I want my note taking application to have the following: * Hierarchical note storage (Folder -> Section -> note) * ways to link notes * mind map feature * infinite canvas that can be imbedded in my notes (I want to combine typing notes with handwritten notes) * 3rd party cloud storage options (compatible with onedrive or dropbox)
I have actually been messing around with Joplin for a day and found that it has much of what I want. But the obsidian mind map feature is so appealing, and I haven’t been able to find a Joplin plugin that truly replicates it. Also Joplin only has Folders -> notes, which I can live with but i’d rather not.

2025.01.21 14:08 Competitive-Knee3673 AITA for cutting off my family after my mom passed away? (This all happened in the same year)
This all started when I (21F) was adopted by my aunt due to my biological parents being lower class citizens with 6 children (me being the 3rd child) sadly after I was adopted my biological parents would refuse to let my aunt or other family members adopt my other 5 of my siblings or accept any help of any kind.This arrangement led me and my biological family to drift apart and only seeing each other during the holidays.
When I was about 16yrs old I was hoping to build a connection with my biological family. I first attempted to make a connection with my mother and father which led me to have sleep overs with my three of my younger siblings and treating the older two to movies and pizza; and they even invited me to my three younger sibling's baptism. I felt complete with a side of my family coming back to me and my loving aunt.
That was until they all ghosted me for about 3 months, which completely broke me because around that time I was about to celebrate my 17th birthday and I had been trying to contact them. There was not a single word from the throughout the months leading up to my birthday. So you could imagine the surprise I felt when my three younger siblings and my older sister(19F at the time) walked through the doors of the venue I was having my birthday party at.
The explanation they gave for not communicating with me was that my Mother had cheated on my Father and that all my siblings kicked out my Mother out of the house with all her belongings. I decided not to ask more questions about the whole situation because I was worried about how my three younger siblings were feeling about the situation. About a month after my birthday I was on a call with some family members that lived overseas, the call was going extremely well! The usual "I miss you" and "what do you want from here" but the call took a quick turn after one of my family members asked how my mother had died. I didn't know how to react to that, my ears started ringing and my heart's was racing.
I first called my father to confirm if the news was true or not but he just said "ask you a sister, she knows", even tho I was confused I quickly called my older sister asking if it was true and what exactly happened. All she said was "she was sick and died two months ago". I didn't know what to do with myself because I didn't know her and I felt guilty feeling sad because my siblings were the ones who were raised by her. Around this time I fell into a huge depression with lots of guilt which got so bad my aunt had to put me into therapy.
Eventually Christmas rolls around my aunt sits me down and told me "She isn't dead, your sister made people think that she was to get more attention" I. Was. Shocked.

2025.01.21 14:08 Traditional-Citron21 2025 Kia niro regen braking not working
The silver colored paddles on each side behind the steering wheel. I'm pretty sure that's the regenerative braking going from lvl1-max.
Anyway I went to hit it this morning and it says this feature can not be used while cruise control is active. Cruise control is not active, I push control it turns on, push it again cruise control is off, still get the message when trying to use the paddles.
I've restarted the car and tried again 2 times and it stills says this. It's -12 degrees here this morning, I don't know if some sensor is just way to cold and thinks cruise control is on or what.
Should I call a Kia dealer and see when they can look at it or give it a day to warm back up and see if it works. It was working yesterday.

Olha eu h(17) e minha namorada m(17) a gente está junto cerca de 3 meses, e quando a gente se vê é mil maravilhas tudo ótimo pessoalmente é muito bom a gente tem um ótimo tempo de qualidade, mas como ela mora em outro bairro e eu não tenho como ir na casa dela quase todo dia a gente acaba se vendo 1x por semana ou menos.
Até aí tudo bem eu amo ir na casa dela e ficar com ela por lá, mas o problema é que por mensagem ela parece não se importar tanto ela some por umas horas e manda mensagem se desculpando dps, é claro q eu entendo ela tem sua vida pessoal mas é meio difícil pq eu sou uma pessoa q gosta de conversar o dia todo.
Ela trabalha na parte da manhã e de manhã é dboa ela tá ocupada msm e eu n me importo com isso, o problema é de tarde/noite quando eu quero conversar e perguntar como foi o dia dela e tals. Talvez eu seja muito imaturo mas é isso
