It seems like the only fishing-focused games available are ones like The Angler or Russian Fishing.
I’m looking for something that isn’t too demanding to run on the Steam Deck, unlike the previously mentioned games, but still offers a good, realistic, and relaxing fishing simulation.
I’m not interested in pixel art games or titles like Dredge, Stardew Valley, or any other cozy farming sims—I want a game that’s solely focused on fishing.
Does anyone have any recommendations? So far, the closest thing I’ve found is Catch & Release, but unfortunately, it’s a VR game!

2025.01.20 08:29 Redhawkgirl Clear water/good visibility for snorkeling
We are staying near Waikaloa Beach. I’ve tried the beach in front of Auberge so far and the Mauna Lani beach club and the water was very murky. Tomorrow I’m hoping to get in some better snorkeling. My ideas are 1. Go up to the Mauna Lea hotel early and hope it’s better 2. Drive an hour down to Captain Cook or 2 step.
Will the water be any better at the Mauna Lea? It’s pretty close. I’d love to stay up in this area.
I really don’t want to drive an hour to Kona tomorrow because I like it away from the busyness. But if the water and coral are so much better there then I will. I’ll have another day up in this area. If I do this I’d like to do 2 step because my legs are so tired from all the running I’ve been doing. That said I’m in good trail shape and could do that hike if Captain cook is a lot better. But I’d rather save my legs for a big run Tuesday.
Thanks for any help. Really have one good day of snorkeling left.
