Hello everyone! My name is Connor and I thought I would seek some opinions on a dilemma I’ve had for nearly 2 months. I currently do accounting at QMUL, worked my backside off to get there etc etc. but have ran into some problems. The crux of it is I’m considering my options (dropping out and whatnot) Because I as a mentally questionable individual decided despite having the mathematic skills of a 12 year old to pursue a career in finance and do accounting (ultimately for the wrong reasons) So naturally when greeted in lectures by calculus and algebra and stuff a piece of me dies. But let’s list the common problems people typically have with uni that makes them want to drop out in regards to me.
- Not liking the course: I hate my course, never truly wanted to do accounting, cannot do numbers for the life of me, finance people have a tendency to be greedy weirdos, industry is the definition of moral vacuum can’t stand it in honesty. As cool as the concept of the financial system is, there’s a lot that sucks.
- I hate living in and being in East London/London in general whenever you go out your on guard with either crackheads or thieves and it’s just horrendous, the only redeeming feature is the tube and the childish notion that people in London are somehow more important or successful than others.
- I haven’t made a single friend since coming here, somewhat shy but in the first few weeks I made a bloody effort to meet people and make friends, not a single person has decided I’m worth a second conversation. I don’t fit into any “in groups” I’ve joined societies (albeit career-focussed ones) and no one is interested in friendship at all.
My only thing is that this is obviously a monumental decision and coming from a single dad household, the father in question is long term unemployed and we really are at the bottom I really do not want to screw things up for our future. Especially given how hard we’ve worked to get me this far. My dad has made it clear he has no expectations for me to do anything and that he’ll accept whatever happens. But I still have to live with whatever I do, right or wrong.
Apologies if any of this seems incoherent it’s late, I’ll gladly add any details if need be. Hope you’re all doing well at any rate.

 | Can anyone tell me what this cable is that runs from the negative terminal of the battery to the frame? If I ever need to jump this using my jump starter, could I attach the negative clamp to this bolt? According to the manual, it says do not use the negative terminal on the battery, but rather the engine mount over on the left side. My short cables on my jump starter can't cover that distance. I don't see anywhere else on this side of the battery that would reach to attach the negative clamp. I've always used the battery terminals when jumping a car and never had any issues? Hot take : The SDSU yikyak where people make fun of Nicole is mostly people making fun of her solely because she’s an influencer.
I fully understand not wanting to be filmed but SDSU has a habit of playing moral compass when it comes to calling people out. They are dragging Nicole through the mud but never seem to have this energy for the frats on their campus that say racial slurs like it’s their JOB.
I just think it’s weird to justify them making fun of Nicole because you don’t LIKE Nicole. Especially when it comes from claims of things you think she can work on, then turn around and be on silent mode when minorities (specifically black people) on campus are facing discrimination and the school is hiding it.
Before y’all start, i’m not defending Nicole. This sub is very black & white, a lot of people don’t understand that two things can be true at once. Nicole very much needs to set a boundary with fans, but to beef with her over a bunch of tweens that support her and not the literaly racists and anti-black people at their school seems weird.

First you have the season premiere, where they set a sudden death quickfire with a black chef at a freaking plantation. hilariously tone deaf.
Then in the episode celebrating Edna Lewis, upon finding out that Katsuji is planning on serving fried chicken and watermelon, Sylva says “Jesus Christ” and mentions in his confessional that “i would never present that dish to a table of southern chefs.” just had me dying laughing
(to be clear, sylva’s reaction was the funny part to me, not that katsuji did something wrong. two african american women eating the food said katsuji nailed it and took no offense to it at all.)
Also, the largely white cast trying to explain what Edna Lewis meant to them when they, like me, just learned about her, was pretty funny

is it worth it to wait for 2nd offer rounds if you didn’t get into your top preference. for my top preference my adjusted atar was .15 away from meeting the atar threshold displayed on the website however on my qtac it says i have satisfied the minimum atar needed. honestly since the next offer rounds is coming out in a weeks time, i didnt mind waiting but i’m starting to feel it’s entirely unrealistic for me to get an offer now

I have a new Sub 4 paired with a new Arc Ultra. I’m playing instrumentals of my favorite songs and at random moments the Sub doesn’t hit all bass ranges. Sometimes the bass sounds choppy, sometimes skips a beat, sometimes feels flat. And it doesn’t happen at the same time when I play a song back let’s say.
Trueplay doesn’t help, resetting the Sub doesn’t help, all updated also
