 | It’s Day 20 of the Wessagussett Wind/Humidity Wrap 2025. The wind was out of the WNW at 16mph with gusts to 23mph. The humidity was 84% at 8am. I used the Orchid color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the humidity 84%. I knit in the pattern:to show the wind was blowing at 16mph. I knit in the pattern: Rows 1 & 3: Knit across Rows 2 & 4: K4, P24, K4 to show the wind was blowing at 16mph. It is a beautiful, sunny day in Wessagusset, but it is frigid. The temperature has continued to drop today, with the current temperature at 17° feeling like it’s 8°. The hard thing to believe is that this will be the high temperature for the next two days. Mike has traveled to the City house to shovel snow, and I’m waiting to hear he is on the way back. I don’t want to think about our heating bill right now. Ive been looking into getting some new all mountain skis and was just wondering if anybody here could give me some tips. Im a primarily east coast skier, 5'10'' 165 lbs, with a good bit of experience, I would consider myself somewhere around advanced. I primarily like to ski glades and spend a lot of time on the mountain looking for the softest snow (but ice is unavoidable over here lol). I've seen a lot about the enforcer 94s and the atomic bent 90s but I've heard a lot of complaints about the enforcers being too heavy for trees and the bents seem like they may be more park oriented than what Im looking for. Any input would be greatly appreciated, this is my first time having the ability to do some higher end ski shopping so really don't wanna waste my money.

2025.01.20 21:50 bmwe30is Kudos to Canyon support on my new Aeroad SLX 7 - the bike needed a replacement cockpit and was replacement at an ASP.
TLDR: I had to have my Aeroad's cockpit replaced due to a faulty screw thread. There was no fuss around how it broke, what my options were, etc... Canyon found the best path was to ship me the cockpit and then I would take the bike to an ASP.
Background: The bike was shipped to me right before the holiday season here in CA, so I fully expected some time to get parts and have the bike serviced. During assembly, I found one of the cockpit fasteners was stripped. The screw wouldn't even encounter any friction at 3nm using a Silca beam torque wrench. Canyon (USA / Carlsbad, CA) took care of me - they answered emails quickly, were always responsive and receptive on the phone when I called to follow up. I'm fortunate to have a few ASPs nearby, once the new cockpit came in, I drove the bike over to the shop to have the cockpit swapped out. Saturday was an inaugural 30 mile shakedown ride and everything works great. Hopefully this throws some positivity out there - direct-to-consumer is hard for everyone but I had a good experience. The last time I bought a new bike was nearly a decade ago from a LBS that no longer exists.
