I had my first shot yesterday (2.2). I don’t feel that intense fullness people talk about after just a couple of bites, but it’s like I’m on some kind of mental reset. At work today, there were doughnuts and pizza in the lounge. Normally, I would have felt like I had to grab some, or I’d think about them all day. But today, I saw the doughnuts, thought they looked good, and then just walked to my desk without a second thought. It’s like there’s this quiet in my mind it’s so strange. I’m still hoping to feel that physical fullness people mention, but even if I don’t, I’m happy with what’s happening so far.

See how norms, even good ones- stay with us when we no longer need them? We are adults, we can do the things, thank god! We can carry our childhood curiosity and selves there with little traffic, and safely. Do the things your child-self wanted to do but was discouraged from. You are old enough to use bleach, wash clothes, drive, enlist in the army. You are old enough to make yourself a trusted caregiver who can know or really learn to know true danger from bullshit.

Any help on a way to remedy this? New to trying a mostly emersed setup, the water is usually just about the level of the top of the utricularia. Tank is always open so air circulation is good. The last couple days it’s been just below the lowest front right corner. I set this up appx 3 weeks ago.

IMDB Summary: Events over the course of one traumatic night in Paris unfold in reverse-chronological order.
With Irréversible as the next movie being written about on this sub, we have a lineup of The House That Jack Built, Red Rooms, and now this. One would think we're sadists, masochists, or both. If a sub-reddit could take a hot, cleansing shower, now would be the time. With that said, massive trigger warning for violent content.
This was not my first time seeing Irréversible. The first time I saw it was around 2007. I would have been 17 years old. Why did I watch it? This might come as a surprise to some people, but my father recommended it to me. To be fair, he's the same man that told me I "HAD to watch this movie... it's called A Serbian Film." Now, he likely recommended these to me because he knew I have a morbid side to myself. Even more-so when I was younger. Things that got people in a tizzy, and were considered controversial; I needed to see. Not just because it caused such an uproar, but also because I'm anti-censorship. You never know when something could end up getting banned, and become much more difficult to watch/read/play.
I could not vividly recall this movie. There were only a couple of scenes or details I could remember. The arm breaking scene in the nightclub. Followed by the fire hydrant bludgeoning. Lastly, the red hallways Monica Bellucci's character found herself in. However, I did NOT recall specifically the rape scene. I knew she did get raped, but not what was shown or how it was handled. And fucking hell... no one needs a 10 minute rape scene. That scene nearly caused me to cry, while simultaneously making me feel ill. What's interesting about this to me is I can recall never having such a visceral reaction to a movie. What has changed about me between then and now? First, and most importantly, I found someone I love to the end of the world and back. This dug me out of a pit of nearly life-long depression. A depression that muted everything in life. Secondly, age. I believe with age, empathy has an improved chance of becoming a personality trait of normal functioning human beings.
I can't say this is a bad movie. It's not. It's well made, well acted, and conveys some interesting messages. But man... I can't recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't want to be at fault for someone else having endured such a graphic depiction of sexual assault.
But, the film's trivia on IMDB is quite interesting. Movie on!
