Am I in the wrong to make my boyfriend stop going out?
I’m 23 y/o & currently in third trimester. My boyfriend (28y/o) who lives with me, has had a problem previously ditching our plans to go drinking and doing coke w/ his friends who are constantly talking crap about me in group chats because I get upset when he stays out late. We used to all go out together prior to me being pregnant.
Before he goes out he promises me he’ll be home by a certain time then never contacts me or comes home AT ALL. I have been told by a doctor I have postnatal depression/anxiety which I’ve noticed has elevated my anxiety when it comes to this. He was being good for a while so I let him go out and he does the same thing AGAIN. I was up until 4am worrying about him with him not contacting me whatsoever even though he was active.
Am I wrong or controlling for telling him for the rest of my pregnancy he cannot go out or I will kick him out/break up with him due to this, or speak to the friends speaking badly of me as it’s causing me stress?
I have given him so many chances to go out and do the right thing but he never comes home or lets me know what he’s doing.

Currently looking for a multiplayer online restaurant based game that is also a tycoon. We played overcooked 2 and LOVED it but wished it was more tycoon/building up style. We also played plate up and loved that, but wanted it to be more of an actually being able to upgrade/stick to one restaurant for awhile, without losing progress when we want to make another dish. I have no idea if a game like this exists but I’m thinking like rags to riches from the sims 4, but obviously restaurant based (could also be house based, i just want actual gameplay to earn the money and building) and multiplayer. Any recommendations?

My boyfriend has a lot of friends, both babae and lalaki. He's naturally friendly kasi. Meron din siyang girl bestfriend. Magkaibigan na sila since high school and we're all late 20s now. I'm okay with that naman.
Pero last month, may fiesta samin and nag inuman and nagdisco sila. Mas marami ang girls than boys, high school classmates nya dati. Around 5am na siya nakauwi and nalaman ko na inisa isa nyang hinatid gamit yung motor nya yung mga classmates nyang babae including yung gbf nya. I felt uncomfortable. Yes, hindi safe umuwi and wala nang masasakyan so bakit hindi maaga umuwi? Syempre, he was defensive kasi gusto nya safe lahat umuwi. Alright, gets.
And the other day naman, his gbf invited him kumain sa labas. It turns out, sila lang dalawa and sinundo pa ni bf sa kanila and hinatid rin pauwi. Isn't that a date? Normal lang ba yan? He was defensive again kasi nga "kumain lang naman sila". Pero bakit may pasundo and pahatid na naganap?
He gave me the famous line "I had a life before we met" and bakit ko raw pinagseselosan gbf nya. I told him na hindi ko naman pinagselosan yan dati, yung ginagawa nila ngayon is what's making me uncomfortable. He replied na yung overthinking ko raw ang reason why i'm feeling uncomfortable.
Sakin lang is bakit walang boundaries? Bakit parang walang respect sakin? Bakit walang consideration sa feelings ko? He doesn't see anything wrong sa ginagawa nila kasi nga friends lang naman talaga sila. I forgot to mention na may bf rin si gbf.
Now, he's not talking to me. Ang hirap daw mag explain sakin. So, ABYG dito?

Currently listening to Suffering on repeat, what a bop! But I remembered something, Odysseus asked his men to tie him to mast and didnt block his own ears because he wanted to hear their deadly song and survive. He ordered his men to stuff their ears with bees wax, but his weren't. I think it was to gain knowledge or something like that, so maybe that ties into the musical plot because Ody in Epic wants to know how to avoid Poseidon.
Just curious if any of you super fans know why that bit (Odys ear canals originally not being stuffed with bees wax) was changed in the musical? Is there a different version of the myth that Jorge was drawing from? Has he spoken as to why he changed that bit?

2025.01.21 07:22 AlpineGuy Is the "round robin" approach to time management the only reasonable one?
"Round-robin scheduling" is a term from computer science meaning that each running process will get a slice of the processor capacity one after another, again and again.
Especially as I grow older (now 40), I see myself confronted with many areas of responsibility that are basically never-ending projects. You can put as much time as you want into them, they are never "done". So what I want is an approach to divide my time between my areas of responsibility.
I can spend as much time as I want at work, it will never be done. I can spend as much time as I want on home improvement, it will never be done. Same is true for computer gaming, gardening, productivity research, home server work...
I have anxieties about my time management - every area demands more time. However time is limited. If I spend more time on one thing, there is less for the others.
So how can I approach this?
The most reasonable way and one that is easy, doesn't require a lot of thinking, and is easy to understand is something I would call "round robin scheduling", basically repeating time boxes for each area of responsibility.
So that could look like this: Every Sunday, I work in the garden. Every Tuesday I go to the gym, etc. Planning time for all the things on a repeat schedule (doesn't have to be weekly, some activities might be monthly).
Why is this a problem for me? Earlier in life I would approach projects more in a "batch" mode (call it "firefighting" if you want). So a deadline on a uni project would come up, I would work on it until it is finished. Something was broken? I would work on it until it was fixed. As mentioned, fewer and fewer projects have defined end and those that do are also much too long to batch them.
For a long time now I did reviews and tried planning projects one by one. Something like: on Monday I will work on project A, on tuesday on project B. However that produced even more anxiety. Why am I planning this one project on Monday and not something else? Why one day and not two? And why am I spending os much time on planning?
It would be much easier if the schedule was pre-defined and I had a stable rule. There is a time budget to spend on all home improvement projects. Every Sunday I do the home improvement projects. Easy planning, no mental discussions.
What do you think about this? What is your approach to dividing time between areas of responsibility in your life?
