Before anyone says it, I have a rivet style master link on the way.
The first clip lasted about 8,000 miles, the second less than 1,000.
Clips were installed in the proper orientation, completely seated, and there's nothing that rubs that side of the chain. What's odd to me is the wear on the link plate, indicating there was movement between the plate and clip. Any ideas?

I (27F) was dating a guy (25M) I met on a dating app for three months. Things were moving fast, and he started pushing for commitment. I wasn’t ready and asked for a bit more time to figure things out, but he got impatient and suddenly ghosted me. When I confronted him about it, he denied ghosting me and gave no real explanation.
A few days later, I found out he was back on the dating app where we met. When I confronted him, he lied and completely denied it. At that point, we called it off, but during our final argument, he targeted my insecurities, calling me “weak” and saying he deserved better.
Fast forward a month, and he comes back apologizing, blaming his “friends” for making the account and asking for another chance. I decided to check if he was lying by creating a fake account, and, surprise, it was actually him. When I confronted him, he became narcissistic again, calling me fat and dumb.
To top it off, he ended by saying he never liked me and that I was just “timepass,” calling me fat and a “dumbfuck.” That’s when I completely lost it and called him to give him a piece of my mind.
I shouldn’t, but I still miss the good times. And I kinda feel pathetic for abusing him in the end. I don’t know how to stop thinking about him. I knew he was younger than me, but I didn’t expect this level of immaturity.
I know it’s over, but this whole experience has left me feeling drained and questioning my self-worth. Did I handle this wrong, or was he just a toxic manipulative jerk?

Some things I liked, Seena and Rezkin's relationship, him and Azeria's blooming and tragic situation. Addition of personal portal maker was convenient but it works to save time instead of making the book 1000 pages long I guess.
killing off travel almost entirely hurt book 6 even more than 5 imo. "weeks passed", "days passed", etc, read that waaay too much, so much time skips and dialogue/character dev chances skimmed over, GoT season 7-8 vibes.
as with Book 5, certain events that should have been giving pages and pages of dialogue and interactions just glossed over, events or things happen and move on, almost felt nothing for a majority of the book and it made me so upset.
I totally understand having so many characters and subplots and not enough pages to cover it all, but it really feels like 3.5/4 of the cast just vanished in books 5-6, especially 6.
What prompted this post, other than a general need to share my opinion/rant. Malcius and Yesseria. I audibly groaned when that happened. it was going soooo good for me, it was building to a "he's stuck with her and after all their adventures together and her accomplishments, he's caught feelings and feels guilty since she was Palis's". It was a tad rushed for my liking but it was still good, and then the absolute shattering "I've loved you since the start" troupe was used and it literally ruined all vibes for me lol, killed any feelings I had that was building with their interactions.
The ending was fine I suppose? Him being Uruvay was interesting but it raises more questions and they never address it, was it just a disguise he took over and he was the man the whole time, if so, how did he know where Frisha and Threeson were?
people said book 6 was "better" than 5 but I found it to be the opposite, whereas 5 was somewhat middle ground, 6 just went off the deep end of the things I didn't vibe with in 5. some parts were still good but man...
Obviously still looking forward to the rest of the story, craving them even, still my most beloved series, especially 2-3, but somehow, I wish She just goes crazy and makes the book like 1000 pages long so she has no rush or trouble fitting everything and everyone in.

