A bit about me: I love collecting physical media- CD's, movies etc. I love iPods so much, I spend a lot of time downloading music. I like video games, too, and I'm trying to get back into them. I love movies and books too. I'm currently an astronomy major and love everything about space.

Hi all, My girlfriend is really into birding, but there isn’t much of a community over here for it. So she doesn’t have a lot of people to share experience with and learn more from. I would like to get her a course that teaches more about bird identification and such. Since there aren’t any such classes she could visit in person, I wanted to get a good online one. I was looking at the Cornell ones, but they seem to be more about North America. Can someone recommend one that is more focused on European birds?

Hey all, Looking to buy my first bike, I’ve found myself speaking with someone selling a 2017 Honda cbr300.
The bike has 3000kms, regularly serviced and in mint condition (got pointed in the direction of the bike by a mechanic)
The seller wants $4,500aud for the bike, is this a good price? Or should I see if I can get the price lower.

Seems like just another delay tactic to paying us. Case in point, on Sunday I had an incentive. Normally around 11:59pm it would show on Sunday's earnings. It did not close as it should've. Now it will be two Tuesdays away until I get paid.
I am so effing tired of them jacking with our earnings. Every six months they deflate our earnings by adding more stops or reducing base pay. Every six months they flood the market with new drivers which reduces our pay.

2025.01.20 07:39 Livid-Assistant-7650 I think I've worked out why I tilt so hard at this game, can you guys share your experiences?
A lot of people find context helpful for a game like brawlhalla, like saying to themselves "it's just a game" or stuff along those lines, but that just doesn't work for me. I think I've worked out why. I feel like it's a sign of a larger problem in my life when I lose, like if I can't get better at a video game, how can I possibly be worth anything outside the video game? I feel like a total fraud, that I don't deserve what I have, and everything I have attained is simply out of luck. I basically feel worthless because I lost. And when people say to me "dude, it's just a videogame", that makes it feel worse rather than better. I feel MORE justified in my self-hatred because, like I said, if I can't be good at a video game when I'm trying my absolute hardest, pouring my heart into it, what can I be good at? I'm a diamond player, so I am well aware of the fact that I am no good at the game, and that you can only really consider yourself to be somewhat decent once you reach 24-2500 ELO, so I just feel awful losing in 1900. I study the replays, and all the people I spar with, 2200+ players, all tell me that I am getting better, yet I am still losing to people rated 1900, and even below that.
In my own mind, you are averagely good at the game when you are 2200, as you can consistently beat diamonds at that ELO. Anything below 2200 is below average, and I am fully convinced that there are no players who are below 1800 ELO. I haven't encountered a player below 1800 ELO in the 4 months since I've been back on the game. So maybe all of this contributed to my bad mental, but I view myself as a terrible player at the ELO I am currently at.
Did any of you guys have breakthroughs with your bad mental? Do you have any tips to help me stop getting so angry at myself? Do you guys have different perspectives? Thanks in advance.
