So, I got to know that the people I thought were my real mum and dad are actually my mama and mami, and my real mum and dad were referred to as bua and fufa. I found this out when I was in the 12th standard, and ever since then, I’ve been getting panic attacks. Initially, the attacks were minor, but over the past year, the situation has worsened. I’ve been getting panic attacks very frequently. I am unable to have this conversation with my parents, or with my uncle and aunt, to ask them why they didn’t tell me the truth. Also, I wasn’t treated well as a child, which led to a trauma that still haunts me. To make things worse, my long-term girlfriend broke up with me recently. We had been in a relationship since class 7, and it lasted until December 2024. But on January 1st, she messaged me, saying she wanted to break up. I don’t know what I did wrong. I don’t know why everyone is abandoning me. I am 23, living in Delhi, shy, and introverted—which I wasn’t before, but all these things changed me. I am alone and have no one to talk to. I feel like a failure. Everyone in my family is doing well in their careers, and I feel the pressure, but I’m unable to cope with it. I work in Gurgaon, my salary is low. I have a decent years of experience, but nothing is working out. I’m not happy with my work, not happy with my salary. I’ve been trying to get a new job and have applied to many places, but I haven’t heard back,not even a call for an interview. I don’t know what’s happening to me. I feel like everything is over. I can’t do anything in life anymore. I feel like a failure.

2025.01.19 19:52 Nythern As a Manga-hater, I've been converted!
I am an anime fan - Naruto, Attack On Titan, Vinland Saga, you name it. I've seen many shows but have never once read any Manga, because I have always felt that it's just not for me. With that said, I finished seasons 1 and 2 of the Tokyo Ghoul anime and felt like I needed more. I am obsessed, I'm like a ghoul who needs to feed (on more content). I wasn't ready to end my experience with this story, and everyone on this sub always says to read the manga because the anime did such a terrible job at adapting the story... so I finally did it. My conclusion after reading volume 1? It's amazing, I never thought that I could actually enjoy reading colourless comics.
But I have a question... do you prefer reading online or in the paper book form?
I tried both with volume 1, reading the first few chapters online before buying volume 1 in paper form, and I think I prefer reading online. It's free, I can scroll through it much quicker than I can turn pages of a book, it's more comfortable for me and the words and pictures are much larger on my screen than on paper. However, I noticed that the online manga translations are slightly different to the book. More importantly, the book had a "bonus chapter" which (spoiler alert for vol 1) explained the story behind the dude who got his head kicked off ("boom") by Nishiki in the alleyway for feeding in his territory. These are precisely the details I wanna read about. I want to know EVERYTHING that there is to Tokyo Ghoul, and it seems that the paper manga books are the best way to do that with these bonus chapters and official translation?
What would you say is the best medium for the manga?

Could use some insight into two open box units. I would mainly use the computer for WFH zoom, teams, office 360, Google workspace, consuming video and browsing the web with way too many tabs open.
Leaning towards 15” Air for the bigger screen but I like the M4 battery life, efficiency and the speakers. I do some traveling and somewhat concerned about the 15” on a plane. Not sure if the M4 efficiency and single core performance is a big enough advantage over extra ram on the M3.
Currently have a base m1 air on its last legs. Sad to see the wedge design gone.

Hey all -
I’m looking to start a shrimp tank but need help figuring out how to manage the water parameters for them. Testing out of the tap with the API Freshwater master and their GH/KH kits show:
PH: 7.8 GH: 3 KH: 2
If I’m understanding correctly, anything I do to increase GH/KH would have an effect on the PH but it already seems rather alkaline and I’m worried about pushing it higher. Any insights would be really helpful!
For shrimp specifically it seems RO water reminarilized may be best but I also have a 30gal that has some snails and shrimp that would likely benefit from harder water and I’d prefer not to have to stock a ton of RO water for that tank as well. (We rent so installing my own system seems to be dangerously close to a lease violation)

2025.01.19 19:52 Beet-your-meet My weight loss is causing problems with my wife
A little back story first. We have been married 20 years and have 3 kids. We have had some issues recently that were related to communication and intimacy. I told her how unhappy I was but she was blindsided. We have done some couples therapy and are trying to work through it.
Also in this time I quit drinking and started dieting and exercising. I have lost 45 lbs so far. This has motivated me more as my clothes are fitting again and i am looking and feeling better.
My wife has struggled with her weight and possible eating disorders on and off for years. Couple that with our recent trouble in our marriage it is causing her to feel anxious and worry that I am only doing this to prepare to leave her which is not the case.
She says that I am obsessed with this and my method of weight loss CICO with exercise is causing her to feel this way. In the past she used this method which her therapist said she obsessed over and cautioned her against it.
I don’t want to upset my wife but I also don’t want to give up the progress I have made. When she sees me measuring or reading nutrition facts it frequently caused tension.
Any suggestions?

hey all, hoping someone can clear my confusion. I plan on calling MOHELA tomorrow.
I’m one of the people that submitted an application for SAVE but it didn’t get processed because of the stuff going on. I called to request forbearance twice already. I have received two correspondences from MOHELA stating I am being put in forbearance on 10/25/24 and 12/21/24 due to SAVE being on hold but now they’re saying I have a past due and upcoming payment due.
do I call and request more forbearance? I can’t afford the payments. I’m confused why I have payments due.
