Hi everyone,
I occasionally cat sit and often leave bowls with dried wet food to soak in a soap solution overnight before scrubbing and reusing them. My (limited) understanding of microbiology suggests that bacteria wouldn’t grow in the soapy water because soap disrupts phospholipid bilayers and traps contaminants in micelles.
However, I’m curious—could bacteria still grow in a mixture of food residue and soap? If so, how long would it typically take for growth to occur?

- Unnecessary checks: I feel like checking each booking should not be the way and there is a better more efficient way to check only a subset of the booking?
- Performance issues: As the number of resources and bookings grows, this approach might not scale well.

Hello everyone,
So I’ve been getting these marks for a little over a year now (I’ve had some before, but now I get a new one every couple of days). So it starts off with a tiny pimple and then gets big to the point that it has liquid in it, like a boil. In the past, I’ve let it be and let it drain itself, but it’s hard to deal with this every day, so I tried finding a solution for this. I did some research and saw a lot of people recommended Hibiclens. I use that now to clean the area but still don’t really see a difference. As the boil is starting to form, I’ve been using Polysporin, and that seems to not let it get to the point that it hurts.
I do not shave my legs with a razor. I use a trimmer to shave them. I’ve also noticed that I’ve been getting a lot of ingrown hair, and when I try to pluck it out, it does the same thing and becomes a boil. All these boils seem to settle down at some point but leave marks. The photos I’ve attached show the aftermath and what the marks look like, which leaves me feeling very insecure.
I’d love to know if someone is aware of what this could be and how to get rid of it and what’s a good way to get rid of my scars if possible. Appreciate the help in advance.

Hi all. I'm 18F and I've been struggling with my apperance my whole life. Starting from 4th grade, I've NEVER had a friend who didn't pick on my apperance. My role in friendships/social circles was to always be the lesser one, the uglier one, the one who the "losers" look at to feel better about themselves.
I've received many comments about how I look like an alien, how my hair's ugly, that I look like I have an ED, am too flat, chicken legs, look like a man, etc, etc.. (I'm 5'10, no curves, 120lbs, and have thin frizzy unruly hair.) I went to online school because of it. And when I reentered into public high school.. it was the same thing. Expect I had 1 friend instead of 5 bullying me.😢
Don't get me started on anything romantic.. I'm wholly unattractive so the only people who "like" me are old pedophilic creeps.
The only thing that I guess is "positive" is I have people.. mostly women, 'complimenting' me often. But frankly, these comments sometimes feel like they're doing charity service. They will over exaggerate, be like "don't let anyone tell you you aren't beautiful" or like, "you're ACTUALLY pretty". I even had this coworker say "I think your the prettiest person here" (in front of customers..cringy) and later went on to mock me by saying that people had crushes on me, then admitted they didn't(not that I ever belived her..)...
It's like people are either trying to covertly bully me or signal they're a good person.🙄
Also, with compliments, I feel like because I have a very weird, jarring face.. this is people's way of processing it without being 'rude'. I posted to a rateme site and got 7-8.5(highest rating, submitted multiple different sets of photos so.) but had people telling me that they couldn't figure out wheter or not I was "conventially attractive".. or making comments like Hey.. I find you pretty - but I don't think other people would.😭 🔫
+ It's very hard to trust other people. I had this one dude say he liked my curly hair, but rated pics of my straight hair higher than pics with my curly hair. He didn't recongize me LOL. And when he complimented my hair, he said "I hope that didn't offend"... I'm ALWAYS getting weird comments like this btw.
I just don't know how I'm supposed to live with my face/body? I feel like it'd be abnormal if I could function in society looking the way I do. I can't develop any genuine, nice relationships (platonic including) because people constantly see me as below them or strange/ED'd looking.. but people also lie and sugarcoat it at the same time. It's extremely confusing.
I'm not in school/working because of these issues, and I just want to know if it's all in my head because I feel like I'm getting GASLIT to high hell.

So I am still getting my head round what is definite and what is indefinite in sentences. I think I do have an ok grasp of it for the most part, but there are some examples that I don't understand.
One being why is 'Do you love me?' translated to 'Szeretsz engem?' and not 'Szereted engem?'. I thought this would be the '-d' suffix because you are referring to if you love one specific person. Or is more like you are asking if you love the person overall?
