I've been doom scrolling, procrastinating and glued to a screen. Nothing works,
Every good app (freedom, stayfoucsd, stayfree etc.) failed or bypassed, every study method works in the short term but falls apart fast. Now I exert a fraction of what I'm knowingly capable of, what now? I'm slowly rebuilding myself but not at the pace I'm falling into. The closest I've gotten is with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ2d1GVPHCc and a browser add-on for chrome, but its far from enough. I should spend a couple hours a day doing something productive. But I can only crack an hour at best unless its the last minute...
How can I improve?

Hello everyone.
I am a returning player from many years. Last time I played, I finished War Within. I really like this game and I want to enjoy all the content I missed. So after a few weeks I have leveled all my gear, farmed all the intrinsic I wanted and also maxed out all the syndicates, including Cetus and Fortuna.
The next items on my list are Profit Taker and Eidolon. However, after multiple attempts to take down Profit Taker on my own, it's clear that I need help as I can't even get to phase 2 of the boss fight. I have seen some guides, but it always narrows down to gear and mods I do not have, also I am very cautious about leveling mods because I do not what is worth the Endo.
Should I level the appropriate mods? Or should I skip Profit Taker and Eidolon for the time being and complete Call of the Tempestarii? I could also try to boss fight again, but I am not so sure if I can do it. Thank you for the advice you can give in advance.

Okay so I'm writing a contemporary romance novel. The cozy and cheesie kind. Nothing too serious but it does have some dramatic undertones. The underlying framework is that both main characters have experienced traumatic life events. Their romance builds as each of them fall in love with the broken versions of each other and the characters grow together becoming more healed versions of themselves. With that said obviously the tramatic events play a big roll in who the character is at the beginning of the story and this one in particular is part of a twist at the end of the book. In my first draft I opened with the character dreaming about the event. Not in an unrealistic way but more in a replaying the memory kind of way. I know opening with dreams are cliche and generally considered a "don't". My question is, could this be an exception since it's honestly more of a memory than a dream?

2025.01.21 00:42 Responsible_Prior833 Dealing with 4+ enemy encounters in Graces F as melee on Hard difficulty and higher?
Any tips on how to approach this as Asbel? I just get dogpiled and/or locked down by ranged enemies. Playing defensively vs offensively doesn’t seem to make much difference.
I also get kicked out of my combos by said enemies even if I charged to green or higher with guard. I find in these fights my only strategy is to coral the mobs around while my AI teammates DPS which isn’t much fun ofc.

When I open the nvidea overlay and go to settings, it has a microphone that isn’t my default set as the input When I change it, it just resets the moment I close the audio settings, I’ve tried restarting my pc, and reinstalling my nvidea app, neither have fixed it My microphone works for everything else, any fixes?

 | As stated above Over the past few days my Fortnite completely freezes my PC when trying to launch it. I’ve already seen a few posts on here with the same issue but I would still like to get the word out as to help others facing this issue. I’ve verified the game files, I’ve installed the latest graphics drivers, I’ve cleared the local game data & I’ve launched the gave using d3d11 which worked for about a day before the game started to freeze again. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know & if you have had a fix that lasted longer than a day let me know. I’ve contacted epic support & have yet to hear back from them. Trigger Warning
Some of my family members are mission presidents in a remote area in Africa, and while on the phone with them today they told us one of their missionaries was being sent home because he OD’d in an attempt to take his own life. Thankfully he is stable now and on his way home.
The worst part is that he tried to tell them multiple times that he wanted to go home, but wasn’t allowed to, which led him to believe an attempt on his life was his only way out.
It’s shocking and mind boggling that these literal ADULT men and women are “not allowed” to leave when they want to. I’m sorry, not allowed?? And when they do ask permission to leave, the attitude is always just, “Oh don’t worry about them, they just want to leave because they don’t have a real bed. Or AC in the 100+ degree heat and humidity. And bugs are eating them alive every day and leaving them with horrible scars. And the medical care is abysmal. And they’re in a completely different culture than what they’re used to and didn’t know what they were signing up for. But they’ll get used to it.”
Or, “Oh, you’re depressed because of all those things? Yeah that will pass. Just pray and fast and you’ll be fine. Everyone’s depressed here but they’re all fine.” All in the name of a damn cult.
I’m just so disgusted, and when I’m surrounded by TBMs all the time it seems like I’m the crazy one for seeing how NOT OK this all is. What will it take for someone to finally hold the church accountable for this things like this?

I've been thinking about this movie for years and haven't been able to find it! I remember watching it several times as a kid in the 80s but can't remember the plot.
I remember that a monk gathered 5 or 6 guys that he trained to help him fight the final boss and each one was trained in a different style with a different apparatus. One guy trained with bamboo poles in a lake and could jump between them. One guy trained on something that looked like monkey bars but instead of bars it had baskets that he would flip into. One guy trained on wooden dummies but that's all i remember.
In the end, they killed all of the henchmen but several of the "good guys" died and they eventually killed the boss. Pretty standard stuff but I loved this movie as a kid. Any ideas on what movie this was?
