Hello and thank you to anyone willing to read this novel. Would love to hear the insight from someone with a horse background or someone who has been through a similar family business situation. l I apologize in advance for the long story.
So I (24 f) have been stuck in this situation for a very long time and I don't know what to do. I live on a farm with my family (mom, dad, older brother). We have a family business and it's a horseback riding stable. The barn was built 11 years ago and it was built in mind for me (the horse girl of the family). Every horse girl's dream right? I am the sole instructor of the business and I teach roughly 30 students a week right now. At one time it was more but I will get into that later. I also handle all of the scheduling, training of the horses, farrier work (I trim the feet myself), handling injuries, other maintenance work such as mucking stalls, taking students to horse shows, running and planning workshops. I used to also run week long summer canps all on my own. The list goes on. I've always been very passionate about horses, my riding, and my teaching. Here comes the problem. I've been teaching for 10 years (as of this fall) and I haven't been getting paid to teach lessons.
Yes, not a single lesson. It started out in the beginning my parents had an instructor lined up to do the teaching but it ended up falling through. Another attempt with a different instructor also didn't work out. That lead to me at 15 years old volunteering to teach the lessons as I was going through for my certification anyways. I was thrilled to help in that way at the time.
As time went by and I was getting older (a couple years in at that point) I was wondering when I would start to get paid. My parents said they were covering my fees for showing my own horses so I thought "fair enough, showing is expensive." This went on until about 2023 when I got a concussion from one of our boarder's horse. It cut my show season off halfway through the season which I was devastated by but shit happens. A few months go by and my head hasn't recovered from the concussion (I had stopped riding completely). I was asking my mom about getting myself some physio to help my healing as I seemed to have hit a rut. I thought that it would be fair if they helped me cover the expense of it as it was a result from a horse they earn income off of but my mother refused. I didn't have an income so I essentially had to wait to get help for my head. I finally reached a breaking point where I went and applied for a part time job (which they were against of). Thankfully I found a part time job with good benefits and I was able to get physio. Even with the benefits it cost me $2000 out of pocket. But I wasn't in as much pain anymore and had way less symptoms.
It was getting better to the point where I could start riding again. With the prospect of being able to show again I was talking to her about my plans were for showing again. At the end of the conversation she said "well, we aren't going to be covering your showing anymore." This hit me like a ton of bricks. There has been so many issues I've had with them over the years with guilt tripping and manipulating- I can't fit it all in this post.
I just don't know what to do anymore. I've hit a point in my life where I just feel so left behind. Every time I have brought up being paid there's always an excuse or it's blown up into an argument or they make me feel ungrateful. They always say "well the farm is going to be left to you guys". I get that, but what if my brother doesn't what to keep his half and I have to buy him out? I wouldn't be able to afford it so we would have to sell the farm and split it. I feel like I'm going crazy. Part of me feels guilty because this is so many people's dream and I care so much for the horses. The other part just wants to say fuck this. I have a boyfriend that I care deeply about and we have talked about moving in together but I can't. Because the part time job I do have (as good as it is) doesn't bring in enough as it's only 20 hours a week. I wouldn't be able to get a full time job at the moment because I spend so much time teaching lessons and caring for all the barn needs. I'm in therapy to help me try to work through this and get through to them. But I would love a different perspective on the situation.
I love my family but I'm beginning to resent them so much. I love the horses but I feel so drained from teaching. I don't know what to do.
I know alot of people are just going to say leave but it's so difficult to do that. I don't want anything bad to happen to the barn or the horses. I also love the farm and couldn't bear to lose it. I think fellow horse people might be able to understand the conflict
I'm sorry if this post is a mess. Any advice on how to handle the situation is really appreciated. In an ideal world I could say something that would make them see my value and pay me- without hating me forever

Ok, I have tried my noob best to figure this out. Read more things in here that did not help. So here goes! I have a HM X12 that I am trying to run Tiny Whoop 702 26,000kv Neon Edition. I can get it to connect to BetaFlight and make changes to everything, but I cannot test and configure the motors. When I do it try they might shake, or slight spin, or do nothing. What am I missing??

