2025.01.19 17:42 TheWorldTheOyster 2014 Limited Suspension upgrade options?
So I’m nearing 112,000 miles and thinking that it’s probably time to look into refreshing the crosstrek with some replacements/upgrades.
I’d like to do a 2” lift and just go ahead and replace the strut/spring assembly instead of messing with spacers. I figure the stock suspension is not worth saving.
A couple things I prioritize with a car is a comfort and utility, and don’t intend to do crazy trails but would like some better off-roading capability while retaining a comfortable ride. So any suggestions on kits/brands would go a long way for me.
And while Im at it replacing these components, any other things like linkages or upgrades for braking and suspension that you recommend would be appreciated.
Please feel free to add any other worthwhile upgrades that you feel made a big difference for you. Whether cosmetic or utility, I’m all ears.
Couple upgrades I have intended are EKR seat covers, tuxmat floor mats, sound deadening along the floor and trunk area (doors are done), and eventually will gut the cheap audio system I have in there and update it with new speakers, amp, dsp, brackets and baffles, and wiring.

 | Yes, I built a cockpit simulator of the Arwing. It's a work in progress that needs a few more doodads and such to be 100% complete. Things like a throttle quadrant, joystick, light up switches, etc need to be added. Eventually it will have a plexiglass canopy and a rear wall but for now I wanted to have easy entry and exit for friends and family who want to go "fly". Long term goal (probably 3-4 years away) is incorporate the cockpit into a simplistic but approximate "full size" Arwing... Nose, Engine Nacelle, Blue G-Diffusers, and wings included. I just beat this mod for fallout 2 and it was just a whole new game, even took a lil longer than fallout 1 did for me. More ppl should try this one out, its not as hard as everyone says. I think I struggled a lil more with fallout 2 a few weeks ago actually. Anyway I loved this and I'm loving og fallouts. I'm here for any recommendations of other total conversion mods for 1 or 2.
