 | I needed to find fabric to fix some buttons on this chair that were worn and had been a little broken. Well, I had so much extra fabric leftover that I decided to try my hand at sewing with my mom's old, unused sewing machine to make a pillowcase. I know that one seam in the middle is pretty crooked and the rest of it isn't exactly perfect either, but I was super impressed with myself for it being my first time ever touching a sewing project. Just found this sub and wanted to brag lol maybe get some tips. 2025.01.21 02:16 mmlovely AITA for not eating my boyfriends food when I’m a selective eater
I (22M) and BF (37M) have been living together for about a year he's started going on a "health journey" mostly just following guided nutrition plans and some of the stuff looks really good but I just can't eat it because certain foods I don't even like to touch. I've always been picky eater since I was a kid we grew up together and he knows that and he always gave me crap got it but we weren't dating or living with each other then so it didn't bother me. The list of things I can't eat isn't big imo but It is to a lot of people. I don't hate dairy, ice cream can be okayish if there's lots of toppings but milk and cheese make me gag so I can't have pizza or anything like that. I can't eat vegetables that are cooked, and I can't have soft or leafy vegetables aside from kale because the texture is like harder vegetables. Fruit is fine but only if they're unblemished. And lastly I can't have meat I wasn't raised vegetarian I just don't like that I have to inspect it for deformities even if it's from a good source my mind won't let me so I don't bother with it. Everything else is fine.
I eat a lot of the same things, grits, bread with mayo, cut up veggies and fruit, Mac and cheese, pickled veggies. That's usually all I eat outside of restaurants or special events and I like it just fine. Recently he's been trying to include me in his meals though and It makes me mad because I think I eat pretty healthy. I comprised and I agreed to eat meat ONCE a week with breakfast lunch and dinner. It's okay but it's stressful for me and he doesn't understand he just thinks I'm "acting out". A few days ago he made me some lunch to just try and I know he worked hard on it but nothing on that plate I could put in my mouth, pinky steak, cheesy mashed potatoes, and cooked vegetables with seasonings and some type of sauce. He tried to get me to eat a spoonful of everything but He knows I can't eat even a spoon any of that except the meat. So I we got into an argument and I tossed the rest back onto his plate and then he got all quiet and went to eat the rest of his dinner in the living room. We agreed not to talk about it but he's been making little petty comments about whatever I'm eating. I asked my sister and she thinks I being immature. So AITA here?

So I myself am disabled, and do have a few questions. Mainly about what should I expect, am I going to be sent across the country often, how is the sleeping arrangements, and food?
I know I’ll be assessing disaster shelters before there setup, along with offering training and education. I’m excited but it’s not a lot of info.
