Hi everyone, I’m currently applying for a B1/B2 US visa from Kuwait and I’m a bit confused about how to approach the financial sponsorship section. My brother, who is not in Kuwait, will be the one funding my trip. However, I’m wondering if it would look better on the application if I list my father, who is in Kuwait, as the sponsor instead. Would it make any difference in terms of approval if the sponsor is a family member residing in Kuwait (e.g., my father), or is it fine to list my brother even though he’s not here? What looks better; my bank account statement or my brothers?
Also, I’d really appreciate any insight into how long the visa application process typically takes from Kuwait.

State KY.
Trying to determine if stocks go to the estate or the trust?
Spouse died with $75k in stock options. She has a will that goes to a trust. There is significant debt so if the money goes to probate there will not be any left over. I am being told it needs to go to the estate but don’t want to lose the money if that is not accurate. The company says
“In the case of death, the Stock Plans follow the laws of descent and distribution. Therefore, the optionee/awardee should ensure they call out in their legal documents/will to whom their options/awards should pass upon untimely death.
Today, if the deceased optionee’s legal documents name an executor or beneficiary, we allow that person(s) to exercise options or receive the RSUs as outlined in those documents. We issue shares or payment in the name of the person(s) named. The options/awards remain in the optionee’s name, but our processes direct the payment/distribution to the executor or beneficiary.”

Just to get it out of the way; No, I'm not saying Mississippi Burning is Disco Elysium: The Movie. Every so often a thread gets posted here asking for recommendations for other media similar to D.E. and that's what I'm doing here.
Based on a true crime story, Mississippi Burning takes place in 1964 after three civil rights workers are murdered and disappeared by white supremacists in rural Mississippi. Two FBI agents are sent to investigate, and the local police department greet them with everything from simple standoffishness to open hostility. Being FBI agents, they are able to bring in more resources unlike Harry and Kim, but the technological limitations of the time did leave them more or less on their own in some situations.
Gene Hackman and Willem Dafoe play Anderson and Ward, respectively, and their relationship has some similarities to Harry and Kim's while still being it's own thing. Anderson is like if Harry had never gone off the deep end, but still had a bit of a boorish and boisterous side to him. Like Harry, Anderson is really good at interviewing people and getting them to reveal information, although Anderson isn't attending any secret Commuist meetings. Dafoe's Ward has the same soft-spokenness and laser-focus on procedure as Kim, but Ward is much more idealistic. He really is trying to make the world a better place, while Kim has a much more realistic view of what he is individually capable of even as a police officer.
Like I said, it isn't a perfect 1:1 comparison but if you're interested in another story about two investigators getting to the bottom of a mystery in a community that doesn't respect their presence, you can stream this for free on Tubi. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
