I’m a high school freshman and I am worried that I am not using my time wisely and that I should be building my college portfolio, but I’m not sure what I should do. I’ve been invited to multiple “prestigious” summer programs that are thousands of dollars, but after doing my research I don’t believe they’re worth it. Does anyone have any resources on how to build my EC’s and gain awards? I’m interested in Neurology/Neuroscience and I live in New York. My courses are below:
- Honors geometry
- Design and Drawing for Production
- French II
- Honors English
- Honors Global I
- Honors Biology GPA: 3.96

So I'm not upset with my responsibilities or team or anything like that, but my MTL told me I need to clock in as LEARN ($14/hr) until the button disappears, then I can start clocking in as CSP ($17/hr) because "The learn code takes from a different pool of money." This feels deceptive to me, and I was wondering what you guys think. P.s. I'm on my third week in the office and have definitely had shifts by myself. Hell, I even worked at another office by myself for a day.

It's been a while since I could skate (COVID shut down the rink I was at), but now that I'm able to I'd like to get back into figure skating lessons.
I have my old skates that I bought when I first started, the rink fitted them for me back in 2020. I know NOTHING about brands so I just got whatever they said. The boot says "Jackson Artiste" and the blade says "Ultima Mark IV" and a 10. I painted on these skates ages ago and they look rough now xD
I ran across some black figure skates at a thrift shop that happened to be my size, so I grabbed them. They don't have such a rigid boot like my old ones, the part above the ankle is actually flexible. These say "Hyde athletic show" on the boot, with what looks like the name Chen written in the interior. The blade says "MK stainless steel made in England" and "10 1/6"
Would it be fine for me to use the black ones? Or should I keep using the Jackson ones I bought a while back.