Iāll Be There with You (2006): 3 out of 10: This movie is a mess. It threatens to become an interesting mess; but alas, it is in reality just a mess.
The first clue something is wrong is this movieās supposed genre. Apparently, it is a horror movie. Iāll Be There With You is no more a horror movie than Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory was. It has horrific elements, but it is more of a drama and a relationship drama at that. Whether director Akihiro Kitamura meant to make a horror film or the marketing department at Celebrity Video Distribution simply labeled it as a horror film is unknown.
Now what director Kitamura meant by this film is somewhat of a mystery; it is all over the place. There is a relationship drama, bar pickups, date rape, non-date rape, strange computer graphics from someoneās Commodore Amiga, escaped criminals killing, Japanese nerd comic relief, and Daniel Baldwin.
Indeed, a bloated Daniel Baldwin gives the best performance of the film. That alone should condemn with faint praise. In fairness, the ladies in the cast (Adarsha Benjamin, Michelle Lawrence and Elisabeth Donaldson) are decent if somewhat unpolished, but the male lead Akihiro Kitamura is a black hole of charisma. Kitamuraās tearful denouement is cinematic pain defined. (I would blame the director, but they are the same guy.)
With its lack of focus and bizarre computer generated sequels, Iāll Be There With You reminds me of that mess Demonlover. But with a lower budget and less talent on both sides of the camera, Iāll Be There With Youās mess is even less enjoyable.
There are a couple of good movies in here somewhere. Unfortunately, I could not find one of them.

Long post of my experience.
I did my video nutritionist visit 12/26. She was awesome, her name is Tricia Fleming she gave me a lot of information based on the things I like to eat, dense calories, water intake, and gave me advice on my protein intake because I walk 5 miles per day before or after work & adding Tirzepatide she didn't want me to deal with hair loss and muscle loss.
I did the virtual Physician visit 12/27. I did not like talking to the physician, he was very odd to talk to, he seemed very uninterested in being on that call. He kept looking around the room that he was in. I think it was maybe 8 minutes into the call and I announced that I was done asking questions just to get off of the call.
I can't explain why but I just was not sure I wanted to use this company something felt off, then again it could've just been my overthinking. I had scheduled other weight loss telehealth appointments before making my decision, but Mochi charged my card $199 on 1/3. I was okay with it as I want this weight off.
On 1/5 I called to see if there was anything that I needed to do as I could not do anything on the app. The rep had me to delete and redownload the app. In the meantime I logged into the portal over the internet and the rep walked me through the med form and said it would be sent to pharmacy within a few hours.
Next day 1/6 it was still not sent to the pharmacy so I called back. Rep explained that I had to verify the medication dosage but the rep fixed the issue... (still not sure about this one as this was my first order and how did I click on (submit - I think) with the other rep).
A few hours later the med changed in the portal to Refill sent to pharmacy. Again I was not happy but okay with all of this as I am a very patient person.
I called yesterday Sunday 1/19 as I already had Fed Ex and USPS notifications set up for years and had not received any shipping information. I was informed that I put my state acronym OK on the form instead of typing out Oklahoma so the order could not be processed, I asked why was I not notified. He could not answer but stated that he could fix this issue and it would be another 14 day wait.
I said no thank you and requested a refund on the medication. The rep kept stating that he was unsure if I could get a refund but he was trying to get a refund approval from his manager for a very long time. He then said he was trying to cancel my membership and the medication order. What medication order? I don't know because he had just said that the order could not be processed, therefore there would be no order to cancel. About the 4th or 5th time he clicked over to me explaining that he was still trying to get his manager, I finally said that I would just go in person to dispute it with my bank and suddenly my refund was approved... now I wait 5-7 business days for the $199 refund on the medication. I have a gut feeling that I will be calling again. (major eye roll).
I am now trying a company called NP2GO with great reviews, that has an office in Oklahoma. Praying that this will go better.
Overall (For Me) Mochi was just an annoying experience.

Hi all, I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for two years. My partner has two daughters but the father of her children wasnāt very nice in their relationship and after splitting up now uses manipulative tactics eg. he expressed a desire to have his kids 50-50, so as to stop paying child maintenance, and even went as far as to try and obtain half of the benefits that she gets for being a single parent so that he wouldnāt have to work and could financially gain from looking after his kids more. When he found out that he wasnāt able to financially gain in the way that he thought he withdrew his offer of looking after them 50-50, and took voluntary redundancy from his job which meant that he no longer had to pay child maintenance. This put my partner at risk at losing her home.
On the days that he does have them he brings them round to her house at 7 oāclock in the morning. Sends the youngest upstairs to have her mum dress her and do her hair and expects the mum to make packed lunches for both of them. This might seem quite trivial, but when sheās looking after them six days a week and working full-time.. but that means that she essentially doesnāt get any time off!!!
She is scared of addressing the situation, for fear that she will lose all his support but I am finding it really difficult to allow a man to manipulate her into a very unfair financial and childcare situation.
I just donāt know what to do and I fear that this ongoing issue is driving us apart and sheāll end up alone under his control with minimal financial support minimal childcare support.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated ā¤ļø
TL;DR - is it my place to interfere in a co-parenting relationship that affects the mother and the children?
