) female for close to 8 years , but have been together for over 10 years. My wife is in the military and has constantly been gone on and off for months a at a time throughout the year. All of these trips has allowed her to be in a position to promote early each time. I’ve never once tried to stop her from achieving her goals. Each time a promotion comes we have to move to a new state or a new country, and each time i try to make the best of it. The more we do it though, the harder it’s getting for me. As hard as it is for me I have a hard time not comparing the fact that I can never progress with a company because I leave after 13-18 months. Even with all the moving , I’ve been good at marketing myself and secured myself a director position for the company that i work for. Recently, since our last move, I’ve had some very honest conversations with her about how i feel very distant and i at times have issues accepting our situation. We haven’t been intimate (emotionally or physical) since 2022. Each time i bring it up, i get told that me continuing to ask to be intimate just makes her have more pressure on her and not wanting to do anything. So I’ve resolved myself to just not asking to initiate anything because I’m tired of rejection. I haven’t told anyone of the issues that we have in our marriage. Not even a therapist. I told her that things needed to change or i would consider having to make changes. I never once said divorce. I’m having the hardest time at the moment overcoming small things and i just feel like im always compromising something. Right now she’s at a training out of state and I decided to go visit her and make a trip out of it. It’s been great, hanging out but i just don’t feel attracted to her and there are things that just really can’t overcome. Today is my last full day here with her and we did a trip to Salem. I’ve been dying to see Salem for years. I’ve been super excited but at breakfast in trying to make conversation with her she said something that really hurt my feelings. When i told her that she was being rude, her response was that it’s not rude. You wouldn’t understand the technicality of this conversation so i see no point in talking about it. I was literally so upset that she even said that to me. I know that I’m not don’t work in the technical field but that doesn’t mean i can’t try to research and understand topics. Long story short i told her that I should be the one to make the decision on whether or not something is too technical for me. This blew way out of proportions and it became about me treating her like an asshole because i was being cold towards her. I wasn’t feeling like i was being cold, i just didn’t really want to start any conversations. My feelings were hurt. We made it Salem and have been here maybe 30 minutes had another argument I asked to go home. I would rather just go home and come back to Salem without her than be with her at the moment.
All of this made me realize that im basically the one who’s always making conversations and ok the one who’s always giving in to things even though my feelings are the one that are hurt. I feel like I’ve given up so much of my life for her careers , for her and i don’t get anything in return. Being financially taken care of means nothing, if i don’t have anything else taken care of …idk anyways AITAH for wanting to just file for a divorce over this Happening?

The update sealed the deal for me. Those who know me know that I’ve spent a pretty penny on this game. It didn’t bother me because I enjoyed it for reasons I’ve explained before. However, the recent update has left a terrible taste in my mouth and after looking into it, I was able to get a hefty sized refund through the (apple) App Store. It doesn’t cover everything I’ve spent the last year but it was time to call it. There were sooo many things that they could’ve improved, expanded, streamlined, but instead I got set back for all my toils. Nobody asked for a micro-managed base. If I wanted to play one of the other million CoC look a-likes I would’ve picked one of those. I wish everyone in this community the be at of luck, and maybe we’ll run into each other on another sub. Duece’s!

Hello!
I've been playing the Wii ever since the ripe old age of 3, got mine in 2006 and have been using the same console since!
I seem to be having problems with the Wiimote speakers though! I have two Wiimotes, one of then came with the console in 2006, the other was bought on eBay about 4-5 years ago and was mint, was rarely ever used.
I noticed that when playing Mario Galaxy 2, the sounds that play through the Wiimote speaker, like collecting starbits, shooting starbits, spinning Mario, using a jump star, etc vary from sounding how they should, to be either delayed and crackly, or just flat-out crackly and unlegible. I tested this on both my controllers and it's the same story.
Was this just an issue these had since 2006 because of old technology techniques, or do I have a problem with my speakers in my Wiimotes?
