Hey all, a friend that used to play in high school invited me out to play tennis for my first time today, I absolutely loved it. We played at a public walk-up court. I’m hoping to make this a regular thing (and potentially looking into beginner lessons).
Can someone help advise on court etiquette?
- If I need to cross a court to get to one beyond, should I wait until the people playing have a break in their game? Should I cut across the court or walk around behind it?
- For first-come/walk-up courts, is it rude to ask how much longer players plan to use a court?
- If I’m a beginner and inevitably hit a lot of balls into other courts (🙃), anything I should know re: timing to collect the ball back? Obviously, I don’t want to interrupt anyone else’s game if not necessary.
- Anything else you can think of that I should be aware of?

2025.01.21 07:26 Big_Drama_2624 I’m a grown adult but get constantly mistaken for a child due to slow aging
I’m 25f. Most people wouldn’t know that unless I tell them. At first glance I look roughly 12-18 years old according to some people. I get called “baby, sweet girl, honey, ect” by complete strangers using a tone as if they were speaking to an actual child.
But it gets worse.
I have had children repeatedly asking me to come play with them, and LITTLE BOYS TRYING TO HIT ON ME, INCLUDING MY NEIGHBORS SON’S COUSIN. I always tell them my age right off the bat and it usually gets them to leave me alone. I would never ever lie to a child about my age.
But because this keeps happening over and over I’ve gotten to the point where I hate leaving my house unless I absolutely have to. I used to enjoy being outside and taking walks around the neighborhood but I stopped doing that because of the kids that live in the same area.
These children are 7-14 years old and know exactly how old I am but they don’t care. In their mind because I look like a child I blend in. They would follow me around and just wouldn’t take no for an answer. Their parents know how old I am but they don’t care either. While I love kids, where I live it is considered HIGHLY inappropriate for an adult to be playing with a child unless they actually know them well enough (family wise, family friend wise) and there’s not way in hell would I ever risk my reputation. I know none of these children personally and it’s the same the other way around
I’m frustrated and tired of this. It’s no one’s fault that they assume I’m a child based on looks but I’m just so tired of it

So I just completed the "good" ending and I am tremendously pleased with the game. The joy at figuring out puzzles when I thought I was hopelessly stuck is unlikely to be topped by any other puzzle game.

The pearl on top of the bezel of my ZF BB54 is missing. I just noticed recently. I was suggested to buy a new one from AliExpress but I’m very unsure whether they would fit. They seem too big. On my watch, it is just the pearl itself that is missing, the metal insert is still attached to the bezel.

Hi Guys!
I’m after building a little dedicated m-itx build to mainly run Arma 3 + a few Headless Clients for a few friends (it will do other things too but that’s the main reason). ArmA is single core heavy if anyone is unfamiliar
I’m trying to maintain a reasonable budget and have been trying to research into a decent cpu. I seem to keep ending up at the R5 5600GT apu for ~£120. Enough cores, decent single core performance and iGPU so no need for a discrete - it will be a gui OS either Linux or windows, probs windows for ease.
Recommendations for a cpu (Intel or AMD) and some advice into something I may have overlooked would be appreciated. Second hand is fine too (in the UK for locale). AM5 would obviously be nice for any future upgrade but it’s probably pushing the budget too far. All in (no PSU) I don’t really want to exceed £350 but will stretch if I can justify it
I’m not new to computing, hardware or building - but servers have never been more than hosting on my main pc and it’s time it got offloaded elsewhere.

However he was not the best father to stiles and stiles cant forgive him so he doesn't join the pack while when his friends do he doesnt judge them for it because sheriff stilinski is a good alpha to the pack.” I have tried to find a story that has matched this description. It sounds like it may contain these types of tags. Bad parent sheriff Stilinski. It is probably tagged with all the early teen wolf characters from season 1 or 2. I am sorry I can not be of more descriptive but I have never read this story nor able to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

This short note is probably my first and last request made to you. As we all know, and we can see that ISM or IndianSocialistsMemes is dying of low participation, ISM has been always kept active by only one guy posting which is me, after that u/Feisty-Computer8250 started posting which is also mostly me (Its an account I had access to but its not my account) , so that means only one guy has been posting consistently and in all problems have managed to post everyday. We always had occassional posters (they never continued posting) but we can conclude 90% of posts are basically made by one person, directly or inderectly (me). Having one guy posting makes it such that you dont get a variety of thought, even marxists disagree on every second thing; it also makes it such that if one person in any circumstances fail to post or stops posting the entire subreddit dies, which is the case right now, I cant post anymore due to various reasons and I know nobody here really cares but There are right wing bigoted subs which have been created way after our sub but has managed to attract more people, we sure are failing and our thought definitely doesnt gets shared more creating a domino effect with capitalism getting stronger day by day. It is a thing that nobody really cares about up until the sword is hanging by their neck, which is too late.
My request to the members to at least post once a day, it doesnts take much time to create a meme, neither does it takes any effort , if one person carry single handedly an entire sub then its possible for anyone to do the same. what matters more is engagement and keeping our narrative fresh forever. This is the time to save the subreddit from its expected downfall , because this subreddit is dying and its their members to care, if the members want the downfall and surrender to bigotry- well we are in the same boat, therefore the bigots as well as us will sink together - and we will sink if not repaired the damages. Request to act fast and not let everything go into vain.
