Interviews for a dreamjob after 14 months of unemployment. A 70k salary range was discussed and job duties etc. It went wonderful. I was told last week by the manager that they would now be seeking upper management approval to hire me. Great! But then today, I receive an email for a 30 min teams meeting to discuss the offer tomorrow. Is this common to have an offer discussion with HR or is my gut feeling of doom warrented?

My sister-in-law was murdered nearly a year and a half ago. Her mother - my mother-in-law - just got a new puppy and named it after her. My husband - brother of my sister-in-law - and I both find it a bit strange and unsettling. She said it’s normal for parents of murdered children, and apparently others in her Facebook group for parents of murdered children have done this. What do you all think?
Just to add: my mother-in-law has my sister-in-law’s three kids in her custody, so we feel like it could be unsettling for them.

2025.01.22 00:42 irrefragabl3 Lemon Squeezy can be extremely confusing.
I am building a SaaS and basically want to charge for credits. At first, I went with a basic subscription, with variations, charging more for larger blocks of credits. But Lemon Squeezy customer service confirmed that a user can't upgrade a subscription on their own. So if the user runs out of credits and wants to upgrade to the next tier, they'd have to contact me.
I don't like that, so I thought I'd try graduated pricing, charging a flat fee for up to 100 credits, and then $0.05 per credit after that. This gave me a checkout that says, "Subscription from $0.00. $5.99 + from $0.00 per unit billed every month."
How is a user supposed to make any sense of that?
I'm partially just venting, but also wondering whether anyone has tackled this sort of problem with Lemon Squeezy, or any other provider, like Paddle.

Been house hunting lately and I’ve been wondering.. what is the hdb resale market really like? Some of the resale listings I’ve been to so far have been done like a condo open house where agents schedule throngs of people to view the unit at the same time to generate some fomo-ness/false hype around the demand of the house.. how many people are actually offering exorbitant prices (say > 900k-1m for an 30 y/o old hdb flat) and are we actually getting played by these agents??

2025.01.22 00:42 i_critique_buttholes Gold don buyouts, how cooked am I?
Been trying to complete a playset of gold rosinante don, I ordered 2 from 2 separate sellers on tcgplayer on the 15th which was a Wednesday. Bought them for 60-70$ ea and neither seller shipped by Friday which is fine although tcgplayer policy is to ship within 2 business days.
Now all the gold don including rosinante are being bought out and the latest sales have been 90$+ and 100$+ on tcgplayer and ebay.
As of sunday, both sellers have marked it as "Shipped with tracking." As of tonight, USPS tracking site shows both are still in pre-shipment with "Shipping label created, USPS awaiting item." It's been 6 days and the cards still haven't been shipped but granted it's only been 3 business days if we exclude the weekend so I could just be overreacting.
Anyways, how concerned should I be about the sellers mysteriously not having the card in inventory and refunding me? From what I recall I wont be able to leave negative feedback if they refund. Surely it's suspicious if both sellers claim they dont have the card right when it doubles in price, is there anything tcgplayer can do for me in this case?

First time buying from Geek Time -- a PAM1616 that I really like the look of. Kind of a monster, but fits for me. I love the look of it and how it wears.
Buying process was great all the way around, but...it was DOA. No movement at all. QC'd just fine but shipment must have taken its toll (FedEx to get out before CNY).
Anyone have experience working with him and having a DOA watch? Website says they are gone for CNY.

Hey all,
I know it's not Nashville proper but I wanted to get the most eyes on this as I can. Thanks in advance!
Our family lives in Nashville but is going to relocate in a few months to the Cool Springs area. The place we are considering is zoned for Franklin Special School District, which I frankly didn't know was a thing. It looks like there is one elem, Johnson which (from the internet) doesn't have great reviews. We're currently at Granbery and aren't sure if we should just suck up the drive back to Nashville for two years or if Johnson Elementary is decent. Granbery is okay. It's definitely not as amazing as I thought it was from reviews/reputation and the principal is the actual worst but it's familiar and we've been there for 4 years so...there's that.
Additionally, does anyone happen to know if we could petition to just go to a Williamson County school? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences to share, good or bad.
