We are getting prepared. We are doing something now and as a result at some future time we will be ready. We are getting married. We are planning to do this at some future time. We are getting better. Several possibilities: We are still ill but we are not as ill as we were and so we hope at some future time we will feel better. When I have to catch a train, I'm always worried that I'll miss it. So, I like getting/ to get to the station in plenty of time. In grammar in use book, the bold part has been considered as correct answer. I am wondering why. What is more, would you show me a more detailed explanation or another synonym for the following?-- Use this instead of "getting expired", which is not idiomatic. Otherwise you can use the future tense "will expire" or the (somewhat more awkward) participle variation "will be expired". Her contract will expire in February next year. The phrasing of "getting worse and worse" could mean the exact same thing, but is a bit more vague in the time frame of the worsening - it could be a slow decline over the course of months or years, a day-by-day progression, or something even faster. Existing comments have clarified that it should be 'getting in touch with' or 'contacting'. 'Contacting with' doesn't work, though 'getting in contact with' is possible - I just wouldn't use it in either of the above structures. I would also change the 'thanks'.. Seems that the first one is expressed in present continues, and the second on in future tense.

Such as having an early morning route and businesses not being opened or people living in gated communities and not leaving a gate code and not answering when I contact them etc. I’m wondering how long these delivery issues stay on my account? for the past year and a half, every morning my stomach is fully bloated and writhing with pain. this of course makes me try to use the restroom, but majority of the time i can’t get anything to come out unless i wait another hour or so.
the bloated feeling and pain lasts majority of the day. eating or drinking anything adds to the pain. my mom has a history of gastro issues, and has ibs. i’ve gone to the doctor concerned about this issue twice, and both times he just says to eat more fiber and be active. i’ve lost 55lb and fixed my eating a lot this year and the issues have still not improved, and i feel like im going crazy trying to convince someone abt an issue that doesn’t exist.
i was prescribed a stomach medicine when i saw a different doctor about it when the problems first occurred, but that medicine conflicts with my antidepressant that i was put on later.

Is it just me or is everyone experiencing this too? So I'm new to iPhone and this is an iphone 16 pro max,and one thing that bugs me coming from an android is that it tends to be inconsistent when it comes to sliding down from either the control center or the notifications and sometimes going back to the home menu, is this a bug or do all iphones do this?
Note that All the apps are closed, Airdrop and Bluetooth are off, Storage space is still a lot.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been struggling with an issue involving my left hand fingers while playing the violin. My 3rd finger seems to be "connected" to my pinky. Basically, I can’t lower my pinky without also lowering my ring finger, and vice versa.
For ascending scales, it’s much easier since I place the 3rd finger before the 4th. I have the strength and dexterity to position the 4th finger as long as the 3rd is already placed. However, it’s the opposite for descending scales—placing the 4th finger without the 3rd is incredibly difficult. Does this mean I should always place the 3rd finger whenever I play the 4th? That seems like a complicated solution, and I’m not sure if it’s practical.
I understand that pinky independence can be trained, but from what I’ve read, this specific issue seems to be anatomical. Some people are born with the tendons of these two fingers separated, while others have them connected, and if it’s the latter, it’s apparently not something that can really be "fixed" through training.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are there any workarounds or techniques to manage this? Is it truly possible to "unlink" these two fingers, or is it a permanent limitation?
I’d also like to mention that I’ve had a few teachers who were lucky enough to have separated tendons and struggled to understand my perspective.
