First Impression of DS2

DS2 will seem like a child of DeS and DS, with some very familiar challenges and items. But it introduces changes that will rock veterans. Notably the lack of reliable roll dodging, or the looming soul memory. If you can adapt to these changes you'll see not an artificial difficulty, but a unique challenge that makes this game recognizable. Now I don't know if I will continue NG+5 or goodbye. The fact that you are weaker than enemies makes me bored. I want to become stronger, the game always makes you weak in every way. I play on pc sotfs and use mouse + keyboard + autohotkey instead of using controller hand. I know the game series souls because of the negative reviews of ds2. Unlike DS and DS3, in DS2, the Attribute-Scaling of shields also affect their defensive values (needs confirmation). Note that the higher the initial defense value of the shield, the smaller the bonus. Dark Souls II (DS2) showcases a wide variety of shields DS2's bosses, especially the base game are 95% pretty easy but the areas are some of the areas of ALL the games. DS2 often does enemy placement lazily and it gets very tiring getting ganked for the fifteenth time but i do appreciate the identity this game holds over the others because of that challenge in exploration. Alongside powerstancing, which they also scrapped for DS3 and replaced with the arbitrarily-combined paired weapons, hexes are probably one of the best innovations in DS2 - it was an asset to the gameplay. I will never have a firm understanding on their decision to disregard the progressions DS2 pushed. It was completely counterintuitive. The beauty of DS2 was that every weapon felt special in some way and was more or less powerful; maybe is the nostalgic trip i'm doing that speaks throw my tongue, idk. By the way, ER pvp is just that bad and unbalanced that makes me miss DS2/3 one even more. DS2 Bonfire: Attune Spells. Add or remove spell scrolls from attunement slots. The Attune Magic function will appear on the menu after acquiring a spell scroll (Hex, Miracle, Pyromancy, Sorcery) The starting classes which begin with a spell will have the Attune Spell function available immediately; DS2 Bonfire: Traveling Dark Souls 2 Wiki Guide: Weapons, Walkthrough, armor, strategies, maps, rings, bosses, items and more. Dragonrider is an Boss in Dark Souls 2 (DKS2).The Dragonriders, loyal servants of King Vendrick, once rode mighty wyrms, striking fear into the hearts of their enemies with unparalleled strength on the battlefield. Soul lvl 150 with 10+ pyro flame. Dex build. Penal handcuffs equipped. Pyromancy does not deal big damage against Aava (tried fire tempest, chaos storm, fire whip, great combustion, and fire orb) especially since Aava is very aggressive in DS2 standard, finding right moment for tempest and chaos storm is difficult.

A few monthsback I designed a header that took a 4 cylinder and gave it 8 runners that merge into 1. I don't have the resources to build this however I put the idea out there. Well turns out this idea was not 100% original. Jon Kaase won amsoil 2013 with this similar method!

2025.01.20 04:01 minefield24 Amazing owners

Had a sit end tonight and I’m in a very cold state (-4f, feels like -12f). Get all packed, get into my car and… my car doesn’t start. I’ve never had this happen and I do have a winter kit in my car, but have no idea how to change a battery much less jump a car.
Reached out to the owners to let them know my predicament and they said they know how to jump a car! I had to wait a bit, but I didn’t mind whatsoever. I felt super lucky! Well, disaster struck AGAIN! Jumping it didn’t work so I needed a new battery. The owner said he was thinking of plans on the way home of what to do (jump the car, bring me to get a new battery and worst case, bring me home himself). He helped out immensely, even offering to help pay for the battery — to which I declined, I was already beyond grateful for him helping out in the extreme cold and right after they got home! He helped install the battery and then even checked in on me to make sure I got home safe :’)
They’re reoccurring clients, but damn they’re awesome and I’m super lucky that not only was he handy, but that he was willing to go out of his way.

2025.01.20 04:00 Low_Lead3932 No noise from Rega P1

Ive been struggling to get my turntable up and running for a while so coming here for help. Ive a Rega P1 connected to a Schiit Mani and Edifier (R1280DB) active speakers. The turntable was brought over from Australia so it has Australian plugs, Ive got the power chord running through a power adapter for a US outlet. Right now with everything connected up properly (I believe), I’m still only hearing sound from the turntable itself. I’d assume it something to do with the cross country set up but can’t find any troubleshooting help. Any suggestions?

2025.01.20 04:00 Admirable_Gold_9133 Unable to edit item to use parameter

I have a simple sketch of a 2x4 - literally just a rectangle. I decided that I want to make that value a parameter, so I created two, one for each side. I then tried to edit the sketch and change each side to use a parameter. But I can't find that! Double clicking the lines doesn't work, nothing I've followed on the interwebs has let me to change a static value to a parameter! I'm able to use parameters if I start from scratch, just not able to edit existing dimensions.
Secondarily, my goal is to create a folder of bodies in the browser with template bodies to copy/paste as needed throughout my project - 2x4s, 2x6s, 4x4s, etc. Maybe that's the wrong approach to this whole thing?

Ive made 3 accounts up to this point and ranked them all up to Grandmaster 2 simply bc the game becomes so unbearable at that rank that it is no longer fun to play it whatsoever, the triple support meta right now is cringe. And Loki is what TRULY Enables it but people have yet to realise except some of the pro players.
Loki sports the second highest winrate IN THE GAME at GM+ with a VERY High pickrate. He allows triple support comps to work because you get to chain 3 Defensive ultimates and stall the game for nearly a whole minute on point. (C&D, Invis Woman & Loki - Mantis ult is trash its barely a defensive ult be real)
Thats not even touching on his base kit which is INCREDIBLY uninteractive aswell. He COMPLETELY negates most characters like pyslocke etc from being able to play the game. His clones reveal positions similar to namor turrets, they allow him to teleport away from you to safety at ANY point you engage him, you cannot reliably kill them either because they are so tanky that by the time youve killed it hes already in a perfectly safe position again. And if you by some miracle do get him low, he just uses his immortality field which creates not 1, but 2 of them bc of his clone so you have to spend time killing BOTH. Hes undoubtedly the most OP Character in the game and the highest rank have begun to realise it and its made the game so painstakingly boring. Atleast lower the HP of his clones, or immortality field or limit it to 1 field or something.
This triple support meta is so cringe, pausing the game for a minute at a time should not be a thing whatsoever, and whats even funnier is that during the period where everyone in the team is immortal they just farm ultimates so by the time its over theyre nearly halfway to another ultimate charge again. This needs to be adressed QUICKLY, no one is having fun in high elo.

Hi! I have a BenQ HT8050 and all the specs talk about it being compatible with an anamorphic lens, but I can’t figure out 1) where I buy one 2) how it works if I do buy one. Is it something I just snap on or is it an involved process to switch out the lenses depending on what I’m watching?
The manual just says it’s an optional accessory and doesn’t say much more other than a couple of configuration options in the menu.
Anyone have advice about this? Does it seem worth getting if I like to watch wide movies but also switch with other content a lot?
