Heya all, so I've tried to find a recent post on this sub to see everyones opinions on this but I could only find 2 year old posts. My question was, do you guys think it's currently worth it do pay for one of the subscriptions? I've recently picked the game back up and it seemed like there are a few new features? What's the difference between Rainbow and Aurora? Thanks up ahead!

My girlfriend (F17) and myself (M17) have been dating for 6 months now. I have a friend group of 4 people excluding myself, skater types that i've known since i was a child. All of my friends always respect my relationships, especially the nerd. However, when it comes to other women they are, as my girlfriend puts it, "evil." EG they will chat to multiple girls, cut them off for no reason, tap and gap, etc. I am excluded from this behaviour, and though i get teased about it a bit my friends are largely very respectful of my relationship. All of my friends have supported me through very tough times in my life, and i treasure my friendships with them as they are loyal and good friends, always having my back. My girlfriend hates them though, calling them evil and misogynists and is constantly talking down on them. She doesn't really like me hanging around them, and although she would never stop me from hanging out with anyone I can feel that she dissaproves. I understand that they aren't the kindest to girls, and are horrible boyfriends/partners/players but they are great friends to me. However I value my girlfriends opinion highly and would never want to let her down. Thoughts?? What should I do?

2025.01.21 08:40 Key-Driver6946 Whatâs your opinion: was Capitanoâs storyline ending truly epic or was it just a missed opportunity?
Over time, Iâve come across a lot of perspectives on Capitanoâs ending. Some people argue that the devs gave him a solid arc and a fitting conclusion that matched his characterâs story. Others, however, believe the character got totally wasted. Personally, Iâm more inclined to agree with the second, and hereâs why:
1) When weâve been teased the entire time with âMavuika is to dieâ and then the devs go ahead and âkill offâ a character whoâs been waving a death flag bigger than the Jolly Roger itself â thatâs a cop-out. No suspense, no intrigue, no logic: it just so happens that Mavuikaâs plan conveniently lines up with this one character being perfectly suited for self-sacrifice in her place. We learn about this in 5.2, and by 5.3 itâs executed, with a few extra reasons tacked on. It feels rushed considering the story spends 50% of its time on small talk and random festivities instead of building this up.
2) Starting with a cheerful feast, then hopping around with Kachina through teleporters, and suddenly finding out Mavuika is dealing with Ronova â only for Ororon and Capitano to inexplicably teleport to that no-name space where it all happens? Yeah, thatâs weak. No suspense, no buildup. The tone doesnât shift dramatically like, say, Squid Game does with its âcheerful music and bright settings while people are brutally killedâ contrast. Instead, it feels abrupt and clunky.
3) Capitanoâs motivation is layered so thick it feels like a triple-decker sandwich: âMavuika, you must live for your people,â âIâll avenge Ronova and master the leylines,â âIâll take these souls to the Kingdom of Night.â Itâs too much crammed into just 22 lines. This ties back to point 1: the devsâ approach to this story needed way more buildup to actually work.
4) Why did Mavuika so easily allow Capitano to sacrifice himself when she was ready and willing to save her people herself? We donât see her fear, relief, or even proper empathy. To me, it came off as, âMavuika, let me die.â â âAlright, go ahead.â No proper reasoning or meaningful discussion.
6) Iâm not a fan of the state Capitano was left in â itâs like some Schrödingerâs character situation. It doesnât create a compelling mystery but rather drags fans through emotional whiplash. Add in the fan theories, HoYo hyping him with two teasers, leaks from dataminers, and so on â itâs a lot.
Overall, my impression is that this was more about serving Mavuikaâs narrative than Capitanoâs. It was about keeping her playable and resolving the Ronova mystery, not about giving Capitano a meaningful conclusion. Sure, he had reasons to act the way he did, but the way it was presented raises a lot of questions for me. Yes, the cutscene was stunning, but everything leading up to it was disappointing. That said, I could be wrong or missing something.
And hereâs a possibly blasphemous take: it mightâve been better if the devs had killed him off in battle. Immortality â being immune to injuries, so there couldâve been a way, especially if it involved a fight with a godlike being like Ronova. Or they couldâve freed him from the curse altogether.
