I'm posting on behalf of a family friend who's looking to part with a vinyl collection of about a hundred or so LPs and a dozen or so singles.
The goal, ideally, is to come away from the endeavour with at least some money, so at the moment we aren't considering donating.
We did consider picking out any valuable ones, if we found any, and selling them individually, but through the process of calaloguing no real standouts have emerged so we're looking at selling in bulk.
Anyone got experience with market stalls and can advise general expenses?
Has anyone had much success on marketplace?
Similar experiences?
I'm going to call up some local record stores but I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions, cheers.

So I have never been diagnosed but I have had problems with my salivary glands. So much I have two stones that are now infected again. Does anyone else get the dryness at the salivary glands? I tested negative for Sjogrens and got acne roseca. Regardless, can any of you relate to the salivary stones?

My entire life I thought 10% rent raises were the standard. However doing some research I found out that the typical rent increase is only a few percentage points according to the census.
Where are these apartments with negligible rent increases?
I would love any recommendations outside the beltway close to Reston since anywhere close to DC would make my commute unbearable.

2025.01.20 04:10 Separate-Preference6 My mother is using my sister to try and ruin my engagement.
My mother asked to come stay with my fiancé (22F) and I (22M) for a bit saying my younger sister (14) wasn’t in the best space mentally and needed to be somewhere safe and her boyfriend said he couldn’t have my sister around right now. My fiancé and I agreed to let them stay with us under the guise of it being a short period of time and agreed we would avoid spending too much time with her other than when spending time with my sister. Once they had arrived my mother hadn’t told us until a week later that my sister had to go to a therapy program offered in my area that would take 10 weeks and her boyfriend didn’t want her back until the therapy had been completed so they had nowhere to go.
Again what she didn’t tell us is that they hadn’t even signed my sister up for this program yet that has a wait list of 6 months. My fiancé has autism and does not do well with schedule changes or getting used to new things which my mother knows. She has been laying on our couch doing absolutely nothing, barely putting any money in for groceries or rent and is now doing things to purposely upset my fiancés schedule or going out of her way to upset and make my fiancé uncomfortable in her own home. My fiancé is now talking about leaving and going to stay with her parents for the duration that they are down, I really don’t want to risk losing her as she is truly everything I want in my life but if I ask my mother to leave they have nowhere to go, my sister won’t get to go through the therapy program and she will cut contact with me not allowing me to see or talk to my sister again. I really don’t know what to do and I’m stressed out about everything and scared of losing my fiancé. What do I do in this situation?

What opportunities do people receive when they make edits and post them? Are they able to get job opportunities? If so what types of jobs?
I saw an account that charges for edits by time and edit type (fancier transitions cost more) but are there other opportunities by posting videos that show clips edited together perfectly in sync with music? Thank you!

I do a lot of technical, detailed-oriented things every day. It can become easy to lose track of the big picture. It's especially difficult to communicate the impact of what I've done during performance reviews or hiring interviews, especially when the impact is indirect. It's particularly difficult to communicate it with non-technical people. Is it just me, or do other people also struggle to communicate the value I bring, especially when the stakes are high?

2025.01.20 04:10 zeusbb 28 [M4R] India - Life's a lot of 'meh' with some beautiful experiences mixed in, and that's okay.
The last two days I was in Mumbai with friends, for the coldplay concert. A fun couple of days and an awe filled and exciting evening at the concert.
I was watching a video I took of a Mumbai local train, there were a few people captured in it and everyone were in their own world, returning home probably after work... Everyone busy with their little problems and joys but mostly just being 'meh', because that's what life is for the most part. I'll be heading back to my meh life too, but that's fine, 'meh' is fine. There'll always be things that'll make it a little more exciting every now and then, so what's the next thing you're excitedly looking forward to? Or what's your beautiful yet meh life going on like?

2025.01.20 04:10 Zazbatraz How do I get my account back after being hacked and 2FA was turned on?
I was hacked last August and have not yet been able to get back into my account. I reported it, had it shut down, and then started the recovery process. I have a new email and password attached to the account, but the hacker enabled the two-factor authorization to a different app. I have no idea what. Any time I try to login, I always get stuck on the 2FA step.
I tried confirming my identity, but even the email that says I have confirmed says "You have two-factor authentication turned. This means you'll be asked to enter an authorization code...". Except, I don't have access to wherever those codes are being sent.
Anyone have a solution?
