New account because I'd like to stay anonymous.
I know majority of those here are dumpees, but my situation is a bit different as the dumper. I did not grieve the relationship before ending things like some others do, & I'm not in a stage of "relief" like some people apparently get as the dumper. I felt like I had to end a relationship I didn't want to, but knew I needed to because it was toxic.
I (27F) was in a relationship with my ex (34M) for 1.5 years. This relationship since the start was very up & down. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster. There were very high moments of feeling love & happiness to very lows that consisted of trust issues, jealousy issues, gaslighting and manipulation on his end.
It all came to a head a week ago during a text conversation with him belittling me, making insulting comments about my mom & the rest of my family, throwing personal attacks at me and saying things you would never say to the woman you love. I am talking blowing up my phone with just walls of texts of just him saying the most disrespectful things.
2 days after I ended things with him, he messaged me with an apology and it was yet again another apology that had no real depth to it. He'll never say what exactly he is apologizing for, it's always very vague and it's like his messages are more about how he is feeling over anything else. Saying things like, "I miss you." "Life is immediately awful without you." & It always just seems more focused on his feelings than truly owning up to his behavior.
Although he has made attempts at reaching out I have been sticking fully to no contact. I removed him & any friends/family of his off social media.
Since this has been a pattern in the relationship since the beginning I'm determined to stick with my decision but I'd be lying if I didn't say it's been very hard. It's like my mind keeps playing tricks on me wanting to remember all the good times, even though there were so many bad.
I know logically he is not good for me at all. For example, if I heard all about my relationship from an outside perspective, say as a friend, I would immediately be like, "never go back, he is so so toxic." My mind understands that, why does my heart seem to have so much trouble catching up?
I wish I could some how shut off my feelings. Some people seem like they end relationships so easily, move on without a care & given my situation I should probably feel that way too, so why is it so hard for me to do that?!
I even made a therapy appointment for the first time due to all this. I have it this coming Thursday & I'm hoping she will help me in staying away & also working on my attachment to him.
I don't know exactly why I am posting this, but this is my first time writing all my feelings down like this so if anything it at least feels somewhat therapeutic. Any words of wisdom or encouragement is much appreciated. I could really use any.

2025.01.19 23:16 Sigma3737 Fractal Design Terra, is the adjustment notched or is it free sliding?
I'm looking to build in the Terra but need to know if the adjustment can slide freely or if the slot is limited to the numbers. In all the pictures it looks like it would slide smoothly but since it's numbered I'm not sure.
Trying to fit a stock AMD Stealth cooler in it and even with the small GPU I plan to use will be tight if it is fixed to the numbers.

New griller here. Been consuming as much guidance as possible, but still have lingering questions about regular cleaning & maintenance, especially considering I am somewhat of a germaphobe.
I have a new gas grill that has been used less than 10 times. I always pre-heat and oil grates before cooking. After cooking I always leave the grill on high for 15 minutes before scraping thoroughly with a grill brush.
Despite this, I’m noticing that every time I oil the grates with a paper towel before cooking my grates are so greasy(?) that the paper towel is black. Is this normal? It not only gives me a bit of the ick before cooking, but makes me feel like I’m not properly cleaning after each session.
Any advice?