2025.01.19 23:15 your-weapon-is-guilt Shinji Ikari is not a little pussy, he is a great protagonist for his show (Neon Genesis Evangelion 1995)
Shinji is a very controversial character, and in some ways I understand why of course.. but people who say he "cries too much" genuinely need to get their empathy in check. Shinji is a little boy with no parents, extreme trauma, an inappropriate guardian and he is constantly manipulated into piloting his eva. Of course he is going to cry. Also im not sure why everyone ignores the fact that the pilots literally feel pain when piloting. Grown ass adults would cry if they had to, yet they still think Shinji is just a pussy. I have the same problem with the "Asuka is just a bitch" take because she is equally as traumatized with no support. The hate for these traumatized middle school aged characters is so disheartening to me. They are both just kids. Asuka isn't what society wants from girls/women because she is assertive and people cannot handle that, and Shinji isnt what society wants from boys/men because he is "too emotional". They both don't fit traditional gender roles and I think this has a lot to do with the hate they receive.
Now obviously Shinji is NOWHERE near perfect, and he has done very bad things (hospital scene for instance) but ultimately he is a child in an extremely fucked up situation, he doesnt know how to cope. If we look into the situations not long before eoe, shinji had been stuck in the eva for an entire month AND lost his body for a while, he was forced to crush Toji and almost killed him, Rei ll and Kaji both just died (and he finds out rei is a clone of his dead mother who is easily replaceable) asuka runs away and attempts suicide, and he questions his sexuality when he meets kaworu only to be forced to kill him shortly after. And the very next day there is an end of the world situation and hes practically catatonic.
Even though Shinji cries and has done bad things, this doesnt make him a bad character. Shinji is not even a bad person, hes a broken child who never received the love he needed. His flaws are what make him so human. For a show about the struggles of human connection, depression, loneliness, anxiety and trauma, Shinji Ikari is a great protagonist. Evangelion wouldnt be what it is without him.

On the night of April 25, 2013, a Bombardier DHC 8 airplane operated by the U.S. Customs & Border Protection followed and filmed an object over Rafael Hernández airport, Aguadilla (Puerto Rico). The object at times seemed to disappear (which was interpreted by some ufologists as "splashing into the ocean") and also split into two pieces. Rubén Lianza, a retired Commodore with the Argentine Air Force, and then Head of the Argentina's Center for Aerospace Identification, investigated the incident and produced a report. The report is available here: http://www.ipaco.fEN_IFO_B_heart_130425.pdf
His team concluded that the "UFO is a wind-driven object" that is "unmistakably manufactured in the shape of a heart" with a "truncated bottom" and "circular air intake positioned below candles". The report says that the object is comprised of two such tethered balloons, and that such "heart-shaped hot air balloons are released tied in pairs during wedding parties".
Lianza's team then identified nearby companies which sell pairs of lantern balloons in the shape of hearts. Using historical weather records, and the direction of the wind on the night in question (it was blowing from the East North-East quadrant), he determined that the balloons were like released from Mansion Hacienda Villa Bonita, less than 10 km South East of the airport.
"There are also many Beach Resorts where wedding parties take place," the report goes on to say, and points out that many sell packages in which guests release wedding lanterns, balloons or combinations of the two. The Villa Montana Beach, which contains resorts which offer these releases, and which is upwind from the Airport, is mentioned as another likely place of origin.
The "Scientific Coalition for Ufology" would release a rebuttal of Lianza's report. But ALL of their information on the case is second hand testimony, and to their embarrassment their chief second hand source (or perhaps his son) runs a YouTube page which features Chinese Lanterns labelled as UFOs!

Using positional data, the report concludes that "a straight-line path can account for the object’s movement over the entire duration of the video" and that "the object moved in a simple and naturally explicable way following the wind direction and speed at the time of the event".
Despite having no evidence that the Aguadilla Object constitutes an exotic piece of technology, UFO True Believers have used it to fuel an entire UFO subgenre. This subgenre invents phrases like "trans medium craft", USOs (unidentified submerged objects), trans environmental fastwalkers and so on, and is typically linked to other aspects of UFO lore, including underwater alien bases, underwater civilizations, or claims that aliens use water as an energy source, or the oceans to hide from man. In this way the UFO mythology expands and gains complexity, despite no actual evidence having being gained. I have a bulk tank in my pick up that I rarely use. We had to fill up a few machines at work the other day so we used mine and it came out brown (6+ months in the tank). Added clean diesel, biokleen and some anti gel as well as fresh fuel. Now it’s looking like Mountain Dew with a blueish hue. I installed an in-line filter just now, is it good to use still?

I just started the game and the first character I pulled was Firefly, I was lucky and got the E1, so when I'm in enhanced mode I can use the skill for free. My question is the skill gives 25% advanced action, considering that I can always use that, the ideal speed remains 154 or can it be lower?
