He has a 70cm waist but this chart says if he was to have a 70cm waist, he would be bigger than what they actually have. They say their chart is in centimetres, but I think it's in inches.  | Hey everyone! After few weeks ago i was admiring my shrimp tank as usual when i noticed something small and dark skedaddle across the aquarium. At first I thought I was just crazy but when I looked at my sponge filter I noticed a small dark something hiding next to it. I wanted to take a picture but it was just so small and taking a picture of a dark creature infront of a dark filter is really hard. Today I noticed it again! It was lying still next to the glass. I think it’s some sort of baby fish? Kinda looks like some cory thingie. Can some fish experts try to ID this little creature and tell me what to do with it? 2025.01.21 12:20 Asherogar People are overreacting hard on guarantee not carrying over.
I know, I know, another gacha system thread, however with all that happened the past few days I feel I must clarify some things. Even if the post ends up drowning in downvotes, at least I've tried.
What happened as I see it:
- Beta started and we got information on gacha system, like rates, banner mechanics, etc.
- Some people overreacted to guarantee not carrying over to the point of outright calling the whole system trash.
- Other people, as a response, got super defensive and started personally attacking the overreacting crowd and as a collateral anyone with a different opinion.
- A lot of misinformation, strawmanning and belittling flies around from both sides with people trying to make sense of the chaos or having a more civil discussion ending up being blasted from both sides for not being radical enough.
- People got so into fighting each other, no one even remembers what's the argument was about: guarantee carry-over.
For players it just feels better to use. No more awkward sitting around with 119 pulls and skipping a character you really want. No more being destroyed by back-to-back banners. If you want a character, you can just try and the worst that can happen is you don't get the character, the same as what you're currently forced to have with guarantee not carried over.
But how does it affect economy or HG bottom line? I don't see any impact:
- Pull economy is identical: no more, no less pulls.
- Characters cost the same, players don't get them any cheaper.
- Even if you luck out and get the character for less than 120, you now has less pulls for future banners. Your total amount of pulls didn't change at all.
Overall I'm really surprised and disappointed seeing both sides: the ones calling the whole system trash (especially once it got pretty much confirmed the characters are going to the global "standard" pool) and the ones dying on a hill of "no guarantee carry-over at all cost" (because reasons?).
